Well, in my ~1200 hours, I've gotten my hand built up to start an F-16 in 4 minutes and an A-10C in 6-7 minutes. And when you're in that moment filling your head with a conversation with a friend about a flight, time flies by very quickly, and I barely feel those few minutes.

It's not really a widespread thing. It was done for the A-10CII because of blue on blue during OIF. The F-16C blk 50 could have it for identifying other aircraft but without awacs it's pointless.
Shame there's no automatic levelling for the A-10C, I enjoy that feature in sim. Also my favourite loadout for the A-10C is 4x GBU-38s, 3x Mav Ds on left wing and 1x Mav G on right, 1x GBU-12 and 4x AIM-9Ms
The HMD IFF is something I never knew I needed. Especially with headtracking, it gets real immersive. I am looking forward to this potentially getting distributed to more airframes.
i dont understand why the f16-c does not have IFF in HMD , nor being able to see locked targets through HMD when looking out the cockpit. it mindboogles me.

I killed a nuke while he was in the airfield, in sun city map. don't add new tech that you can't handle or balance, you will not save or improve the game by adding new stuff, but you can save the game by listening to your community and fix the issues.
Ground RB airfrields should have anti-ordnance systems like CIWS or IRON DOME. You should be safe from SPAA above and near your airfield. Worrying about planes being able to airspawn camp you is bad enough since base SPAA does nothing most of the time unless YOURE the one invading it.
I got the tram to grind sim fir the F14 event. Transtioned away from base bonmbing to RB again. Im gonna come back to sim now that i have the A10C. (I love lawn mowing so much dude)
There's currently no target detection and symbol though. There is no AWACS and ground based Air Search Radar feeding data to the JHMCS in the A-10C, if there were, the A-10C would see a symbol on every detected enemy aircraft as well as any listed ground target by any other A-10C. The JHMCS helmet is a friggin ESP. Retrofitted jets like the F-16C, F-15C, F/A-18C and others would have this actual real life ESP system too. None of this matters in Arcade or Air Realistic where there are 3rd person and tags on everything but in Sim, it will be a system unlike anything this game has seen before. Whatever argument anyone has ever made about any weapons system being game breaking had no clue datalinked JHMCS would be a thing. Honestly I didn't think Gaijin would impliment it and here we are, one hell of a surprise and everyone is overlooking it! JHMCS doesn't work with enemy ground targets unless they're added to the system datalink by someone who's spotted them and it remains to be seen if NPC's will tag targets for us. This is going to put a HUGE emphasis on AWACS, the ability to look down at the ground and detect low flying jets is going to make it a priority to defend and the ground based radar limit of altitude it can detect will make terrain masking even more critical than it was when multipathing was so grossly exaggerated. When this system is fully implimented it will be extremely powerful. Neither Russia nor China have such an integrated system. RedFor will have to prioritize deleting AWACS and terrain masking most of the time to avoid radar or they'll be in a world of hurt. Gonna need much bigger maps, 400x or 600x for Sim. Given the potency of this system, I see why they're testing it with the slowest and least capable jet the US has. The next step is either to test the half enabled system on a fighter or add the radar and datalink and test the fully unlocked system on the A-10C. It's going to be an interesting holiday season update!

if only they brought back matchmaking for GSB, they did it for a little bit and it was absolutely amazing. instantly get matches without waiting, removed it just cause it was a test and im surprised they never reimplemented it.
When i use my A-10A in sim and put my gun sight to ground attack mode it always glitches out and spasms moving from the correct position to the left bottom of the hud, is there any way to fix this or do i just have to deal with?
there is a small glitch if you remove the lasers guided missiles where the pod stays on, it'll go away if you restart the game tho (don't tell gaijin lol)
Its split into low (1 - 8 BR) and high tier (8 - 13 BR) with the BRs changing every day. So one day the max BR is 9.7 and the next it will the top tier. There is a website which tells you what BR is when.

hey man, u can use the 6x mavs + targetting pod without sweat. all you have to do is make sure your USA lineup is switched to something that doesnt have the a10c on it before you log off. if you can remember to do that every time, it never detects and erases your loadouts. also make sure you build your a10c specific lineup, and never get into a situation where you have to choose a crew for the a10c. this also triggers the check.
On the topic of rants, as a red team player, allow me to rant asweel Top tier GSB is fucked, to the point where the pantsir feel underpowered at times. Between the horde of blue team cas (F16's M2k's Grippen's Harrier's and the FnF helis) and the lackluster red team air in pretty much everything (worse missiles, flight performance and sensors/optics) blue team just steamrolls the air and then groundpounds virtually unoposed. Pantsir is the only thing that can kinda hold them back, but if its just a singular one it doesnt stand a chance. Theres a reason the qeue's are long, nobody wants to play red team, often times youll see 7+ people on blue team waiting for a game but red team only has 1-2 people in qeue. But with all that it still isnt the worst GSB bracket, fucking 8_2 and 8_2_2 can go burn in hell, i fucking refuse to play those as red team
Same thing with top tier air sim, heaven forbid you went down the fulcrum line before the flanker line because the only way you’re going to beat anything with an aim-120 is by having many more missiles to spam, or getting close for IRST heatseekers, which is pretty difficult in the current meta The team issues you talked about also plagues top tier sim, where almost no one wants to play redfor

I don't know why, but this reminds me of Battlefield 4 when I used the A10

When you equip 6 mavericks, equip any laser guided ordnance after and it forces the pod on.

1:24 You cant carry 6x mav D with TGP, only 1 Mav G and 3D.
It is possible to carry 6 mav and TGP but it is a bug and is why he refuses to do so
