Nice to see another barber doing these videos and talking about this subject. Been watching Dan Gregory's series which are brilliant but can never have too much on this subject. Thanks
My balding hairline couldn’t be saved or prevented anymore, so I’ve just got a hair transplant one week ago. Strangest and most difficult step to take as a 29 year old who’s afraid of balding. Luckily, it felt like a huge relief. Lots of guys asking me how it went and are really interested in the process, saying they’ve been thinking of hairtransplants/preventing hairloss for years, but never talked with anyone about it. I think it’s awesome that men are starting to open up more about this sensitive topic. It’s something we can really support each other with
Did you go turkey? I’m a bit older (early 30’s) and my hairline is deffo creeping back. It ain’t terrible tbh but I’ve always had a slightly larger forehead so the bit that has gone back looks worse than it would. I deffo will get it done at some point. Just want the whole thing brought down an inch or so. How many grafts did you have? Luckily I can’t see any thinning on top. Defo dodged a bullet (touch wood) since both granddads and my dad lost their hair before my age.
@@BeforeThisNovember Fortunately, a clinic came to my village in the Netherlands last year, and they brought doctors from clinics in Turkey over here, which allowed me to get treated conveniently close to home, while at the same time keeping costs incredibly accessible. The regulations and oversight from my own country gave me the confidence that the treatment would be conducted properly, and indeed, it was! The gave me 4800 grafts
I always feel for my clients who are thinning so young... its a huge kick to the confidence. I know men who have had hair transplants at 23. You have great people skills btw.
The more I watch these videos, the more I realise Sam is just a nice guy. So lovely to see wholesome interactions between men when getting a trim! Bonus is the cut looks fresh too!
Nice trim Sam the texture looked superb. Hair loss is a big topic and can knock confidence so much it affects your mental health or worse. Transplants and systems are beginning to be the norm now
Great episode on such a sensible topic. I've been on medications for the past three years and have massively seen the benefits of that. I wish I was based in the UK to come and talk through this.
Are you and the Regal Gentleman by chance in coordination at all with this series? I remember they started doing "Talking hairloss" in collaboration with Manual a year or so back. Obviously the same sponsor so maybe it's named by the company?
this guy doesnt have a receeding hairline, it's just a maturing hairline. no indication that this guy is going bald anytime soon, that looks like a perfectly natural hairline
@@campersruincod6134 why would I be coping about someone else's hair line? It's a natural mature hairline anyway. Most hairlines are not a straight line lol
Good cut but wouldn’t say dude is balding. Has a full head of hair and is just a Norwood 1. Would be really interested to see you cut hair for people who have to resort to combovers and or have super thin hair on top.
Hey Sam, I've got a double crown / cowlick which barbers and hair dresses really struggle with, at least in huddersfield they do! any recommendations on what I should ask for? I really enjoy the slick back hair style but it seems impossible with incredibly straight , soft hair that cowlicks from back to front!
I so need this. I’m 33 and receding badly, my current barber struggles with covering it. Please can I book in with you? I’m at the point where I’ve grown my hair for 6 months just to hide it but then it looks too heavy and flat, like I can’t style it.
mate, apart from hiding it, it makes sense to do something to stop the recession or even to regrow some of the hair back. Finasteride/Dutasteride + Minoxidil is the way to go. Not medical advice of course. Cheers!
Not only men. The women in my family suffer from hairloss too unfortunately. One of nature's meanest tricks. Excellent job. The shorter hair really works with his features.
The perfect hair for receding is a bald one end of 😂, dont wait to long like me get it off and embrace it. I even had a hair transplant which are rubbish also, it will never be thick again and always thin i now love having a bald head!!.
I've been watching Dan Gregory "The Regal Gentleman" for the last couple of years now and I'm a firm believer in supporting men through hair loss and changing styles to suit their situations. My question is has the baton been passed on, I'm not sure I agree with the word for word likeness in your video. I'm all for positivity and supporting people, but be original, be you. Dan has worked so hard to not only bring this issue to the forefront but to hone his craft and create a recognised format and brand. It would be a complete disservice not only to Dan but to yourself if it's just copy and paste method. Whether that's something manual has purposely scripted or you've simply sort inspiration from Dan I still feel it would be beneficial to reword and reformat. Thanks and good luck in your future endeavours l.
Hi what about saw you just wondering would you like to cut my I am 51 year old I have a big bed and long hair Witcher dog control I've got quite a lot of grey hair as well in my bed and on my head you are in Manchester
yea no I couldn't get that lol for a receding hairline he still has insanely good hair overall on top. mine wouldn't even go that long over the receding corners. impossible to hide anything. it's not doable for the most with an actually receding widow peaks
As a barber myself, you inspire the trade to be better. Only problem with getting a haircut from you is you would ruin other haircuts for the rest of someone’s life 😂
The guy is clearly a little light in the corners and by no means is that an issue. This video would have been discussed before it was posted I’d assume. The fella may have been a bit self conscious about it and Sam has just helped with that, no need to somehow make this a negative. Well done Sam on the cut and keep up the positive content it’s a problem for lots of people. 👍🏼
Absolutely not the best cut for a receding hairline. This may look good if you are a teenager or in your early twenties but it will look lame and off if you are 30+ .

Thoroughly enjoy Dans series. Looking forward to this one
@swadd1er me too 😃
Such a perfect trim for him honestly, looks like a new guy. Plus with his thickness his hair will be fine for another 10 years I think.
I agree totally. When he’s 27-30 he could jump on Fin & Min to hold it back too. Or just get a front hair piece and blend it into his bio hair
@@Fd20y Just get a transplant, the hair pieces sound like such a pain in all honesty

Honestly I didn’t expect his hair to come out like this since he had a very soft hair. That looks fire 🔥
The banter was great in this one
Straight away... before you started his hair looks cool already in that messy style imo ... looks cool 0:31

I dont think his recession is really that bad... He could easily pull off a 70/30 or a nice middle part considering he has thicker hair
It’s not that bad at the moment but even at the early stages it can have an impact
