Thanks Jim. I am also in the States. Near St. Louis, Missouri. Germans settled in a couple towns near me on the east side of the river (in Illinois) and so we have festivals with German music. That is where I learned to like German music back before TH-cam. I also have German ancestors. If you want one brand, I say Seydel. There are 2 versions, the Sailor (good for melody with chords) and the Skydiver (good for melody, see my video about Richter and Asian tuning). Hohner Echo (the German made ones) and Suzuki Humming are also good. All these are good and it comes down to personal preference. There may be other great tremolo harps, such as Tombo, but I have not played those. Do not expect much from cheap harmonicas.
