Aegisdramon VS Chaosdramon!! | Digimon Card Game: EX-03 Dragon's Roar Arena (ROUND 1)

- This is Round 1 of the Dragon's Roar Arena, a tournament featuring 8 decks from the 3rd theme booster of the Digimon Card Game: Dragon's Roar. The first two decks to clash are Aegisdramon and Chaosdramon. The Blue Aegisdramon deck takes the Blue mechanic of playing Digimon from evolution cards to the next level, adding specific support in the form of powerful [On Play] and bounce effects that are triggered when Digimon are played from source, complementing past support such as KingWhamon/Whamon while increasing the deck's power, flexibility and consistency. On the other hand, the Red/Black Chaosdramon deck is an upgrade of EX-01 Machinedramon, increasing the deck's efficiency and survivability in tandem with recent support such as Attack of the Heavy Mobile Digimon! Two dragons of steel - one of the sky and sea and one of the land. Which will prove superior in this first battle?

Every 100 years... dragons from across the Digital World assemble to determine the strongest. Some are partnered with Tamers, others not. Some are lords of the skies and seas, others masters of the forests and mountains. But regardless of the differences in their powers and appearances, there is one thing they all share in common - the soul, and ROAR, of a dragon. So come one and come all! Feast your eyes on the pure carnage that can be wrought only by those chosen by this dragonic lineage. To determine the new Four Great Dragons that will rule the coming century (unless the current four successfully repel all other challengers), the Dragon's Roar Arena... is now open!!

That was pretty impressive. Love both decks. Machinedramon has always been a bonkers fun time and Aegisdramon gives me Pale Moon vibes.
Great matchups but the decks I’m rooting for in the first round are 4GD, Examon and Hydramon.
Now that you mention it, it really does feel like Pale Moon! I'm rooting for the 4GDs myself. Might seem a bit boring for Yellow to win another tourney in a row, but I'm looking forward to their conviction in maintaining the current dragonic hierarchy

hilariously, i took a machinedramon/chaosdramon deck that was using Veemon with jamming as a draw engine. get a draw AND don't explode toany beefy security digimon. it also allows the use of kaiser nail to play a machinedra from underneath chaos or a omnimon you got.

Love seeing Machinedramon builds. I'm still on BT9, but my current build is kinda similar. The purple Guilmon is really interesting though.
Honestly feels like the EX-03 Guil was made for Machinedra, generating 3 resource for the deck while potentially trashing the opponents key cards. I almost put in the rest of its EX3 line as well - after all, WarGrowl is Cyborg
but why don't you use the blockers you play?

Guess Machinedra didn't like Ocean Man.
Respect for the Monocromon that was played in 2:31, Digivolved into MetalGrey at 4:47 and stayed around till the end
Ikr but if Aegis drew into their 2nd Plesio fast enough, it would have vanished instantly - along with Chaosdra's life. The deck goes insane with the right cards, but a bit too reliant on specific combo pieces

Thats a deck I definitely want to feature as well, but wanted to cap the tournament to 8. Plan to make additional videos for Dorbick, maybe even a couple since there are so many different shenanigans you can pull off with him haha

Maybe Aegisdramon would have stood more of a chance if it had been GigaSeadramon 😉
URGH still sore about that, but equally excited to see what a future Giga will bring to the deck! Even though it has some synergy with past cards like Whamon, the deck still feels like it's only getting started. And not only Giga or a new Metal, would be hyped to see a new non-vanilla regular Seadra as well
@@rustmarrow I appreciate how every set is bringing new decks, but also adding to old ones, though. Especially when it adds to old ones that didn't quite make it, or just need an extra boost to get there, like Miko Mode in BT10, D-Brigade in EX03.
