Warsong Commander shouldn't really be a contender here. It was nerfed from giving all minions charge in Beta. They've never reverted any card to a state it was in the Beta or Alpha, since those can't be really considered "nerfs" more like behind-the-scenes adjustments before the game was released. The current version is the original version it was from launch until TGT.
I wanted to talk about warsong commander it was literally the whole point of the video :( I didn't want to just talk about beta cards since I've never once actually heard people talk about it so I did the next best thing
I think tome tampering nerf instead of soul barage happend because they knew that thay are going to add more "bonus when discarded" cards and wanted to keep in check "discard all hand" cards, becouse they will be problematic in general in the future.
Wasn’t odd demon hunter pretty strong at different times in wild? I remember hitting legend with it, or was it more of a tier 3 deck that I got lucky with?
Snowfall is pretty meh without the buff. Could just be 5 mana 3/3 in a vacuum. But noooo Shudderwock has to exist and limit card design so we get these cool battlecry cards like the murlocs that can't be used because of it.
Hey, really enjoyed the video. As a new player its interesting to see old cards and I wanted to suggest adding the unnerfed version of the card to better understand the video. You could add red marks on the new card to show the changes from the old card. Keep the great content.
It feels like blizzard just tries to create decks for each expansion instead of creating support for existing archetypes now a-days. What ends up happening every time is the devs freak out when there’s an “unexpected interaction” with an existing card and the game breaks. If they are always going with this “new expansion archetypes” system, they’re always going to be ignoring the problems in the design phase.
Yes, Illucia needed to be nerfed, but only the aggro potential in denying your opponent the ability to play cards. So if it swapped only until the end of your turn, it wouldn't be broken. It would be a good anti-combo card, but at 3 mana, as you said, it would be strong but not broken.
I posted on the Hearthstone forum yesterday regarding the missed opportunities of their patch releases. We have so many cards that just sit there. Why give me a Hunter legendary from Whizbang that's unplayable beyond gold? Make your cards playable.... 3 changes in a patch is just...
they’ve nerfed around ice block so much that mage would be genuine ass if ice block was nerfed by now (with no reverts which we can expect bc blizzard). maybe hero power mage lives, but that deck lowk relies on ice block more than anything else to keep opponent hostage lol it just saves you like 3-5 card slots you’d have to spend on survivability otherwise
The thing about Ice Block is that it simply polarizes matchups. Meaning that it either shuts you down or it does nothing and you die anyway. Because of its existence, the class is basically forced to use it due to it affecting the design of the class for such a long time. They would need a lot of buffs to previous cards and even new cards to help them stabilize in Wild. I'm surprised we haven't gotten freeze sorc yet. The arcane one is pretty strong but freeze would basically help them create new decks. Fire is the most dangerous one due to Ignite being a thing.
I mean cariel is not even that good against other late games decks since uther is the most reliable wincon, but having it to 7 would still be cool against aggros if you still didn't win by turn 7 or against some burn decks like mage or druid even if they have the drink.
@@FlareIsGone And don't get me wrong is not that good of a wincon like raza in priest or shudder in shaman but it's the best one that paladin have. Shiervallah rn is actually impossible to pull off.
