woaw, what a beautiful sound on rachel's lullaby... now I get how plugging in your acoustic can enhance your playing (inspiring and making you play differently from pure acoustic) 🙏
Unusual to see him as a salesman which is what he's doing here. Nothing wrong with that and no doubt this a great amp. I have the compact 60/2 and it's indeed very good. As to Tommy, he is my guitar hero and I'll see him in concert in germany in march. Can't wait!
Tommy! One of the best on the planet :) I want 2 of these for stereo...the amp. There is only 1 Tommy. He sands that patch on his guitar to get the brush sound. So cool.
The Maton pickup is incredible... he has a feedback buster in his guitar but you still hear his voice processed by the Amp when he speaks the Initiation Delay Preset.... GREAT!
@@goswo I think it would work well for any instrument that you want a transparent, clean, natural tone. You could probably run a jazz guitar through it, maybe a 335. But I would use this ideally for acoustic instruments, like acoustic guitar, mandolin, ukulele etc.
Hi guys. I'd love some help, and feel this will be a useful question for many people. I purchased a Compact 60 mobile, i travel in a van, and find it hard to get enough time at plug sockets to recharge the battery. Can i buy a 12v converter for my van to charge while i drive? If yes . . . what do you recommend? The internet has very confusing responses for an electrical newbie like me.
Forest Flanigan thanks. Sound advice. Just discovered I can buy a 12V converter that has 300w of output. Plenty to charge my amp on the long drives. Will certainly try to check any solar options also. Have a great day.
I would like to understand why 2 cables come out of the amplifier. Maybe one comes out of the DI? in this case we are not hearing how the AER behaves with its 8 "Woofer. sorry english but use google translated.
Yes, they did DI out from amp for sure. You can hear here more realistic how AER amp sounds like, no DI out. And found out a lot more about Tommy and his sound... th-cam.com/video/0vkwZmOqGg0/w-d-xo.html
I bought one 10 years ago when they were around $1300 new (Canadian). I can probably actually make money on it. A little ridiculous, but the amp is great, durable, and you wouldn't believe the amount of volume out of a tiny little amp.
I admire his music so much. Tommy is definitely one of my favorite guitarists of all time

They don't get better than superhuman Tommy - love ya Tommy - you are an inspiration

Johannes Napp That Maton has a condenser microphone built in to its pickup system hence the voice being picked up
Love this amp!
Jon MacLennan do you think it would work well with passive pick ups?

Great perform. i love the sound of the speaker!
God, he is a great guitarist, and my guess a great human being as well.
I'll get to see him for the second time this month!
Chili PumpTheFunk saw Tommy last month in Brisbane,
Tommy is the best
No argument here. Monster player. Love this guy.
AER & C.G.P = Heaven
What is C.G.P stand for ? Thanks
On Rachel's lullaby, was he using the long reverb or the short reverb? Thanks for posting this video. I enjoyed it very much.
It looks like he had the Effect knob in position 1, short reverb
Does Tommy use s the Compact 60 also for singing?
Whats the name of the Song @ 4:01 with the Echo? I'd like to purchase. Thanks.
Initiation
@@Tesla_Motors Thanks. Brilliant use of delay. He is such a phenomenal player ( and a nice guy too ).
Did you drill the holes in the feedback plug yourself and why?
i would love to see Tommy demo the Acus street amp
I miss alot in this video!, wat reverb setting does he use normaly, what does he use in a ballad. I hoped he would show it in this video.
Love to know what it sounds like using an sdc and no pickup...
Who doesn't like this guy?
Very cool little amp sounds nice ***** fat like
;~) Tommy has a small fan club in
Chandler's Ford , England
What strings come with this? I have this amp, and I loved the strings, but Idk what kind they were.
He uses martin strings for the most part and daddario strings

Your looking for an inverter. Go to a solar supply store or an RV supply store and they will hook you up

Is that a pickup in sound hole?
Noup, just a cover to avoid feedback
guitar god tommy

fuckin awesome.
Nice
name of first song please?
Now if AER can just ship your hands with the amp...;-D
It’s a shame that there is no Bluetooth. The AER COMPACT. 4 has Bluetooth with adapter
Perfect for a street musician...too bad these are so bloody expensive!
They are expensive. I made the plunge a decade ago or so. It's been a great, and very solid amp for many years and resale value is great.
Guitar brand and type please?
jimbroable Maton EBG808 TE Custom
Maton EG808TE
far from ebg808te.. he's playing a EBG808 TE Personal custom shop model, costs x4 the production model, and sounds x4 better
too
$1750 Canadian................OUT OF YOUR MINDS.................! Wow !
Davebow Hol worth every penny if you play professionally.

this sound is 90 percent his fingers
Goes to show you don't need all the bells and whistles
Saw him give a masterclass in Sydney today... just a Boss tuner between his guitar and that amp. Sounded great.
