Nice! From what I can tell, this is definitely a needed accessory. I agree that the mirrors on the Z400 are one of the only weak points - they seem to need constant adjustment. I thought about adding rubber washers to them to help with the vibration, as they are quite buzzy at higher speeds, but maybe I should just get something like this. I am looking at bags from SW Motech right now - I would like to get good tank and tail bags as I dislike always wearing a backpack, and want to take overnight trips soon, so I will add these to my shopping list. I cannot lane filter in Kentucky, so I am less worried about clearance, but please let us know if they make it more difficult. Thank you for the review!
Did you tried a bar end mirror? I like the style but dont know about the visibility. Btw, nice channe, i have a ninja 250 that i use to daily and on the track, and want to go a little bigger, chossing about the z400 or the ninja 400. But anyway, great videos!
Wow, it looks like it should have been installed from the factory! Also, if you are afraid that they will unscrew from the vibrations, the threadlock from Locktide works wonders. Regarding the lane filtering, you can try to move them further away from you, so that the extension is oriented slightly towards the front of the motorcycle (not parallel to the handlebars) and maybe this will help you have a greater angle of visibility without to extend more than the handlebar ends. It might work, it might not.
I have a z400 and the mirrors are not great, but as a lady rider I don't need to make them wider. I have had my bike over 2 years and made some modificaions to make mine better for me, Mine is a performance model so comes with an akrapovic exchaust, and rear seat cover I have added Kawasaki Frame Sliders Oxford Heated grips ASV adjustable levers Bar risers Ohlins Rear Shock (set up for my weight) Custom Seat R&G Exhaust Hanger and Rear Foot Rest Blanking Plate to replace the rear foot pegs as I don't take pillion, R&G Frame plugs Michelin Road 6 tyres I love my bike and don't see me changing it any time soon, so it was worth the expense to make it better for me.
@Motography , I have the same bike as you, a '23, bought it new and still braking it in. Do you have any issue when changing from 5th to 6th? Like hard changes, popping back into 5th or horrible grinding noises accompanied by high revving?
Just bought same bike, love it. Keep making the videos

Great points all around. I might play with the positioning of it indeed, thanks!
Is Kawasaki Z 400 suitable for motorcycle touring? up to a maximum speed of 110 km/h?😊
Sorry for the late reply. Honestly I wouldn't say its amazing for touring as is, maybe with a custom seat :)

Mine is a performance model so comes with an akrapovic exchaust, and rear seat cover
I have added
Kawasaki Frame Sliders
Oxford Heated grips
ASV adjustable levers
Bar risers
Ohlins Rear Shock (set up for my weight)
Custom Seat
R&G Exhaust Hanger and Rear Foot Rest Blanking Plate to replace the rear foot pegs as I don't take pillion,
R&G Frame plugs
Michelin Road 6 tyres
I love my bike and don't see me changing it any time soon, so it was worth the expense to make it better for me.
Nice to hear and great mods! What custom seat did you do?
Loving the videos 🤘
Thanks :)
The mirros are really a big weak point with the Z400.
I'm getting bar end mirros for mine for next season.
Sounds like a wise investment!
Huh never had a problem with my z400 mirrors

No issues on my end
