Yeah I agree. I go to a church that doesn't necessarily supports gays but we do care for them. We are taught to love everyone and show them to God. A parent's job is to teach their child right from wrong, and if that parent is a Christian, he or she should be teaching their child that practicing homosexuality is a sin. This certainly does not mean that the parent should hate or disown their child by any means, but simply that they should talk to them and tell them what the Bible says about the issue.
If I were a parent and my child were to come out as homosexual, I would sit down and talk with them for a while and tell them what God says about the practice, and that I will agree with what He says, and then let them think it over...And of course I would pray for them every day.
