David Thomspson Amen Brother I’m at that point to, as it says I’m James what is your life? But it’s like a vapor that’s here today and gone tomorrow... I’m 47 and in my heart The Lord would have to REALLY speak to my heart otherwise, this is a true story, a year ago the Lord changed direction in my life, told me to move several properties and move to the country, I told my wife the whole time, when we found the property I knew in my heart it was it, at closing when we got the address it was 7772!!! The Lord I believe gave me that so I would know I was in His perfect will because 3 weeks ago my wife informed me she was taking her 2 children and leaving they wouldn’t be going with me!!! The Lord spoke to my heart about doing something for Him winning souls... she left me, blocked me on her phone, I have no clue where she is, who she’s with or anything... I have a C-7 spinal cord injury and in a wheelchair, You know what most people do when they separate right?? I don’t have to elaborate??... not me I am seeking God!! I refuse to date only work and home setting up the farm he told me to do.. she pretty much abandoned me which is fine I have family brother mom dad at the farm.. somethings not right as I asked her to please not leave and let’s go to counseling, she left, I contacted her twice to ask.. your a believer in Christ but you won’t go to counseling?? Because she had asked me to go like a year ago.. she blocked me everything, there’s odviously something going on behind the scenes.. it seems to me there’s no loyalty or respect in relationships anymore

I've been in two unholy relationships, and I see my singleness now as a gift. No more distractions, no more rebellion, no more obsessing over the wrong men--it's just me and the Lord, and I have never been more at peace in my life. I would prefer to get married one day but I will rejoice and submit should God decide that I stay single until I die.
I agree. I am in my 60s now, and never had a successful relationship that would have led to a good marriage. I am not lonely, have a great church family, and absolutely love the peace I am experiencing with this single situation.

Ounce a guy I was dating told me he respected my values and could deal with a sexless relationship, I was happy. Turns out he was handling so well because he was cheating lol. A lot of searching and prayer lead me to singleness and joy now I'm head over heels for Jesus.

I needed to hear this. I still battle with lust. Especially after divorcing my X-WIFE. This also put me in a bad situation with a woman I dated for 9 months. Had I paid attention to what God was showing me and not allowed lust to control me, I would've seen that she was seeing another guy behind my back and staying in close touch with her X-husband..🤪🤪
Folks, when God is trying to show you something when you're dating someone, please listen. I mean no matter how nice or attractive they are, God has a reason for revealing people to you.. Me and this lady went to Church every Sunday. Despite all that it came out 9 months later.

405 boy, I know what you mean. I was on several dating websites at the beginning of the year. Every guy I met, I prayed and asked the Lord to show me the true person. God always showed me their true intentions. Always bad. But like another person said, it was a great blessing in disguise. It hurt but I am glad I found out early before my feelings developed. Praise God for His leading.

I always wondered why every relationship failed in my life. It pretty much opened my eyes that God wanted me to be single, and focus on Him. 4 years later, I’m still single and serving the Lord. It’s amazing the things God is doing in my life ❤️

I have prayed many times about wishing God would tell me I would never marry and if this actually came from Him, sooner or later I accept it and move on. But this is a desire that is very deep inside me and never stops. And almost 6 months ago God told me in the book of Psalms that I would soon meet the lady He has for me, after that time He has confirmed it in many ways. It hasn't happened yet, but it will happen.

1. If being single helps you to serve God MORE than if you were married.
2. If you have the gift of celibacy and are at peace.
3. If you have the gift of singleness, to pursue God and are happy to be so.

@@Cloudforest811 You could look at what marriage entails :having kids (if you choose to) and taking care of them, having to please your husband and the focus and obligations u have to ur family if u can compare that to being single and not having to do those things so you'd have more time to serve God better. U can gauge and analyze if it would work for you through that.
@debonaesimpson3742 Any person would have more time to devote to God if they're single. The issue is with contentment of making yourself a eunuch for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. As Matthew 19:12 teaches us there are various types of eunuchs. All of them can choose to serve the Lord for the sake of the Kingdom even if they did not choose to become a eunuch.

I really felt like GOD IS CALLING ME I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT OBEY HIM I LOVE THE FACT HE CHOOSES ME AND I HAD TO LET GO OF MY PAST AND FORGIVE ALOT OF PEOPLE AND STAY SINGLE TO SERVE HIM

I used to want marriage, but now I have no desire for it anymore. I don't want to change for anyone except for God. After this last relationship I was recently in for a month where he was super controlling, obsessive, possessive, and insecure, it made me realize that Jesus is enough for me. Every man I've ever dated causes me too much pain. I love and value my singleness. I'm completely content with it. Plus I've been single, independent, and self-sufficient for so long, it's hard for me change up my life for someone. Plus Jesus is returning so soon, so I'm fine never marrying.

I know Christian me who have sought marriage online Christian dating with women from other countries because they seem to take the commitment more seriously. I am not certain if it’s across the board. I do know two that married Filipino women and they have an amazing marriage and had not with their American wives. I have had terrible experiences here in marriage. Yes more than one. I’m about done with American women.

Same here too. And I'm a man. I really just want a companion burning with desire to serve God that can push me to a more effective service. If we become romantically attracted, then we may later on marry, but sex and marriage should be "if" not necessary.

My old lifestyle of womanizing left me empty trying to fill in a void that only CHRIST filled in. Now my life is surrendered unto HIM. Obedience is better than sacrifice, I choose to life my life single until the woman I desire for HIS kingdom Glory is presented to me whole. I will continue to wait. I'm almost three years abstinent. Holy Spirit had to clean me up and heal me. I had to repent of some things, some iniquities etc. Baggage had to be unpackaged. I had to commit my ways to the Lord again. I had to no longer worship marriage and then I had to not worship singleness and run to it like a refuge when a relationship failed. So now I'm like Lord whatever your will is is good with me. It is well with my soul. I've come a long way.

This is the best gift or calling that I could ever ask for. A lot of people seem to not really understand the fulfilment that I have by being single. Sometimes I just got tired of responding to their messages of convincing or pressuring me to have a significant other. This is the life that I need and want! I am my own person and I dedicate my whole life to my Creator. 💚
Oh, it's so deeply fulfilling in so many ways! I can't even begin to extol the virtues of singlehood. The depth, the richness when you focus on the Lord alone, the peace, the healing, the beauty of His presence is priceless. I cannot and will not exchange it for any earthly thing or something like marriage that will be no more in eternity. It boggles the mind that most do not know the richness and beauty of God's love, of His character. This is a taste of what it will be like in Heaven.
Yes I never understand why friends and family of people who decide they want to live as single adults refuse to accept their decision. They continue to badger you as if you are making a mistake and they're here to help you change your mind. Well I am single and that's my choice. I haven't had the opportunity to get to know the love of God as some, but it is my hope to learn that.
@@forgoogletotrack7181 You have to remember that God created marriage as a gift as well. Singles can't belittle those who marry any more than married people can belittle singles. However I agree many who do marry are not ready and not content in Christ Jesus. So they try to find that contentment in their partner instead of God.
My problem is #2. Sometimes I think I'm strong, then I'm reminded I'm so human. I won't look at anything or do anything about it, but wow, physically it's like the body is meant to be with the opposite sex. Also, I'm a hopeless romantic, but I'm keeping all of that until I meet the one~ Haven't even held a long gaze with a someone yet, I always break my eyes away, so shy in this area. Sinéad Torres Biblically the concept of “The one” isn’t biblical neither is soulmates their may well be multiple people you are compatible with, that are Christians, to be clear however I’m not encouraging polygamy.
Dickheads Rebuked so I honestly don’t believe in soulmates either. However I do believe God has a exact plan for all of our lives. In Jeremiah it’s speaks of Gods plan before the world came into existence. There is nothing random or coincidence with God. Also being compatible is not an indicator that the particular person is Gods plan for your life. Also being compatible at 25 may not be compatible at 30. So God who sees in the distance has designed someone for every season you will go through. However if you say Ohhh there my perfect match now, 2 or 3 years from now, you might be looking at the worst decision of your life. A lot of it is Deciding to trust Gods plans and forsaking ours. It’s a choice, and choosing to be obedient or disobedient will ultimately change the trajectory of your life. Sorry for the long reply.

@@HamiltonRowan-r6z I been a barber for 20 years I saved my money and I have worked in different states. Yeah what I mean is living with less instead of being bombarded by material things. The simple life. Girls never wanted me I always got rejected so now I just accompany my self. No one can do what I do so I broke from all people pulling me back. I go mountain biking all over America now.
I was very very afraid of this but I want to have my own family someday. I really have this desire and dream of taking care of my family like preparing food for my husband and kids, carrying my baby and having conversations with my husband.So does this mean I am not called to singleness? I hope not. :( Please God.
jennytravels I think the crux of the issue here is trusting God. And not only trusting Him, but believing He put those desires in your heart to fulfill them.
The enemy wants you to believe God is holding out on you. This is not true. God is committed to doing what is best for your life.
I admit it’s tempting to think God won’t provide a spouse, as it’s not specifically addressed in the Bible. But if we look at the life of Christ, we see a God who is intimately familiar with us and our struggles. He will not fail you, sister. He may not do things on your timetable, but He will always bring to completion what He has begun in your life. Rest in His love.

@@zzzleepie I feel ya! I had the same concern about the world being too evil to bring children into, but God challenged me why I couldn't trust that His blessings addeth no sorrow. If He blesses me with a husband and kids, He's the same one who'll protect and nurture them. I now have no worries; all our lives are in His hands and His promises will be fulfilled in my bloodline in Jesus' name.

I don't want to be single but I know he's calling me to it. So I need to get over my sadness my heart was never mine to give. I know I need to serve God more than myself it will be a journey but Worth it.

I love singleness.
I don't think that is what God is calling me to (its been a process!), but singleness is so relaxing and wonderful.
Just knowing God alone is everything, is so reassuring. Its exhilarating.
And knowing friends, both men and women, are just that--it's like family. It's so simple. I want to keep all my relationships that way.
I'm going to miss that, I think. But I know God will lead me to what gives Him the most glory.
I'm almost 29 and never dated, I wasn't planning to either when I was 24. But 25 onward God has been softening me and training me. At 27 I fell in love, and I never thought (still don't know how) that was possible.
I'm not attracted, or I wasn't attracted to anyone before.
It's been really hard overcoming temptation to thoughts, but God has been showing me how.
I am still learning, but this relationship is teaching me patience I never thought possible.
I feel like I'm becoming a soldier!
I can't wait to see what God does, even in the next few months, and also the next 3 years.
This is the first time I'm feeling ready for whatever happens next--singleness or marriage!
Singleness for God is so underrated in our culture, but holiness is not for sissies!
I am in a single season because of the passing 2 years ago of my wife of 37 years. It can be really challenging being single after being with someone so long as I had been, but I have not given up on love-I still believe that God has someone amazing out there for me! I have a preaching/teaching call on my life, and I have a desire to have a help meet to step with me into what I feel is my best years. I’m trusting God’s time for it to happen!

@Lelani Nelson Wow, you act like there is something wrong with what he said. It's quite natural for a man (Christian or not) to desire a woman. It's usually just a strong indicator that God does not intend for him to be single his whole life.

@Lelani Nelson Why are you relating everything to sex and being carnal??? The desire for the opposite sex can be more than just sexual, it can be for companionship. That is completely natural, and as the video stated, it's properly a good indicator that someone's not destined for life long singleness.

I know I’m called for marriage. I’ve been engaged a couple of times but my ex was not a believer of God. It was God (message was delivered by another person at the alter one day randomly after praying) who told me my ex was not my husband. Now I want to get into a relationship but no prospects. I’ve been so patient and now I’ve become so frustrated. I’m in my 30’s and want a family. I’ve been so depressed about my situation lately. I have to be stronger and know marriage will happen soon. :-)

I've been single(divorced) for 19 years. Celibate for 4yrs so far. My problem with churches : They have no place for an older single woman. I've given up looking for a christian based marriage and chosen to remain single. I hate it when church members try to fix me up with someone or pray for me to have a husband. It's as if the "church" thinks I'm useless until some man marries me and then I have value, worth, etc. There's no place for single, divorced women today. Its just so frustrating. 😡

I will follow God’s will for my life, I’m good if singleness/celibacy is a part of that, if not and marriage is, I’m fine with that, either way may his will be done, but that’s the part that can be tricky finding out what his will is, however just be clear both singleness and marriage are good, neither being better except in time and focus dedicated to God.
Dickheads Rebuked idk if this helps, Scripture says “His Will is our sanctification”... so to me that would mean.. if something causes you to sin, cut it off, if your eye causes you to sin pluck it out.. So if be single is causing you problems and struggles with your sanctification then it’s His will for you to marry, however if a person is in a marriage and that marriage is causing them be hindered in there sanctification and a spouse leaves, abandons you, and goes into another relationship breaking the covenant through sexual immorality then that’s probably something you need allow out of your life and pray the Lords will for the rest of your life.. chris parker Amen, wise words friend, personally I kinda lean towards the idea that unless told otherwise God leaves it to us, but warns of two thing you already said one of them, the other is not loving anyone above or even equal to God, for if we do we are not worthy of God.
Dickheads Rebuked BE VERY CAREFUL, I got married and wasn’t on fire for God or His Word so my discernment was LOW to say the least, Now my wife says she’s a believer, got the Holy Spirit, that’s between her and God only He can judge that but I will say this, a year ago I cried out to God to set me free from deception and lukewarmness, I asked Him not to let me die like I was, retired sitting on my but with a remote in my hand doing nothing for Jesus, to please use these things to build treasure in heaven.. The Lord answered that prayer and began to birth something in my heart, He told me to LIQUIDATE a lot of those assets that I needed to move to a bigger piece of land to be self sustainable it’s gonna get bad, He pushed me for 3 months I know it was His will so I began to move in faith, well the 3rd step in was finding the property He said you’ll know in your heart when you find it, it took 7 months but I found it, put a contract on it, the address I got at closing was 7772 which was confirmation!!! Here’s the kicker, it’s 2 hours away, my marriage had been rocky for a little while, it’s hard being a step parent today especially.. but she informed me like 2 months ago that her and the kids weren’t going, she was leaving and filing for divorce!!! She had tried to get me to go to counseling a year ago I offered to go but she didn’t act interested she moved out a month ago and blocked me on her phone... people only do that Jesus said Moses only gave you the certificate of divorce because of the hardness of your hearts is the only reason... I prayed and praise about it the Lord said forgive her, give it to me and you continue on and follow ME!! He said you have 2 choices, you can worship the creation or the Creator you can’t worship BOTH!! These are perilous times!! Remember there’s only one Ruth to THOUSANDS of Delilah’s and Jezebels BE VERY VERY CAREFUL!! They to have a charisma a draw that counterfeits the Holy Spirit REAL WELL!!! I pray discernment for you in Jesus Name!!

Psalms Ch 1 if I was you I’d memorize it!!! David was a man after Gods own heart so I would imagine the FIRST thing he had to say we should probably listen.. Psalms 1:1.. Blessed is the man ( that Hebrew Word is gender neutral so Blessed is the person that walks NOT in the counsel of the Ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners not sits in the seat of scoffers but his delight is in the Tora Of The Lord!! Now people take that as His law but that Word actually means Gods instruction!! If we will walk with those THREE principles..
1) NEVER EVER take ungodly counsel only Godly counsel and you’ll know the tree by its fruit.. make sure they have the proper fruit as a believer and not just the words...
2) we DONT STAND in the path of the sinner.. what that means is people who aren’t born again, and some that are but are like warm and straddling the gene ( I’ve been guilty at times of that myself but basically these people live to please there flesh, we are human and believers may find themselves there from time to time but they DONT STAND IN IT or practice it as a life style because anyone that has the Holy Spirit will have a HEAVY hand of conviction on them to pull them out... we as believers sod our feet with the Gospel of peace that’s what we STAND ON....
3) we don’t sit in the seat of scoffers.. notice how he said we don’t SIT IN THE SEAT?? That means these people are SITTING around doing NOTHING but scoffing and and criticizing everything everyone else isn’t doing right... I’d rather be trying to do something for Christ wrong then sitting around not picking everything everyone else does.. at least there trying!! If you’ll put these principles at work in your young life and set healthy boundaries and anyone that doesn’t respect them loses the right to have any say in your life what so ever!! Be blessed!!..🤛🤛🤛

After watching this video I think that somewhere down the road God has someone for me. Whilst that's a nice thought and very comforting it's also not a good thing. It seriously worries me. If I am put in a position to date someone, even if they are someone who I truly like I know I will have to reject that person. I have so many mental health issues and insecurities that any relationship would just turn into a toxic mess. I have a habit of burning bridges and I don't want anything to get to that possibility. I can't put anyone through that.

Yeah, I think I’m going to end up not ever getting married. I’m completely okay with it if I don’t ever get married. Whatever God has plaanned for me, I accept.
I feel God is calling me to singleness. He’s shown me in many ways. I’ve asked for confirmation and he has given it to me. Unfortunately, I struggle with sexual temptations a lot. I don’t watch secular movies and I keep myself studying for school and reading Gods word. However, thoughts will come in or in my dreams. I’m able to control myself but I feel as if I’m burning on fire. I literally have to get up and run and pray. I deeply long for a partner but I do believe God has called me to singleness.

I have a very low sex drive. I have no desire for sex.. as a kid I never envisioned a wedding like most girls do or a husband and kids. I believe god's called me to a life of singleness. the issue is I'm in a 5 yr relationship with someone who doesn't desire sex or marriage either. but he desires partnership. he's afraid of being alone.. but I'm praying that God shows him that He is enough for him..

Please don’t bash me, I’m new on my walk of faith and sometimes I find things to be contradictory. God puts an innate desire for us to want companionship and children but then people turn around and say it’s a blessing to be single. I’m 35, no children and never had a thriving relationship and I’ll admit I’m very lonely, depressed and just suicidal at times. I’m not sure what to do.
Keep praying and ask God for direction proverbs 3:5 keep seeking after him Matthew 6:34. And just know God Has a plan for your life as it says in Jeremiah 29:11. God bless you and I’m praying for you also psalms 34:17.

Not everyone who is single for life has the gift of singleness. But you surrender your desire for marriage to God and live as if you have the gift anyway. You may struggle from time to time, because you don't have the gift, but it becomes your "thorn in the flesh"!

But then I wonder about my future husband, and I have a desire to marry my best friend. To do God's work with my husband, and to have a legacy (kids).
Right now i am appreciating my singleness, and the season I am in. But I am open to whatever God want to do :)

I am 31 year old single Christian man. Never been on a date or been in any relationship. Not one girl has ever showed interest in me my whole life. Every time I asked a girl out. They reject me. I don’t just ask out any girl. I really make sure she is someone who really has God in her life and is kind. I am a person who was brought up in such a loving family with strong faith and I was born with strong empathy for others. I do have a cognitive Learning Disability which makes it hard sometimes to keep a conversation going. I was wondering if everything I described above means God trying to tell me about permanent Singleness.
Im kind of in the same boat, I did get very close one time with a co-worker of mine about 10 years ago in which she and I both had a "moment" that went on for about a week or two, but it never went anywhere beyond that, one suggestion i have stumbled across in trying to understand why I at 35 have never had anything of the sort happen to me is to try and find those who are unloved and need it more than you do, kind of makes me wonder if I should volunteer for an animal shelter as that would fit that category.
Been single for 9 years now, luckily I'm still young, I'm 27, sometimes I don't understand why but I believe god has given me this time alone to work on myself and I thank him for that. Still have a lot to work on but the waiting season is almost over I feel it god bless you all

I think the Lord might be calling me to a life of singleness based primarily on your first point. In reviewing my pursuit of various relationships in my past, I have noticed a pattern of almost idolatry--without fail, I always started pursuing said person, but then I'd always start to pray for x person in an ultimatum-type way the more I pursued them. My story has an added layer of complexity, though, because I used to struggle heavily with masturbation. God has been working in me for quite some time, and he has helped me not to burn with lust as I used to/instead draw closer to him in my moments of stress(primary trigger).
I continue to pray about this daily, of course. I watched your video about taking the desire for marriage away because, although I currently feel like singleness is the best, we have all also been isolated for so long that I'm not sure anymore if I will have that desire or not the more and more I interact with people as before. God is faithful, though, and if I find that my desire is not going away, then he and I will cross that bridge when we get there.
God enabled Paul to be faithfully single as a convert when his wife left him because of his beliefs. Before Paul/ Saul, become a Christian, he was a pharisee of the San hedren. You had to be married. So when converted, The Father, through the Holy Spirit, enabled him to be faithful in his walk.

At this point in my life, I feel like my singleness may be a season or it may not be :) I don’t know God’s plan yet, but I know I would sincerely be content either way. In the meanwhile, I’m walking happily with the Lord, praying every day for Him to show me how I can serve Him, and He’s very close to me. Definitely enjoying this season of singleness!

So 1 Corinthians 7:36-37 seems to clear up the confusion for me. As in, it basically just boils down to whatever a person wants to do. It makes me wonder if there are a lot of confused single Christian people running around due to how 1 Corinthians 7 has been interpreted. I used to have amazing self control and never had a problem with lust ... but here lately I have been struggling with that in my thought life. I've been feeling really guilty about it and kind of confused about it since it hasn't really been an issue ... this makes me feel a lot better about my desire.

So here's my thoughts that literally hit me last night. I grew up fantasizing as a little girl does, about being married. Cooking and making my husband happy and vice a versa. I chose a life of singleness many times. I allowed woman to manipulate me into wanting a relationship when I didn’t desire one. After many times of having to adhere to the ways of the world I finally decided to cut them out completely. I am not biter or lonely because everyday God is with me. He filled that void and gave me peace in singleness. I will not give up my peace and relationship with god for a worldly relationship with a woman. My family knows I’m the only son who has had success with woman and doesn’t like the idea but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
This helped me get some perspective. I've had to submit to and surrender to my singleness, because my desire for a mate is so strong. This has felt like something is missing from my life for a long time. In the end, we just gotta trust God

@@chrismugleston8625 thank you, sir. I just learnt this a few short months ago and it blew me away. I have grown up around Christians my whole life and no one taught me this. I think it's so interesting that we are all flabbergasted by the LGBTQ movement and how it's moving into the church, yet the church is bursting at the seams with people who are committing "legalized" adultery. The deception in these last days is thick. I wonder what else I still don't know, because the "church" is not teaching it.

I think marriage is a blessing, but it is also a difficult thing as Paul says in the Bible (something about the married will have trouble, but he will spare them the details).

The sad truth is, there’s not a lot of single Christ centered women out there. It’s is extremely rare and not only that I’m pretty much called to be single without a partner. I don’t want to be married through this world but with Christ. I’ve been through so much unfortunate bad luck on this Earth and I give my life to Christ whether I live or die here on this Earth.
