    I’m not a runner but I purchased these due to over pronation. They have a moderate stability platform. They have replaced my crocs which offered zero help for my over pronation. Best decision I’ve made in a while.

    I have 2 pair of the originals, one for inside and one for outside. Can't recommend them enough. I inspect my AF V1 and my Tempo Next% before and after every run, since I'm paranoid about the air unit integrity. Rest up and get well Tim!

    My Nike Air also leaked. I cant even use them to mow the lawn because one shoe is higher than the other. Squeak squeak
    The length difference could also be from leaving your slides outdoors. The Sun or hot car will shrink slides and shoes over time.

    Bought em (v3), and couldn’t be happier. They provide stability, support and enough cushion without being squishy (when you really don’t need it in order to recover). They really help with ergonomics, every day at home and not just post-run. These are more cushioned that v2, definitely try v3. Tim is spot on with the ankle twisting avoidance.

    I also have the originals . Those v3s , concerned about the lip at the heel…. If you have an Achilles tendon or pain at the bottom of rear ankle that lip could make it worse. Prefer the originals . Why change them?! 😢

Tutte le suole in EVA sono così morbide anche di altre marche avrei lo stesso problema con le HOKA ORA RECOVERY SLIDE 3 ? Grazie per la risposta .

    My theory is that these ultra cushion, super squish, mega soft Styrofoam foodbeds _ackshually_ cause injury because the foot nothing to push off against and result in problems like weak muscles, neuropathy, balance and gait issues.

    I recently got the Hoka Ora Recovery Slide 3 in grey and they’re superior in stability, cushioning and support, the best recovery slides ever imo. Love how they feel underfoot and feel great esp while shuffling around the house, running errands or standing for hours on the hardwood floor.
    I’d highly recommend sizing down one full good size for a comfy snug fit as they run a bit large.

      Hi Jean. I hope your recovery is going well. How are you feeling? I just ordered a pair of the More V4. I love the V3 so I thought I’d give ‘em a go. You might also like OoFos. They are softer than Hoka. I’ve been wearing Hoka mostly for the additional arch support. Have a great weekend Jean.

    • @jeanlee28
      @jeanlee28 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Run Tall with Tim Thank goodness that I've been feeling pretty well except for a teeny tiny bit of numbness on top of my right foot after surgery. Doc says numbness is the very last thing that goes away after foot bone surgery. 😑😑 At any rate, I am grateful that I was able to resume my daily running just in a couple of months after the surgery.
      Thank you for the information about the comfy slides, Tim. I'll try them soon. As for the NB More V 4, I bet you'll like the cushy ride on your easy, long run days. Some might argue the shoes are a bit too clunky, but that's the point of these high stacked shoes, which will support ans protect your arches. I like these shoes wsy more than Asics Nimbus 25. 😅

  • @TolunayOrkun

    First of all, best wishes for your recovery from injury. I see you started running again so you are making progress.
    As for the slides, I have the original and I predominantly use them in the gym locker room as they go into shower well. I can rinse and dry them using the hand dryer before putting them back in my gym bag. Something entirely made of cheap EVA foam should not cost $60. I bought them for $37.50.
    I have the Amber/Coral colorway of original which is pretty cool. I also personally think OG (at least mine) looks better than v3. If I were to buy another recovery product, I would try HOKA Recovery Flips instead. IMHO, they look better and are less bulky to pack for a trip.
    As you said they do have significant arch support and perhaps a bit too much for me. As for recovery, I don't think they really speed up recovery but are comfortable to wear. I personally prefer wearing a cushioned shoe indoors instead.

    • @RunTall
      @RunTall  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tolunay. I agree with you on the cost. I’m sure they don’t have that much into them to justify the price tag. Fortunately they do hold up well. How are you doing these days? Do you have any races coming up?

    • @TolunayOrkun
      @TolunayOrkun ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RunTall Hey Tim, I was in South Africa for two weeks. The first week I was around Kruger National park and didn't run at all. With so much wild animals roaming in the area it was not safe and our program was loaded anyway. The second week I was around Cape Town. It is a beautiful place with lots of hiking and running routes. I ran twice along the marina, shore and hiked several times. Most notably Table Top mountains and Lion's head has magnificent views of the city and the ocean. I highly recommend it if you get a chance. The downside is the 16h flight between SA and USA.
      Right now I have a local HM at the end of the year and this time around I am also doing a HM in Houston. I will spend my summer gradually building my fitness. After my injury and this vacation, I feel like I lost a lot of fitness so there is some base build-up needed. I might pick up some other races for fall/winter but nothing is certain other than two races mentioned (oh well, the Turkey Trot as well).
