Absolutely fabulous Bram I followed your clear instructions and I got a very decent painting at the end ,thank you BRAM looking forward to painting along with you again .
Thanks for this video. I followed along this weekend(skipped on the big tree as my skill set is not as good as yours) but I think it turned out decent. thanks for posting this!
Lovely, I am trying to learn to paint with oil and this was the first tutorial that I was really able to follow and get a result I am happy with. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for this 🙏 I am completely new to painting and hope when I try your tutorials it is not considered as plagiarism because I absolutely love this one 😍
Thanks it was most helpful.Elaine and I are going to try it. We were really excited and impressed with you.thanks again. The gang from Virginia Beach. Bootsie and Elaine
I followed your tutorial and I really enjoyed it. Mine didn't turn out too bad considering I don't really paint very often. Thank you for the tutorial. It was super easy to follow and the painting you did was very pretty.
I absolutely looooooove this video, I THOUGHT I had something else to do however, your style commanded my attention and suddenly I knew whatever I HAD planned would simply have to WAIT!
I loved this painting and I was very happy with the result, so much so I painted it again this time using phalo blue instead of the red , it came out great ,limited colour paintings are ideal for me as a beginner, thank you BRAM your the best!
A very interesting tutorial, I must try to create this beautiful sunset scene myself, but I'd have to take my time and do it stage by stage. How much I admired the end product and it shows what you can do, if you're willing to work at scenery creation.
I just saw that episode like an hour ago on this Bob Ross station on my Samsung TV lol Amazing how all these paintings come out so great with little effort. Just have to learn the techniques and have the right tools with a big imagination.
Bram this is AWESOME. May try this one for sure. Need so much practice on script liner brush.just never can get branch and limbs right. Thx soooo much.
I had the pleasure of seeing how you paint with oil paints, the painting is amazing, I wanted to know the name of the red paint you use, thank you very much
Great painting. I’m really liking the minimalist paintings with only two or three items. Did your northern lights turned out fine still need to practice making pine trees with the filbert.
very pretty! I find this ironic because 1. you posted this on my birthday :^D and 2. I did a similar painting just like this about 4 days ago ! Love it
Would you recommend oil or acrylic paint for a newbie like me? Im a bit apprehensive about painting because I’m not good at drawing and I don’t want to waste money buying a starter painting kit. I know I shouldn’t doubt myself but I’m disabled and live on a fixed income so money is tight. P.S Your painting came out beautiful. Im glad I subbed your channel
This one is awesome, and I can't wait to try it! I love the color. I have been practicing things like trees, mountains, and scrip liner trees ... filling up canvases with nothing else, and this has been really helpful (along with your tutorials on these things) Is there something you can suggest using to practice on, rather than expensive canvases? Thank you for the instructions!!
I used to use cardboard boxes we had lying around. You can paint on just about anything. It is more about getting to feel of the brushes down than anything else. Once you can do that, you are on the way.
Beautiful Bram! Thank you for doing these videos! I have learned a lot from them! On using liquid white versus liquid clear Bram, what makes you choose one over the other , When doing any certain painting? It sounds like using liquid clear makes the colors brighter if I’m understanding it correctly?
Hi. Can’t wait to try this. You might want to tone the ads down a bit. Really too many. Also I missed what you Said about white. Are you using just cad yellow, or yellow white mix? Thanks.
Hi Jason. Have at it and have fun. As for the ads, I have no control over the ads folks see, the placement, or the frequency. I can turn the ads off but I figure a few ads is worth some free content. Thanks for looking!
Would the results be crazy different if I used liquid white? Just be more muted and “Smokey” looking? I ask because I don’t currently have liquid clear, when I purchased my supplies this past weekend I only picked up the white. As always thank you for taking your time out to do these. Really inspirational
Not really. Just like you said, it would be more muted. Still pretty. You could also just apply the red to the canvas dry. That would be tough and might involve a trip to agony city.
@@paintwithbram well, I do feel as though agony city is my natural state lol. Maybe I’ll hold of on this being my first go until I get liquid clear then. Thank you very much for the reply and your work is breath taking.
@@christophercox5157 No way! Try it with the liquid white. I have painted a similar scene and used liquid white. It is still a nice bright color. You may prefer it.
That's a fantastic tutorial, Bram. Will you ever do live paint alongs or have you moved exclusively to TH-cam? Keep it up my friend. These are fantastic!!
Thanks Chris! Plan to do lives again soon. Because I use my phone to record and stream video, I have to have 1k followers on youtube. Getting close and plan to do a live soon after that.
Love your videos. I have a question. I use Bob Ross paints and they are too oily. I put my paint on a paper bag to draw out extra oil. What can I do to get my paint more dry? In your opinion, what is another brand of paint that is very dry? Thanks.
Hi, quick question, did you use liquid clear on its own or did you thin it with anything? I don't want to apply as is and wipe it with a paper towel, that's just wasting a lot of liquid clear and it's too expensive to do that. Many thanks
Sorry to bother you... If I use acrylic red to cover the painting first - do I still use the liquid clear first or do I use it after the acrylic red? Or not use liquid clear at all with the acrylic?
Use your red first and let it dry then the liquid clear if using oil paint. If you are painting entirely with acrylic, don't use any of the oil painting mediums.
Thank you for watching and sharing! Please don't forget to hit the subscribe button if you enjoy seeing these! Happy Painting!

Bram, I’m really liking the pine trees with the filbert brush! We really need a tutorial on the script liner brush doing tree branches😃
Coming soon!
Well that's great.

Me too! I have always tried to complicate a scene and it is nice to just focus on having fun and keeping it simple.
@@paintwithbram I think I’ll be teaching these when I get back to teaching at our senior center. It’s all about having fun.

Glad they are helpful! Yes, liquid white diffuses the color which is great in most paintings. If you want the pure color, liquid clear works best.

Wow, this is beautiful -- What size brushes did you use in this tutorial?
Bram - You said several times toward the end you were using liquid clear with paint thinner to do trees. Don't you mean liquid black? Great painting!
Nope but that would work
Vielen Dank für das schöne Video. Was ist flüssiger Klarlack ? Das kenne ich noch nicht in der Öl Malerei.
You can use linseed oil
Thank you 🙋
Dankeschön ❤❤

Could you please recommend a very dry oil paint for Bob Ross style painting? Thank you.
So you used acrylic paint for the under painting??
Bran what can you use if you can’t get bob ross liquid clear?
Linseed oil will work just fine
Can I use linseed oil instead of liquid clear?
Yes you can
Can I use liquid white? I dont have any clear.
Could this work with liquid white too instead of clear?
Just duscovering your work and channel but very inspirational would like to use your knowledge and try mine own version if thats ok with you.
Please do!
