I've thought of boxing in the float for protection... At the River 10 - where the porkers are now - can't use a float because using bilge pump on 12 volt. But later we'll be using those 275 totes full of rain water and could use the float method.
If you made a stand for your tank on the gator and make it taller than your tank on the feeder you could gravity flow it with a hose and save all the trips with the bucket.
