Sharvara part, Sharvara is by far the best card in Unchained, without it, the deck is not really worth it without especially as you need to play another brick in an already bricky deck to be able to finish your combos.
But I feel like MBT meant that Sharvara sees mainly plays in Yubel… Because they search it anyways for “free”! They don’t need more and Yubel already got the new grave squirmer which is Sharvara 2 for Yubel.
The thing with Unchained as a package in Yubel is it allows you to get Soul of Rage for a SP Little Knight play where you're removing 2 problem cards. 1 with Soul to link off a SS'd monster, and another with SP to remove a card from the field, and a potential third hit with her on-board effect to temporarily banish a card.
Let's not even begin with how Sharvara setting Prison lets you get Soul of Rage again for another steal later on into the game. As well as Yama being in the GY being able to revive any Fiend in the GY, meaning Sharvara Pop Spirit of Yubel gets you Sharv, Spirit gets Yubel, and Yama can bring back Spirit to go into Varudras.
The Unchained package for Yubel requiring only 2 slots in your maindeck and 2 at minimum in your ED is just phenomenal when Dark Beckoning Beast alone can set up the Unchained line.

@@coders1786 Fiend Pile as it's called or Fiend Link (weird as there's a lot of fusion being done) is what I'm planning on taking for Nats. I honestly think it's gonna be one of the harder decks to play but gives you the most rewarding board and has the flexibility to adapt easily based on interupts.

@@adamata64 Yeah but that’s what I mean, Yubel doesn’t need to run more Sharvara, he is searched off of Yama.
And Yama is an unchained soul monster so he makes Rage.
In this case, Yama is absolutely the problem, ban Sharvara and you can replace it with an Aruha for when you’re done with non-fiend stuff and you miss out on the trap, which not all Yubel run.
Sharvara at 1, currently, only really matters for Unchained specifically because Yubel doesn’t need more copies of a card they’d get for “free” anyways, it’d be like running more Boot Sector Launch or Dragon Ravine copies in Dragon Link.
Not saying no one would run it at 2+, but it’s way less value in any other deck when it’s your only search target and not the rest of the archetype.
Lol plants can play through any one handtrap in a average hand and still put up a decent board through 3 with a good hand

Sharvara playing around hand traps was good for the game. It forced players to not just play 20 of them
But it didn’t though. You needed to play hand traps to beat tearlament, which would just FTK you if uninterrupted
Kirin does the same thing, is at 3, and the format is still handtrap heavy, nor does it make its own deck remotely playable, sharvara had NOTHING to do with it.

I like unchained and think they shouldn't have immediately religated them to rogue by limiting sharvara, but saying unchained/sharvara was fair is crazy
Not only was sharvara a card that can dodge targeted negation, it also allowed you to play around drnm/droplet by popping rage and then reborning it with yama
3 sharvara also made it comically easy to make ceaser, whereas it's a lot trickier now, and ceaser is also insane
And lastly, sharvara is an additional way to pop your own card and summon abominable soul from deck
