I was just thinking how nice it would be if there was holiday cabins at Loch Ness . Its lovely to see so many places are dog Friendly which is awesome .Not over here in Australia .As far as I know . But Where I live I am not Aware of any. Another wonderful trip. Thank You Jamie for sharing. I am so grateful to you Because these are amazing places I will never get to see

. ...this brought back memories of a trip back to my homeland from Canada as a teenager in 1978!!...travelled around england scotland & wales on a 6week britrail pass stayin at overnight youth hostels with my older sister...in the days when that was a safe thing!!!...the world has changed so much since...we hiked up Ben Nevis in poring rain one day...it was very cold for July...not anything like the summer we left behind in Southern Ontario nr great lakes!!...but it def was worth the adventure!!...i totallly recognized this walk along the canal to Loch Ness..but it sure has gotten busier since...i went back there again in 1982 for my honeymoon & did the railpass trip again with my hubby whose of scottish heritage...it was an adventure i would love to do again as a 60yr old!!...maybe someday if the world settles down from all this craziness...🤔😉😁💖🐕🐺🐼🐈🐈💖...until then ill just enjoy Sherpas lovely travels!!..thnx for sharing your lovely doggo with us!!💖💖

My mom and I were there on a Thursday in mid-July 2012, and yes, it was packed!! It might have had extra people due the PGA Scottish Open starting that day. I had found out about the golf when I was researching places to stay in February and immediately booked our B&B right across from that beach. We stopped at a restaurant on the north side of the loch before going to the B&B, and met another American couple who were looking for a place to stay. I had to break the news to them about the tournament and warn them that they might have to drive all the way to Fort Augustus to find someplace open.
I could listen to sherpa talk alday 💜💋 his voice is so relaxing 😌 😍

My kitty Meg fell in love with Sherpa videos a couple of months ago and now I am watching this after your passing sweet Sherpie and she just jumped up to have some snuggle time as she knows her mumma is sad.

There is an old military road down one side of Loch Ness running from Fort Augustus up to Inverness, it's mainly single track with passing places and some parking areas but gives you a much better drive and view of Loch Ness than going down the A82, I've done it several times whilst touring in Scotland.
Sherpa is the dog anyone would wish or like to get as a pet.
I guess you just missed the Loch Ness mondter must have been having linch with Big Foot ! 😂 Lovely scenery as always 😃🐕💙

That was a beautiful wander, Jamie and Sherpa...especially through the woods to the falls. Sherpa just walks along enjoying the different scents and checking everything out. I always look forward to your videos they have become routine now. I'm really enjoying seeing your tour round the north of Scotland i'm ashamed to admit i have visited more of other countries than my own i think in the future I am going to start my holidays more closer to home. The farthest north of Scotland i have been is Aberdeen i went with my mum i don't really remember much. A couple of years ago I went tpo Perth which was nice then last year Dunfermline and then south to the Scottish Borders to Melrose which is a lovely place i would highly recommend you visit.
I'm from the States (so, bigger country), and feel the same way, Theresa. All I've seen if Scotland (in 10 days) was a small town near Aberdeen, Ben Alder, a bit of Loch Ness, a bit of Skye (train ride through the Highlands on the way), a bit of Fort William, a bit of Dundee, a bus ride from Aberdeen to Edinburgh. But no time for "wanders", as I had other people with, and that dictated how long I could spend at a place. I hope to go back

I would imagine it would be nice to stay in the cabin for a couple of weeks more. It was spacious, looked lovely inside, and the "yard", was great.

The path next to the water, and scenery is just so beyoooottifuuull. But even more so when Sherpa is there!
Damn that was a lot of ducks lined up on the water's edge. If you ever go up to North Wales again (Anglesey, mainly, plus you can get the ferry to Dublin), there's a Puffin Island. You can only go by boat, can't step onto it as it's conservation but the puffins line up just like that. And there are so many castles, sites, cute villages, boats...lovely to visit.

There have been numerous sightings of Nessie but so far non of the people captured it on tape

The water was quite choppy on Loch Ness, I wonder if it's always like that? Sherpa the experienced traveller settles into any hotel room, doesn't he?
Loch Ness is narrow and long as a result the wind easily creates a choppy water conditions depending on the direction of the wind
Sherpa's clearly enjoying himself. How beautiful! Loch Ness is so serene and the falls remind me of mountain areas I've lived near in the US, like Tennessee, N Carolina, Virginia and W Virginia. If I go to Scotland I know where to go. Seeing Nessie would be too cool.
This is the first video of Loch Ness I've ever seen. The history makes it a great place to visit.
