fire enrage warrior was legit my favorite deck in standard from nathria to titans. I loved the fact that this deck which could get insane burst damage through anima extractor buffing a wretch ALSO had the ability to aggro people down. It created this mini game at the start of every match where you had to figure out whether you were more likely to win the game on turn 6 or turn 15.
I really liked Enrage Warrior, as it was my loaner deck when I returned to hearthstone before Festival, so Jam session was a really welcome addition. I just like the different mechanics with rezzing Thore'belore, and whirlwind effects from the 1/3. Handbuff is my favorite mechanic, so it was right up my alley.
I remember the time I was against paladin, they literally were at 1 health, but then they played deputization aura + gnomelia and healed to full. One of the biggest bullshit moments I ever had in the game
I don't think Blizzard wants to design for class-mains, and I'm not convinced they should. I'm curious what percent of players focus on one class far more than the others (I'm guessing usually Priest or Warrior). I have classes I play more or less than others, but I generally just gravitate towards whatever I think is interesting in the current meta. I appreciate when Blizzard switches up the kind of decks a class plays because I think it's interesting to experiment with class mechanics in different contexts. Obviously, those don't always work out, and I get that it sucks to have an expansion whiff on making your fav class better. But like, how many games of Control Warrior can one person play? How is that still interesting when it's literally been centered around the same 3 or 4 cards for a decade? I imagine Blizzard would say that class-mains don't align with their design philosophy which seems to value variety, but more importantly, it runs counter to their economic incentives. It's the same reason they intentionally neglect Wild. They make money when people buy the new cards. People who only play one class won't spend as much money as people who play everything. So why would they want to encourage that?
Your point on the warrior slide for blizzard printing archetypes within classes that no one wants to play, is sort of linked with some of their design philosophies shifting from class identities that they outlined a while back. There are exceptions, of course, but a lot of times when a deck is tier 1 for a class, and it's for the reason that a weakness of the class is removed or it's a play pattern that's very different than what the class is known for, there's a lot of outrage.
44:10 while I get the idea I like that there are some niche strategies even if the majority of the class's playerbase doesn't necessarily like them : it's nice to see a class you're not the most interested in have a chool archetype that makes you play it, that goes out of the class usual style + there are enough cards printed every set to support a couple archetypes in a class in my opinion
I once did a super Disgusting opening thanks to Gibberling: I had gibberling, coin, DOUBLE mana bloom and arbor up. On turn 1 I had a full buffed board. I believe I still have a replay somewhere
It actually used to be ONLY Arms Dealer but for pirates, but then Blizzard buffed it b/c Pirate Rogue was doing trash in Standard. Naturally, it did jack-all in Standard, but in Wild it made Pirate decks even more stronger than they already were.
2:30 I feel like the curve play of hawkstrider rancher -> nerubar swarmguard seemed like they made those cards for each other. Was a pretty nutty payoff for sticking rancher

Enrage warrior and lion hunter are some of the most boring decks ever, but also some of the best decks ever for those classes :)
