I gotta say though, I'm getting a bit of deja vu from the BT6 Double Diamond Tournament. It was funny at first, but I'm starting to get a little sick of running the winning deck. It just does too much.
I’m surprised you didn’t do more matches until you got a game where ulforce X hit the field over a regular ulforce. Or a game where ulforce plays out a bunch of rinas. Usually in these videos you show both decks at their best so there’s no argument on why one deck wins over the other. But here ulforce just felt weaker. Not saying the video wasn’t great as always, just didn’t feel like it showcased ulforce as well as most of your other videos usually showcase their decks.
I get where you're coming from. I did get matches where Ulforce X appeared over regular Ulforce, and matches where Ulforce managed to play out several Rinas, but ultimately didn't use them cos Masaru still won one-sidedly in them. Although it didn't feature both decks at their best, this was the first close match I got and after thinking about it for a while, ultimately decided to settle on it. Since I don't script my matches, while I try my best, there's definitely a luck element involved when it comes to the quality of each battle, esp when I'm short on time. And while I like to showcase decks at their best, I also feel inclined to show their real-life consistency to some degree if possible. I really got lucky with the first 2 Ulforce matches - I didn't even have to try to get those insane high rolls, they occurred in the first few matches of filming. I think the gap here is particularly salient also cos Ulforce is a deck that scales a lot with RNG (RiNas on the Ground)
After last time we saw ShineGreymon, This really feels like a moment where one of the heroes had to have his shit kicked in to get his senses back and once it happened, he came back swinging.
Alas, the unfortunate drawback of being tamer reliant rears its head at the worst time. Can't say I'm surprised by the result especially being unable the bt11 rina off the search, but at least it was a close match. Fists were just too quick here

I'm impressed that Shinegrey's passive actually came in at the right moment allowing Masaru to perform 2 checks instead of 1. A shame that BT11 Rina came a bit too late as Ulforce goes down against Burst Mode (heck that body is dangerous even when not in play). I can't wait to see, will Chika survive against Alpha's formidable tactics or will we truly see a sibling rivalry to the top and could possibly see Biyomon/Garudamon deal the final blow as always before Masaru can punch Biyo instead?
That was nice. That sunrise buster in the security was a relief. Both the Daimon siblings have been going strong this tournament. Will Christie beat Alphamon or is Marcus going to smack a knight?
It's gonna be an interesting matchup either way. Alpha, the original Knight, attempting to avenge the fall of Yggdrasil, or the ultimate sibling rivalry
Both slightly unfortunate starts that balance out, and Marcus was better able to overcome that; after three consecutive sets of support, Marcus has the redundancy to pull through. I didn't even realise how much force they were able to punch back with on the final turn.
Nice, now we just need Chika to win for the siblings battle finals. Sad that Rina's kicks couldn't handle Masaru fist. (BTW Rust, is there a reason why you are not using BT12 Rize for Shine deck?)
When I was doing research for this tourney, I noticed a good number of event-topping ShineGrey recipes don't run BT12 Rize so that's where I got my inspiration from. More than half do run BT12, and I think it's good to run a bit for consistency, but I personally prefer the explosive potential of 4 BT13 4 X
I love both decks mechanics, but justo not a big fan of this meta where ir gets reduce to who O.T.K firts, kind of miss long matches with yellow hybrid. Shame that that Will bot be a Mirage va Shine, but at least there can still be a siblings duel
Is there a specific reason not to play lanamon? Sure not searchable but its a really nice addon wich would have won the game here.Also sora and matt are almost guarantee 5 memory in the mid game, wich is exactly what you need to hybrid lana and then into ulforce. Sometimes even reamining turn if you have 2 rinas on board+ one in hand.

Hybrid for game always feels really cheap to me. I know it’s a viable strategy, and I’ve done it a couple times myself, but popping out a random Agunimon or Kazemon or something just to last hit feels dirty

If the 2 rina switched places it wouldnt have made a difference bcos without the 1k ulforce would get minus down anyways which would have rendered him unable to check the last security they needed both Rina's to secure a win
Yes evade prevents deletion but specifically in this scenario above the ulforce would have gotten minus down if he didnt have the 1k from bt2 Rina. Since after sunrise it was left with 4k if it had the other Rina it wouldnt have been able to survive the last minus from masaru's on play effect. Also incase u didnt know evade only works for deletion by destruction dp minus which is what would happen would still kill it regardless of evade due to its dp still being 0.
Why did Ulforce die? I could have sworn it still had Jamming , as Rina would still have had at minimum eleven cards in hand... Not that it would have really changed anything, just wondering, since Jamming would have prevented the battle from the last hit in Security, as no matter how strong the difference, Jamming negates the battle, and just lets it continue, ne?

But it went out of control too fast, for something neither Ulforce nor Shinegrey were truly in control. Plus, I really don't like Shinegrey that much, feels too oppresive to me. And while I hope Alphamon gets to fight Marcus, I have a feeling Alpha will just be terminated in a brutal way.

It didnt have Jamming. Aero's inheritable only gives Security Attack +1
