Absolutely have to appreciate the time and slowed pace taken when camping by yourself. No rush to do anything, just enjoying the weather, nature, appreciating the time to setup the shelter in the rain,taking time to cook and eat. Really makes you enjoy the outdoors.

It's impossible for me to relax with it. Once I went camping and the tarp was punctured, every night it rained I got wet, the tent floor was soaked, and my mini mattress was wet. I literally woke up in the middle of the night with my back freezing cold from the water. I prayed it wouldn't rain 😂😂

If there are any children watching this who think it looks fun, then PLEASE join your local Scout group. There are groups everywhere (at least where I am in the UK), and as a 20 year old who was in Scouts for over 10 years, I cannot stress enough how fantastic it was. The first thing I’d say is it’s almost certainly not what you think it is, it’s not a “religious, god-worshipping thing where you do parades all the time” as I would have thought it was. That category is about 5% of it, and even then, I’d say most people don’t care and know that part is just ‘tradition’. I’ve visited 3 countries and done countless nights of camping similar to this video, as well as so many unbelievable activities I wouldn’t have dreamed of doing otherwise. You can also meet so many friends that you wouldn’t know exist otherwise. I’ve taken part in international camps, done white water rafting in Norway, river walking in Austria, real life monopoly in London, discovered and cooked new foods outdoors, tried mazes/obstacle courses, archery, air rifle shooting, walks and challenges at night, I could literally go on for hours. I would honestly say that being a Scout has been both the best, and most influential decision of my life.

It's impossible for me to relax with it. Once I went camping and the tarp was punctured, every night it rained I got wet, the tent floor was soaked, and my mini mattress was wet. I literally woke up in the middle of the night with my back freezing cold from the water. I prayed it wouldn't rain 😂😂

There's just something- I don't know what it is- about tents that just seem so satisfying. Setting up a comfortable shelter to be protected from the harsh nature, but meanwhile peacefully blending in and seeming so natural. I love camping so fcking much

If there are any children watching this who think it looks fun, then PLEASE join your local Scout group. There are groups everywhere (at least where I am in the UK), and as a 20 year old who was in Scouts for over 10 years, I cannot stress enough how fantastic it was.
The first thing I’d say is it’s almost certainly not what you think it is, it’s not a “religious, god-worshipping thing where you do parades all the time” as I would have thought it was. That category is about 5% of it, and even then, I’d say most people don’t care and know that part is just ‘tradition’. I’ve visited 3 countries and done countless nights of camping similar to this video, as well as so many unbelievable activities I wouldn’t have dreamed of doing otherwise. You can also meet so many friends that you wouldn’t know exist otherwise.
I’ve taken part in international camps, done white water rafting in Norway, river walking in Austria, real life monopoly in London, discovered and cooked new foods outdoors, tried mazes/obstacle courses, archery, air rifle shooting, walks and challenges at night, I could literally go on for hours.
I would honestly say that being a Scout has been both the best, and most influential decision of my life.
