$76000.00 for a 1500 P/U truck. That is nuts!!!! Way too much money. I dont care what engine is in it. Deisels engines are great to have if your towing allot etc.
How can the dealer say that $72,000 is the new normal.

And that's with a POS diesel and all the modern emissions equipment that causes all sorts of problems.
@@jonathantaylor6926 EPA mandates it. What is nice about the newer Duramaxes is that they can be deleted with a tune and turned back on for emissions testing.
I just purchased the same truck minus the tonneau cover. Coming from a 23 Colorado ZR2 the space and fuel efficiency are huge upgrades.

Great video, I have had my 23 Silverado with a LZ0 for 10 months and agree with your comments on the diesel. The low end torque is great as is the fuel economy. After watching your video last night I paid attention today on the noise level, you know it's a diesel when you first take off from a start, noisier than my old 5.3 but not annoying as I sort of like the diesel sound. I am into the habit of turning off the auto stop/start as soon as i start the truck up.
You can fill a lawn mower or tractor with gasoline on your property but not your own car or motorcycle at a gas station. NJ needs to change that ridiculous law.
I agree with you. Those laws in NJ and OR are simply ridiculous.
Gas is New Jersey is near national averages in cost, and I don’t have to get out in the cold, rain, and snow to pump it. There is no large outcry to take that luxury away. Get over it.
@@Bum_Hip It's about choice. If you want to stay in your car, that's great. But the option to SELF SERVE should be allowed the same way it is in neighboring states like NY and PA. People who like their car don't want strangers scratching or dripping gas on it.

If you’re going to pay $76,000 for a pickup truck you better be making $250,000/year. I would never pay that for pickup or any other vehicle. It is a nice vehicle it’s the cost that makes this crazy.

I always reset my trip A to 0 when I get fuel! Helps me keep track of how good I do on gas in addition to the computer That might be something unique you can do for your customers. Reset the trip meter and show them look. I've only gone 1.7 mi since I've gassed it up for you.

The card likely declined because you used twice for fuel at different locations within a few short minutes. It’s probably just an anti-fraud thing, but should be easy to just call the company and approve the charge. I’ve had that happen to me before.

I worked for a Chevy dealer before and this always happens when I fill up more than 1 vehicle in a short time frame so I always had to go inside and the rep would have to override the card to complete the transaction.

Really good looking truck and great engine even though I am always afraid of diesel maintenance repair issues. Wish it did not have start/stop. Otherwise really nice.

@@DaveBsellsChevy True. Would love to own a chev suburban high country '24 model. We don't get them here in New Zealand (nz). If they were here, we'd be looking at around $180,000 nz (about $135,000 american). That price goes up against the European vehicles here. The gmc and Cadillac models are more expensive here. I understand the big Cadillac e vehicle might be coming our way late 24 or mid 25.

I really enjoy your videos. It would be helpful (and informative) if you distinguish between vehicles you “sold” versus “leased”. Obviously, a sale is far different from a lease. I still find it amazing that customers actually pay (down payment plus financing) $76,000 for a truck - but can (a little) understand them committing to a high lease payment.
i heard that there will be the Traverse Limited wich is the last gen hat will overlap the new gen have you heard about that, i know GM di this in the past with the Malibu,Cruze and Impala

Well at least you'll get your one percent cash back on that fuel purchase. The numbers on the fuel pump were rising at an alarming rate so my BP is higher as a result.

On the diesel ZR2, does the remote start activate the glow plugs on a cold start?
Yes - engine knows how cold it is and if it needs heat from the glow plugs it will delay cranking for a couple of seconds to get heat from the plugs.

We have a dealer here in Ohio - Ricart Ford - they have their own gas pumps.

OMG , you sold that $76,000 Silverado at full MSRP ? They are discounting full size pickups $10-15,000 everywhere in the country. The other customer is a fool for leasing .. as your miles are so limited .. why buy a new car and not be able to drive it .. say on road trips etc.
Not Zr2's.. The leftover 2023 Silverado Crew with the 2.7L will currently get you $7750 in rebates before any dealer discounts.

Lol, truck showed up from the factory with 15 miles on it and now it has 21 because we filled the tank... that's extra haha. Guess I should sell it as a used vehicle.
