His argument is that we need the natural bacteria on our skin. Humans have lived with it long before the industrialized world. But that’s just it. The industrial world is what is now on our skin. What is his solution for people who live in cities and densely industrialized areas where the air is polluted with toxins and their pores are filled with airborne chemicals and “unnatural” elements. Those are surely not doing any good to our skin biome, right?
Being heavily exposed to environmental toxins implies, based on what James is saying, that it’s even more important to maintain a healthy skin barrier (natural oils). Rinsing your skin with filtered water would likely be his recommendation.
I learned in Nursing School that Water is Life. Cleanliness is part of health. Plus a daily shower makes me feel so good. Count me out. I keep taking showers. Daily
It's about the soaps used and the chemicals your body absorbs 😂 and you say you went to nursing school. What did you learn and actually double check on? If you were smart you would know alot more than your ignorant comment lol
And he's showing that "being clean" is actually destroying your health... sooo... I tend to trust researchers more than the nurses. Nurses are the last to get the information.
When I was 24 I stopped washing my face for 5 yrs. My acne got slightly better but was still bad. Then I started using differin gel, salicylic acid wash every other day, and moisturizer. My skin has been clear, I look younger, and looks smoother for 2 yrs now. I’m curious to what he would say about this
@@bpet2237 If you feel like your skin is gross or uncomfortable or untouchable, or you are worried about something touching your skin, then pimples show up in that spot. Sounds like total pseudo bullshit but, I can't find any other way to explain acne, in full, so it's kinda just what I believe. Back when I was worried about touching my face if I caught me resting my hand on my cheek, I'd get pimples there the next day. Now I rest my face on dirt, my desk, my hand, and nothing- that's just my experience. It's a self fulfilling prophecy. If you feel comfortable in your skin, you like the products you use and how they make it feel, and you think of you skin as "heathy" then your skin will be fine. I also think that's why teenagers have it more often, cause they are obsessed with their appearance, or feel gross.
Actually, he is just one practical guy who knows how to take care of himself in a not-so-common way 😁😊😸👌

water is not the problem
So he has no odor in the important parts of the body? Surely he uses a skin brush to get off the dead skin?
no, the idea is to let your body regulate itself, have the mites take care of dead skin cells, good bacteria keep the bad in check, etc.

Acne is a mental health issue. That’s my take- I’ve struggled for a while. I don’t anymore.
@@morplagro1545 what do you mean mental health issue?
