You have to admit that this is the best that James' voice has sounded in years! Freaking amazing

They have a LIke button for that.
....and we're gonna press the fuck out of that button!!
Maybe on this song. On other ones, it falls flat
guitarbro you're nuts. James has killed it on this album thus far.

This is literally the best Metallica song in nearly 30 years.
Agree
This is one of the songs my grandma asked to put on when I drove her home from her sister's house. At first I thought she was kidding so I asked her, to be sure "you mean the song I stopped when you came in the car? Mind you, it's pretty aggressive". She was not kidding, apparently I made her discover metallica and she loves them. She literally adores S&M 1 and 2
Nice, you should also consider introducing her to some more thrash metal bands.
@@asmodai2025 yea I know i tried but I think she likes metallica in particular because their songs are the easiest to listen to, especially the lyrics since James doesn't scream too aggressively. I tried with pantera and she doesn't like the guitar tone too much and doesn't like the singing style. On the other hand she loves queen, acdc and guns
Bullshit no she didn’t
@@jinsakai9729 ok bud don't believe it, what can I say🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Who doesnt
In the 80's they said music videos are waste of Time and money. Now they make music videos for every song on the album :D
globalization time buddy
+GOSH1406 It has nothing to do with globalization lol. It's just marketing because the music industry has changed and many within that industry such as the globalists can't see that. As always Metallica is ahead.
because at the time it really was. mtv was the only channel and they weren't by far as big as they are. I was there, being a fan since 1987, Metallica exploded outside the die-hard-thrash-metal fanbase only with the Black Album, in 1991. and it was WEIRD Metallica being suddenly "cool" and widely accepted.
this one is cheesy as hell
I guess because they knew the album would end up on TH-cam regardless, so they wanted to put it out themselves and have control over the process.
-"Dude, only the lowest tunning can be heavy"

Trivium also made E standard heavy asf
@@jorge0358 The only song with E standar has 7 strings guitar, doesn't count

Right? The artistic fun of this video aside, creating more and more powerful artificial intelligence is not something to be done carelessly and/or solely for greater profits.
Both endings to this album and the new album are both amazing I love both Soo much but inamorata is Soo more soulful and emotional so that's why I like it more

Osprey11 Same here. Played it at least a dozen times today. What a killer song!
Woah you have been playing it over and over since this morning? That is so amazing. No-one has ever done anything like that with a Metallica track. And since this morning too! I cannot believe Metallica hasn't made a song and dedicated to you.
Rob Stricken He wrote that two days ago... maybe he's still listening. Way to shit on the guy for no reason. Dr. Dre wrote a song about you...."Bitches ain't shit"

Neglected Child I'm with you! Such a heavy intro!
Neglected Child Easily the best song on the album and the best song since the Black album.
same, that riff is bad ass.
this and hardwired are thrash at its finest roots
This album has been half and half for me. Moth to a flame, this one, and atlas rise are all really good. Didnt like hardwired and another one that they dropped yesterday
2:42 - 2:58
One of the most agressive and beautiful bass solo in the history of metallica. Rob, Cliff is proud of you
Pretty basic, really. Rob's done much better.
YOOO! It ain't no bass solo, my fucken bro. It's just the same riff as the riff that is played by the guitars right after it, but played an octave lower.
@Mahmut Ebrar AçıkVEVO Yes, but 1. Rob came up with the riff if I remember correctly
2. Bass solo that's the same as the guitar riff has happened before in metallica.
In orion, you have the bass solo after the guitar part in the beginning, and once that bass solo stops playing, the guitar plays the same riff. And the interlude bass solo, there is a very quiet Clean guitar playing the riff so no.
How would you know, charlatan?

They have a moment like the in the end credits to The Lost World: Jurassic Park. It was the scene where the guy gets eaten by the T-Rex and the credits said Unlucky Bastard
At first, I thought it was Tom Savini and I was like, "WHAT!?"
by the way he is the director and producer of this cinematic masterpiece
You must feel like reeeeeal clever
Metallica really pulled off something special with this album. It's the perfect homage to their entire career. It's a great album. Bravo, Metallica!
Henry Lozano You're totally right. From the slow and heavy to the fast and trashy. They fuckin' nailed it.
FROZEN
...3rd'd!!!
This is like a spiritual sequel to all nightmare long
I agree, and also feel like Room of Mirrors is a sequel to this one. In the making of Spit Out the Bone video, one can see that initially, the song sounded more "happy", not as menacing as in its final version. Unfortunately, in Room of Mirrors they did not manage to remove the "happiness" and make the song menacing the same way they did for Spit Out the Bone.
This is without any doubt one of their best songs ever. It's just amazing
Me: plays spit out the bone

I love how each song has a story to it.
This is such a deep song, I see people talk about the riffs, the drums, the tuning the vocals and other stuff, while all of that is brilliant, the theme and message of the song is really something to ponder upon.

I 2nd that
Spit, Hardwired and Atlas are all masterpieces in my opinion and I personally rate this album right up there with Kill Em All and Ride The Lightning. Justice is in my second tear along with the Black Album. But ya, this is the best song on the album.
If it had 12 songs that sounded just like this, it would be fucking boring. Metallica's records are usually great BECAUSE they have a rich diversity of sound. Not just the same thing for 12 tracks.
