We love our Tele X! Any new piece of kit it a bit frustrating to get used to at first. Especially on the first setup. Austrack has put up some really good videos of the setup including the awning that are worth following. Hope you stick with the camper cause it’s heaps better than tenting it!! Nice spot too!
So far we have loved our Austrack and it has allowed us to see some amazing places and experiences. Keep at it and I’m sure you will come around to camper trailers mate!
@@MrScrofulous Got that pic for you but YT won't let me post here so reach out to us on FB and I'll get it to you facebook.com/wewentthatawayadventures
We’ve had a few issues but nothing we couldn’t fix. Had to readjust the tent a little. We only carry the poles for inside and the windows. They all stay inside the camper when packing up. That makes that whole top shelf free.
We have the savanna x but our friends with the telegraph x taught us a little trick with the annex- assemble the annex before raising the main poles in the camper…. Saved our marriage I think! LOL.
Have a look at the RAAWcon annex pole conversion for the annex poles. Also look at the annex pole carabiner pole mod you can do to make attaching and detaching from the main annex a bit easier too, same/similar to this: th-cam.com/video/u9R2lhO_cU0/w-d-xo.html
The frustration of being noobies and not setting up and checking gear. Sound like a good trip.
@@chucksnothereman that's what shakedown trips are for

Where do people attach the water heater ? Silly me assumed that it would actually be fitted, but that was before I met the "Austrack experience".
we've mounted ours inside the door of the front right hand compartment
@@wewentthatawayadventures Any chance of a pic somewhere ?
@@MrScrofulous I'll get you one as soon as I can
@@wewentthatawayadventures That would be awesome, thanks :)

That makes a whole heap of sense. Thanks
I’ve also got a longer drain hose from BCF. Just screws straight in under sink. The one it comes with is crap.
yeah we are doing that too, gets annoying emptying a bucket all the time

we have the carabiner mod, we've got the awning set up pretty down pat now. Thanks for your advise, much appreciated
Forget the annex. We use a Coleman dome gazebo or normal gazebo. So much better and quicker.
