- This is Semifinal 2 of the Round Table Conference, a tournament featuring 16 decks from the 13th main booster of the Digimon Card Game: VS Royal Knights. In the second Semifinal, Black Alphamon and Red Garudamon/Birds will clash for the chance to duel against Masaru and ShineGreymon in the finals, each fuelled by their own respective motivations. Who will be the one to make it to that final stage?

wow, there's...... A LOT of unexpected stuff going on in this battle :
-how CLOSE it actually was
-how great each of their 2nd turns plays (both summoning 2 alpha owryu AND the zhuqiao pop-offs)
-how it basically ends with an Alpha vs Omega
-how Alpha reach the bottom of it's deck, leave 1 card on his deck, AND still won.
great battle on both sides tbh, but somebody gonna ended up taking the W, and it ended up being Alpha. ggs for both warriors man, ggs.
This matchup had no right to be this much of a banger
This was an incredibly tense match.
The Pheonixmon deck showed a fantastic record throughout this tournament. Probably the one deck which I’ve been amazed at this whole time.
It may have lost but wow, it gave Alphamon a run for his money. I do love that digivolution at the end where he goes “I will remember your name and this battle.”
So it’s Marcus vs Alphamon for the finale.

Welp. I'd say this is the second best video on the channel behind the deck out victory in galaticmon vs the nume-suka deck. Kinda sad about the outcome though. At least both decks got to pop off as hard as possibe. Although it would be nice to see a valdurmon made as support for the Phoenixmon deck and it isnt just forgotten like the linkz deck. And also somthing to speed them up too.
I want to play Linkz, but it’s hard to justify it with how easily it can be out sped.
Even with merciful mode, the birb gang couldn't handle the original leader. Now Alphamon has one more Daimon sibling to finish off to avenge his master.

Out of curiosity, I'm wondering where in the lore it was said Alphamon was the original leader?
@@risersin7957 I think it was stated by the X-Evolution movie, Wikimon even stated that the movie called Alphamon the leader that does not exist.

Saw the length of the video and was expecting a banger. But even that exceeded expectations. Birb deck took on 3 Alpha Oryukuen’s and literally only lost because Alpha is able to cycle through its deck at such an amazing rate

(Theatrics aside, I am so hyped to see the evolution of my favorite Digimon of all time in the finals! You can do it, Alphamon!!)
Garudamon put up a hell of a fight. It's quickly becoming my favorite rogue deck.
I think Phoenixmon is one of the coolest deck ever, keeping the match vs Alphamon
Shame Chika couldn’t get to the finals but now I imagine after seeing this and his fight with Rina he’s been able to snap out of the rage state from his fight with Yggdrasill. Now he can fight Alphamon with a clear head.

Was really impressed with how phoenixmon did given how many extra turns alphamon got, really thought itd be over when I saw the double Oreo.

WHOOOOOOOOO YEAAAAAAHHHHH MY BOI DID IT! That first move was literally insane for Alphamon, not bad for Chika I almost thought that Alphamon would have lost but he did it with the combo of his skill and Kongo! I'm rooting for him to win the last round!

now THAT'S a semifinal, it has the potential to be the better match of the whole tournament, but I still will ask fir either a round for third place or the Ulforce vs Alpha since I really want those 2 knight to Face-off in this channel!

This was so awesome!!! Wow biyomon is incredible. Im gonna try to build this deck. I just need 2 more copies of pheonixmon bt11 , and sora is gonna get her ace soon. Fingers crossed they make her a memory tamer set to 3 Just because she's OG so she should optimal for this biyo build and I dont like seeing hero in this.

Nope. Its not as jank as some ppl might say, but i've defo been high rolling with it in this tourney
It's the turn that never ends.
Now, this one makes up for the previous round's odd fight. It was intense, brutal, it had me on the edge of my seat the whole game...and it represents very well the sheer tenacity of the Alphamon deck, to pull out a brutal victory even if your deck has been emptied.
Sadly, I fear that my boy won't be able to pull a good fight on the opression that is Masaru and Shinegreymon, but it cannot be helped. It will fight with honor, regardless.

Great video Rustmarrow! You are slowly becoming equal to CardProtag content wise for me. I do have a quick aside, though. @12:28 outside of passing turn cheaply, why play Kongou? Shouldn't their board still be under BT-13 Alphamon's effect? As it is not an All Turns effect, I don't believe he needs to be the active card on the field in order for the digimon to be stopped from attacking. This is further supported by the idea that the opponent's digimon *themselves* gain the inability to attack. Supported by the idea that they can't attack even if they digivolve into a card that costs 10 or more. Here's a ruling from the Digimon Wiki:
Q: For this card's [On Play] [When Digivolving] effect, if during the next turn the opponent digivolves from a Digimon with a play cost of 9 or less into a Digimon with an appearance cost of 10 or more, can that Digimon attack?
A: No, it cannot. [1]
To me, this indicates that it is essentially a "Digimon Gain" effect. And that the Kongou wasn't needed to stop their board.
Alphamon stops all digimon play cost 10 or higher from attacking security. Chika had multiple bodies under play cost 10 which could have attacked in that instance. Hence Kongou stopped the play cost 7 or lower from attacking security. Chika's deck has no play cost 8 or 9 digimon in it, so Kongou stopped all lvl 3-5 digimon while Alphamon stopped all Mega lvl digimon.

Is that promo saberdramon going to release in the US with BT 13?
I want to say yes as it was included in the Japanese BT13 boxes.
I know this is months old, but best info I can find is the US gets the promo pack Saberdramon is in with EX5 which should release Jan 2024

@@PetenarYT yeah I'm really eager to get both the Saberdramon and the Plug-In option from that. I know Sakuyamon isn't a particularly amazing deck but I think Invalidation Plug-In will help a lot because of how efficient of removal it is

How did you manage to do the 1st Alphamon: Ouryuken end of turn skill when you were on zero?
[End of Turn] effects trigger and can still resolve, so long as your turn has reached the End Phase once - you are allowed to come back to 0 and still perform them

It's too bad Chika didn't have a third Akiho on that turn, could've gave it to Garudamon and cleared the game to meet her bother in the finals.

At 4:14, how does the Dorumon ESS go off if it was just tucked under that Dorugreymom?

Ok so did they not have another digimon above 7 cost to spit out? Because attack with Phoenix mon forces a block even with retaliation they get to put something up to 11k into play and akiho gives rush
And if they didn't have retaliation the merciful mode after the attack and forced block would of cleared oryuken
No, Kongou stops Cost 7 and below. BT13 Alpha's [On Evolve] stops Cost 10 and higher from attacking Security. So Alpha had both the lower and upper ends locked down

I was really rooting for the Garudamon, but deep down I knew it was over the moment Cool Boy hit the field. Bird deck was on a roll, but there just wasn't any way it could win against the menace that is Alphamon. Still, loved how the match turned out, it even gave me a moment of hope.

If she didn’t shuffle ohryumon alpha wouldn’t have any wind fury.
At 3:28, wouldn't the memory being at 0 stop the end of turn condition for Ouryuken's effect?
Nope. Once an effect meets its trigger condition (in the blue bar), it will go off. The only thing that would prevent that is if it has an activation condition (e.g., if your opponent has a Digimon with no evolution cards etc.) in its text that is no longer valid by the time of resolution

At 3:20 Alphamon Ouryuken activated the end of turn effect but it wasn't the end of turn anymore thanks to the Dorumon's Inheritable.
Nontheless It's really cool to see Alphamon being able to do such moves

I’ve only ever had multiples at once one time. It’s strong, but realistically needs its protection to stay on board.
I fully disagree with this. I understand you may have some distaste for the deck due to it's strength back in BT-9, but I don't think this is an accurate analysis of the card. It looks flashy now, but that is because the playstyle has shifted from doing tons of swings to using the memory to make a wide board. A board that can be dealt with. Without BT-7 DoruGrey, as you saw, it can be dealt with fairly easily. Hell, the only reason he was able to win was because of the DexDoru's Blocker inheritable. The protection on BT-7 DoruGrey is what kept him oppressive and as an avid Alphamon player, I think the limit is healthy. I just hated it took so long for the deck to get a true replacement Lv 5.
BT-13 is going to make Alphamon a contender again, but it is still a deck that needs tons of pieces in order to work. Compare it to Melga and it is still the inferior deck.

Omg more than 10 memory use alphamon in 1 turn. Thats totally broken. Finally i can see why the dorugreymon is at 1 but is insane how much memory can gain alphamon
