    I'm not judging but he had a lot of his own hair. I personally would not have a system if I had that much hair. If they cut his own hair short it would have looked fuller too.
    I've also seen several others do the system keeping their own hairline. However, you have to have a decent hairline to do this. Thanks, great video!

      At his point its similar to mine, lightly adding fibers truly fully conceals and its undetectable, but maybe down the road get a hairline transplant perhaps 2 within 2 years and add the system it does look super natural

    I've been using fibers for the past 2 years. Enjoying it, I think I perhaps have one more year of fibers ahead of me, then I will have to consider either a system or buzzed head. At this moment I do have a tough time with the idea of glueing/taping fake hair to my head, for some reason applying a powder to what I have already is an easier concept to come to terms with, but I must admit that watching your videos is kind of normalising this a lot more for me, so much so that I think in time It may become something I could consider. Keep doing what you're doing, it's important to make this kind of stuff "OK" for guys. Balding isn't for everyone, it's great that we have non evasive options out there now.

      I'd definitely also recommend a hair system. I did the same thing; started out with the fibers, even tried constructing a hairline with it on a buzzcut - and tried the full on shaved head. It was definitely a bit of a decision to make - I was one of those guys that "was never gonna get a toupee!" but... Here I am, and I am so much happier with it.
      Plus, it's not permanent at all, you could make the initial investment as a try out, see if it's for you, and if not you can shave your head and take it from scratch

    So here is my issue with this one, it does look incredible, my issue is if this guy got the same exact hair hair cut and style with his own hair, he would have practically achieved a near identical result considering how much of his own hair he still had on top. Looks great no doubt but a hair System in this case just seemed unnecessary is all

    • @JakeKent
      @JakeKent  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I doubt he could have achieved the volume, but I agree. Perhaps may have not be 100% needed. Ultimately it is his choice though, and who are we to argue with that?

    • @silveribis55
      @silveribis55 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree with Colton here...I think if you're going bald with that much hair, or showing thinning, and this is important to you, and you fully confident about doing a hair system, then get it in early before it all goes! Cos then it's like oh yeah just going with a fresh style... And not rocking shaven head for 5 years, then everyone sees you have suddenly decided to grow out all your hair and look a bit of a tramp for about 6 weeks just to give the salon some side to work with, then poof you're all nice full hair....they all gonna know! And if you were hoping for a very little fuss transition, that ain't happening like that lol. For me, I'm happy shaven! And been doing it for ages, just wanna give a system a go for a while one day, just to see. So I'd be open and honest about my head, I'd have to be...

    I would like to try this, I have transplants on the front area but I shave it so I can wear a poly system. I will have to grow out the hair line area . I will use an old system and cut it to fit behind the transplant hairs

  • @Lamiaromain
    @Lamiaromain 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I purchased a thin skin poly v looped unit, cut and fit myself, I’m not a hair stylist but having started losing my hair in my early 20’s have been cutting what I had due to hiding my hair loss and avoiding the barbers, so was comfortable with scissors, the results are amazing and have restored confidence also the mrs loves it, so far the unit is in great shape 2 months on, I wear it exposed hairline but discreet style not pompadour, just neat, and have had not a single person notice that it is anything other than my own hair, which it has now become. Maintenance- conditioner wash about every 3 days, I remove every 7 days to clean, shave and retape/glue (tape at back & sides, glue at front) daily Argan/coconut oil to restore shine and then a bit of styling paste, takes no effort the hardest part is the removal and refit but have now sussed it and takes a little over an hour. I wish I heard about this 10 years ago the amount of time and money I wasted on regaine, finasteride, powders and sprays is ridiculous for really no results, this has been instant and in a way life changing, so basically if you are thinking about it do your research find the right style and go from there, it is a commitment but in my situation is actually less hassle👍

    • @Lamiaromain
      @Lamiaromain 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      D T I only wear it exposed and is perfectly manageable, once a week I remove and refit due to regrowth loosening up the tape, not enough for it to fly away in the wind but noticeable to me, maintenance wise maybe 1 hour a week possibly more when trimming my bio hair, considering my previous routine I spend far less time managing now and get consistently the same results. At first I thought that everyone would be looking at it and would know that I’m wearing a piece but no, nothing, I have blended in, I work in a particularly hot environment and even when sweating profusely it doesn’t budge. I couldn’t comment on how it reacts to say a gym session or a run, but between work and the kids though it has held up exceptionally.

    • @Lamiaromain

      D T no problem, it’s true, at first you’re buzzing because you got hair again, but then you go out and are paranoid that everyone is looking at it, but that soon passes when you realise no one is looking, and if they do look it isn’t because they’re suspicious😉in my personal experience I’d say the first week was the hardest mentally to adapt and overcome that paranoia but it settles and I started enjoying having hair again, I honestly have no regrets👍

    • @Lamiaromain
      @Lamiaromain 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gottmituns6628 fading happens around the month mark, i use an off the shelf dye, typically loreal or the like, i dye my bio hair the recommended time but the unit itself dye on for a minute or so, the uptake of colour is very different to bio hair so any longer can result in a much darker tone, this extends the life of the unit significantly, i'd say 3-4 months is the typical lifespan before density and quality start to deteriorate depending on care possibly even longer👍

      You would have to shave the area where you would want to attach your hair system. The glue or adhesive tape being used would not stick to your existing hair.
      Best of luck to you if you're struggling with hair loss and it makes you unhappy, this I so worth it. Takes a bit of time to get used to and you'll learn from your mistakes (especially if you do it yourself) but you'll become a pro in no time. I've found a way to master lining up the system properly.

      Richard B thank you ... yes i am struggeling a lot and that‘s why im considering it. How often do I have to shave the remaining hair on my head ? I still have a full head of hair just receded hairline and temples and very thinned out hair but it covers a lot

    • @richardb607
      @richardb607 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kuhjak Man you can try coloured sprays or fibres until it really starts to bother you.
      Otherwise, you would need to shave your head every time you do the removal and reapplying. For me, usually once every 2 to 3 weeks. After doing it a few times, it becomes very routine. Curtis with HairByMHE has some very good videos of making a template and how to shave your head properly. I can guarantee you that it’s going to freak you out the first time you shave your head. You’ll probably ask yourself, what did I just do? Maybe even cry to be honest. But then once you see that full head of hair securely glued down to your scalp, it’ll all be worth it. I first use a trimmer (Phillips One Blade - small and easy to control) to shave my head. Then I go over that trimmed out area with a regular razor and shaving cream to make it nice and smooth. Make sure to have a really clean scalp and apply a scalp protector before applying the glue or tape.
      My suggestion would be to get all your supplies ahead of time. Curtis at HairByMHE has starter kits that come with absolutely everything you need when just starting out which I really recommend and also at very reasonable prices). He also sells the hair units so you can get it all in one convenient place.
      Both Jake and Curtis have extremely helpful videos to guide you through this journey. They both helped me more than they realize and I’m forever grateful to both of them.

    well I was there at HEYDECKE. I mean the studio which did this transformation in Hamburg/ Germany...I started just this year in May. I feel real good because it looks real natural. I saw some other guys and depending on the stylist and on the customers style whish it can also look very unreal from time to time. That is why I chose the unexposed hairline. 👍

      Hey Jake.
      We all like to improve ourselves, right?
      So. Here is my proposal just for you.. Noticed you looked much more natural before. So...my suggestion: Use Hair Wax or Pomade. Both using very little hold to keep it shiny and ...natural. As said . Reason I say this:
      It is from am outside view and nowadays it looks more like a toupet. Maybe you liike to try it out. Just my thought of trying to improve😘
      No blowdryer required . *EVER*

    what was this guy thinking, he has a ton of hair left, he is way off needing a hair system.

  • @kramer1372
    @kramer1372 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    why in the world would that guy get a system?!?!!?!

  • @macvena
    @macvena 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem is that most guys get a piece that is way too perfect. The ones I think look best aren't super thick, the hairline is irregular in hair density and not a perfect line from left to right. They aren't very long either. How many guys over 30 have long hair like a print model, dangling down past their eyebrows?
    Having dull looking natural hair, and flawlessly thick, shiny, long haired piece on top is more noticeable. Some of the systems today are quite good, and more reasonably priced than they once were. Get one and work with a talented stylist.

    It is super expensive though. I'm from Germany and I've heard about their prices. It's almost in the same league as CNC hair systems.

    • @depecheden
      @depecheden 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a Whatsapp Call from them. It´s not so that expensive if you get 2 or more hair systems and make everything else on your own. This is a great result, but for honest, he is not the typical guy who wears a hair system because he has hairs in front left. BTW Jake thanks for your content greetings from old Europe ;)

      Hey
      At Heydecke 2 hairsystems are 1000 euros +200 euros for cutting/installing
      And they teach you the maintenance as well

      No, you are wrong, it's a simple French or swiss lace behind his original hairline. Which u can get a good quality one for like $220 or cheaper from many companies. $90 directly from a Chinese manufacturer.

    I also have a good hairline but It's very thin behind the hairline compared to that guy in the vid, I consider clip on systems that clip in right behind the hairline because I saw a few great results like that from India, do you think clip in systems are reasonable option for people who still have a decent frontal hairline?

  • @gwendolynlarue4357
    @gwendolynlarue4357 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Here's a tid bit, you mentioned lace front. Google lace front wings (black women). Anyway, get a lace front hear system, pull the hairs backwards away from your face, get some tweezers, create baby hairs, but instead of gluing them down to your forehead, temple etc. Let the baby hair you created sit for a minute. Pluck lightly until you achieve a realistic scalp line. Then Brush the baby hairs backwards as well. This should give the same results as guy in the video .

    This is ridiculous. This man still, has hair! He needs a hair system like hollyweird needs another closeted gay actor! People, this isn't an easy road. Hair systems take a tremendous amount of work and money. No, one and I literally mean no one, who isn't at least as bald as Jake, should even consider it!

  • @joshgates2671

    Tried that with my fue hairs in front. But got wack results from fue. Scammer docs that say one time and say one more and try to run your wallet dry. Just going to wait till they have a better transplant method or new option for growth for hairline, I suppose. So latest news is, this guy told me of a poly hair system that was .03 but strong like a .05 or .06, but he cashed out for it from perma plus hair systems, made by Ellen willie, made in USA Might have to see if Lavivid can produce something like this. Would be great with lace in the middle hair system. They might have to use swiss tho, if French is too thick for them to merge with the .03 And also since u wear tape in front, all the more real and less thickness to worry about in front, meaning better hairline bonus.

    not so impressed..... he used his actual own front hairline..very few people go bald in that way..... so it was a bit of a freak accident

  • @markie74656
    @markie74656 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Woah...wait a minute! This is VERY misleading! This isn't the system's hairline, this is his own hairline and his hair is incorporated into the system..which is behind his hairline. You can't call this a hair system hairline when it's not. That being said, I recently found a company that does absolutely AMAZING front hairlines on actual systems...and they do it by a tried and true method that Afro-american women have been doing for decades....tweezing. Look up Dermatex Hair on TH-cam and watch a couple of their videos and you'll see the most amazing hairlines. I'm a hairstylist myself and have worked in film, theatre, fashion, and have ventilated wigs. An amazing hairline is all in the technique of ventilating. However, these Chinese companies that mass produce still haven't gotten it right when it comes to the hairline..no matter how "natural" or "graduated" they say it is. Anyone can have a phenomenal hairline by just tweezing it and creating a more graduated look, it just takes a bit of time.. and you can TH-cam videos on how to do it. It's a technique I've done for years when working with wigs and hair pieces. It really is a great technique. That being said, if you're going to try it, I suggest buying a cheap lace wig from an African-american store, you can get some for $30, and practice on that so you can get a feel for it and then do it on your system.

    Sure, the more GOOD hair you have... the better the results. If you have a solid hairline, and just have crown balding... you can use just a "topper", and the results are flawless. But I will gather that MOST of us have no front hairlines... and serious temple recession... that with the prevelence of DUPA... makes it much harder.

    Why in hell would u shave your FULL HEAD of nice biological HAIR so that u can glue fake hair to your scalp that will loosen when sweating, will loosen with humidity, will loosen when in the water, that needs to be maintained daily, and that is expensive. Im not judging ANYONE who wears a hair piece; if it makes u fell better about yourself, than Im genuinely happy for you, but it baffles me why this young man would shave his real hair so that he can clue fake hair to his scalp. I don't get it.
