    Nice ride but let’s talk about where it was stored and the condition of the hoses and fluids. If it has just sat around and now you start driving it you’ll for sure be getting some leaks. Keep up the maintenance vids 👍🏻🇺🇸

      Exactly what I was thinking.... there's a lot that could go wrong even with a vehicle that only has 1k miles but I love that its basically fresh off the show room floor.

    I’d love your opinion. Same truck but NO triple lock. Has less than 200k. Interior is cloth (which I prefer) and is clean. Exterior looks super clean. The back bumper looks a bit touched up. Dude is selling it for $10k. Should I go for it? What’s a reasonable offer w out insulting? I’m hurting for a car and don’t have an entire $10k. I need a couple months but I don’t know if it’ll last.

    • @LNDCRUZIN
      @LNDCRUZIN  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would offer whatever you have, but also be aware that there could be other maintenance that might need to be done. Like a knuckle rebuild, the pesky heater hose among many other things. But if it's rust free and everything looks good it never hurts to go see it in person, deals are always made in person with your offer. Hope this helps.

      @@LNDCRUZIN judging by how clean the interior and exterior...it looks maintained. He also has a pretty big house. Family owned. I love it and would bid for it if I had $$$$. But I would be too worried driving it off-road. I wouldn't even want to get a single stone chip let along any bush pinstripes. 😆

    Isn't the switch just locking the front and rear? I thought there was another button to lock the center diff.

    • @luishernandez567
      @luishernandez567 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is but if it has the cdl button, some don’t have it but if you put it in 4lo it will turn on by itself

    • @LNDCRUZIN
      @LNDCRUZIN  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct you would still have to engage CDL button which all 80 series land cruisers came with one then lock the front and rear. The reason it has the center diff is because its All Time 4WD

    Hi!
    Here is another time capsule.
    I own a 1987 LN65 with only 9600 Miles.
    The Firetruck has been on standby in a small Austrian Firedepartment in a village close to Vienna. Perfectly maintained, no rust at all. Double Cab, Diesel, Power steering, 5gear manual, 100% original.,
    Who would know for how much I could sell it?
    Regards
    Franz

      That amount of low kilometres is very rare. In Australia, those trucks (we call them Hiluxes) would go for about $4,000 - $10,000 USD. That is only if its in decent condition, with a normal amount of kilometres (roughly between 180,000 to 350,000 would be a normal amount). Because your truck has so little kilometres, it is difficult to accurately value it. I'm guessing somewhere around $11,000 to $19,000 USD (I reckon 18k AUD or 14,000 US is a fair price). Hope that helps Franz

    Strange how there is overspray on the muffler, and very little photos of the undercarriage.
    I personally do not believe it is a 1000 mile cruiser.
    The quality of interior pictures compared to undercarriage shots doesn't seem right.
    Also noted a couple rust spots on the frame.
    A gorgeous 80 nonetheless.
    Cheers.

    Just having the locker switch doesn't mean it's triple locked,alot of folk bang it on to deceive folk when putting them up for sale,especially map imports
    If it's legit 1000 miles I'd be concerned internally on running gear sitting so long,30 year old tyres yadda yadda
    A well driven one and maintained would probs require less money spent on it and that's before you consider the buy in price difference
    Also beware of people changing out the odors to make them look to have done bugger all miles
    Neat looking 80 though

    KEEP IT REAL MOST 80 SERIES LAND CRUISERS ARE ROLLING PIECES OF JUNK AND PEOPLE ARE BUYING THEM AND DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE GETTING INTO. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY THE LAND CRUISER BEFORE AND AFTER THE 80 SERIES AT LEAST ONE IS OLDER AND SOMEBODY PUT SOME MONEY INTO IT AND THE OTHER IS NEWER AND YOU CAN FIND PARTS AND FIX IT MORE EASIER. DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST AND DON'T OVERPAY FOR THESE 80 SERIES LAND CRUISER.
