Good straight foward review, i like how you described exactly how the pan selector splits it for both channels and what the colour and high low button does. I recently purchased this amp and must say i like it with my acoustics but playing my 69 strat on here with just the amp effects and my jb pick ups it sounds better then a fender twin for a full clean sound with reverb the 60lbs less weight adds to it as well, it has high mids and treble for my acoustics with pick ups built in but you should do a video with an external mic in front of a standard dreadnought acoust Its a world of difference in sound.
Very nice review, but I wish it was recorded using regular acoustic guitar with a sound hole. Preferably standard design like dreadnaught. Just a though.
Additional note: the effects cannot be combined. Meaning that if you select the chorus fx, you cannot have the reverb. Therefore, it means that if you sing, you have to concede the reverb from the voice if you want to add chorus for the guitar. This is really disappointing that each channel can't manage the effect independantly while much cheaper amps can. I think that the reviewer should have highlighted this fact.
For crying out loud - if you are going to review a sound system, do it with enough volume so I can hear what you are saying. I have the volume on my computer at maximum and I can't make out what you are saying.
very over rated if you ask me.. the EQ wasn't very effective. Better going through a PA with a good DI with EQ this is in lieu of using a PA live i assume..? If you are buying the amp to use as a stage monitor i think it is way too expensive and unneccesary in most cases. any good sound system with monitors should be enough.

wow! this is the first review you have done that is amazingly poor quality. I KNOW these AER amps are top of the line amps. you have always taken the time to make sure your videos sonically shine, this is truly awful. could be the "wanna be" guitar you are playing.

Please review the amp with a traditional acoustic guitar such as OM Martin acoustic guitar or equivalent.
These amps are built to help create a natural acoustic guitar sound on stage. Playing through them with an egg cutter kind of defeats that purpose.

That might be where the Fishman Loudbox shines. Though at half the weight, the AER is appealing

How would an electric guitar sound through this thing?
It does well, I used a Straw with no pedals. But usually use a Lowden Steel string acoustic and it's great.
Is it also a good amp for singing??
Hi Jasper, it is great for singing! Also for bowed instruments, archtop guitars etc.
