The 2nd Half of the Breakdown is "Green Skirt Chase", the Chase / Alert theme from SpongeBob. Hence why it sounds so random. It went REALLY well with the song considering the story BOI WHAT is doing.

I like the idea of Sandy since her softer voice is a great contrast to Plankton's harsh one. Contrast in prog metal is part of why I love it so much, like Periphery's screams and falsettos contextualize and contrast each other.
It definitely gives me some Bring Me The Horizon or Bad Omens vibes and I am all for that.

this may be a hot take but this is genuinely my new favorite song by BOI WHAT, i really like the lyrics, beats, and drop and everything, and I enjoy the tone of Sandy's voice tbh, i dont see anything really wrong with pitching it up a little, some people when they sing get higher anyways, but I do agree on wanting to hear plankton a little more but its an incredible song!

@Grover91 hahahaha i HATE that. I had to go through a couple of videos on youtube before i found it lol. There needs to be a Shazam style song dearch where you can just hum/whistle the tune or melody, and it can tell you what the song is. It would save SOOO much stress 🤣
i like how sandys parts sound more orchestral and more of a toned down singing voice where plankton is starpy contrasted as loud screaming vocals, (at one point almost sounding like he is speaking from a megaphone or blimp or sum idk) and the harder hitting instrunments on his side make it feel like an ongoing battle between the two, fine work

Honestly, the bridge sounds less like DragonForce, a lot more like Pendulum, sort of Witchcraft/Propane Nightmares Era tone. As other comments have said it's "Green Skirt Chase", just tonality wise that's what it hits me as the most.

It took me a LONG time to remember where that "Dragonforce" sound came from, but it's from in the show. It's like a chase theme or something of that sort from the older days (maybe modern too, I haven't watched in a long time)

I think that upbeat bridge was a supposed to be the tune that plays when he controls spongebob to bring a krabby patty to his lab, then there is a song that plays in that scene, I think thats what that is with a twist but sounds kinda close could be reaching.
