Best team ever. When I was a child, I watched football with my dad. I didnt know anything but I naturally fell in love with this team. They’re so humble, hard-working. This WC Champion is my best memory in 2014. Truly miss them!

This is one of the most beautiful summers of my life. I passed the entrance exam for my dream high school, and 2 days after that Germany became the World Champion. I remember studying all night from 9pm til 2am and trying to stay awake waiting for a World Cup match that began at 3am, then went to bed at 5am only to wake up at 7 to go to school 😂 I’d trade anything to go back to those days…

By the way they played, the 2010 WC was better. 2014 is overshined by the title and the 7:1, but it was not that Germany played really great football for the whole tournament.
The game against Algeria was actually quite a shame and without Neuer they would have blown us out of the stadium.
It was an amazing tournament and i'm happy to look back at it every now and then, but too many people overhype the quality of the games, because of the two factors i mention above.
The team was legendary and the mentality of the key-players was really great, but i personally liked the 2010-WC way better in terms of how they played the game.
It's similar to the 1972 Euro and the 1974-WC win. When you talk about the prime of the Beckenbauer-Germany, everyone mentions 1974, but they played by far their best football in 1972... and in 1974 Germany wasn't the best team in the world to be fair, but it was the Netherlands.

i remember this team, they were just amazing. i was 14 at the time, didn't care a lot about football but watched the games on tv because my father was a fan. i remember all the players, gotze, ozil, neuer, kroos, klose, muller, kedhira, schrulle, shweinsteiger, ecc muller and shweisteiger made an impression on me, i really liked them

Argentina was well qualified to win, but in reality Germany was a better team in the tournament and Argentina had more chances in the final, but they missed the opportunity and so was Germany.
I think Germany deserved to be the 2014 World Cup champion and was the best team since West Germany in 1990.

For example in 2006, even with Ronaldo, kaka, ronaldinho they lost against France 0-1, in 2010 Holland 1-2, especially Germany in your home country 1-7 shameful to remember, against Belgium 1-2 two years ago. In 2010 portugal brazil 0-0, in 2018 you draw with Switzerland 1-1.

Schurrle was amazing throughout the tournament,be it the algeria goal where our team almost was getting knocked out,the 7th goal of semi final and the amazing assist in the final.... Pity he retired so soon.

They say that Germany's 2nd round game against Algeria was unconvincing when going on to win the tournament. France looked unconvincing against Paraguay in 1998 2nd round. Brazil looked unconvincing against Belgium in 2002 2nd round. Italy were lucky against Australia in 2006 then again in Euro 2021 against Austria 2nd round. Greece were lucky against Czech Republic in semis in Euro 2004. Portugal were lucky to get out of group stage In Euro 2016. You need a little bit luck to win a tournament I guess

I lived in Los Angeles at the time. My parter at work was Brazilian so the semi that Tuesday at work was awkward as you can imagine. The next day I booked flights to Berlin. My wife and I left LA Friday, arrived in Germany Saturday and watched the final in Berlin Sunday with some friends who had rented a cinema. That night in Berlin was downright madness. Wahnsinn. I will never forget this moment in life. Total Glück.
