    Several years ago I saw this video and it caused me to create a threshing bucket similar to yours. The difference was I cut a much smaller hole in the center of the lid just about an inch in diameter. This greatly reduced the vibrations when threshing and allowed my to thresh more head of wheat without making a mess. I too had my brother weld some smooth hanging lamp chain to a 3/8 inch piece of rebar which fit my electric hand drill. I too took the time to cut off the heads from the stalks of the wheat. I still use it and it works GREAT! Cutting off the heads from the stalks is very time consuming but I do all this cutting in my basement in the evenings where I can watch/listen to lots of "TH-cam University" videos of others in the evenings, THANKS for your informative threshing setup. My next project is to modify my scythe with a cradle to help keep the wheat stalks cut and bunched together after each swing.

    This video gives me chills as it helps me to understand what God means about threshing and winnowing in the Bible. Now I really understand the meaning of chaff and how He will separate the wheat (the righteous) from the chaff (unrighteousness ) in Luke 3:17. 😮 In Isaiah 41:15-16, He also says that He makes us a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth & we will thresh the mountains & beat them small. I’m the threshing instrument, the flail. And the wheat is the mountain that I will thresh and beat small. Mountains representing every high thing, evil thing that sets itself up against the the righteousness of God, anything that fights against us or contends with us. God is making us a new instrument to demolish or & destroy it!! Hallelujah!!! Thank you for this video for context. You explained everything in great detail that I was able to understand it. To God be the Glory!!!

    I like the simplicity of it, you could yse a threaded rod and slip it through the chain, fixing tge chains at regular intervals by double nuts. I suppose it might help with long and short lengths of chain.

    Is I was to cut the grass with a regular riding mower would I be able to use a hay baler like yours to bale it? Or should I use a special mechine to cut the grass?

      That BCS tractor also has a sickle bar attachment that would be perfect for cutting hay without chopping it up like a brush hog or mower would do

    Great vid! I wonder if you can use a big tray of 1/4” wire mesh hardware cloth as a sieve for initial removal of chaff. (So berries fall through sieve). Love this vid!

    One failing is that the machine doesn't have a guide designed to divert the cut hay into windrows. That's an advantage scythe mowing has over the BCS, aside from also being quiet and fuel free.

    • @gertmana1789
      @gertmana1789 ปีที่แล้ว

      You first let the grass dry spreaded and after 1 or 2 days you put the hay in windrows. With the scythe after the scything you have to spread the grass out.
