I've been fishing for a few years now and had to watch countless videos over that time to get all this information. This is a one stop shop for carp fishing info in the correct order of a session. Great work Tom! Keep it up you little hauler!
Tom is without doubt the best angler, and best presenter of carp angling videos out there. Really clear, really concise. Makes carp fishing seem so easy. Even after fifty years of carp fishing I learnt so much from this. You won't watch a better instructional video anywhere!
If only TH-cam existed when I was starting out! Tom Maker does have a way of making any style or situation in carp fishing look easy but still, this is an invaluable tutorial. Well done Fox
Watched loads of people do this and that, this guy knowledge is so enjoyable to watch.I even learn't a few things myself, your a credit to fox....awesome video
That was real good, you can watch tons of videos on feeling leads down, knots etc.. this is perfect at explaining it all in a dead simple format. probably the best educational video I've ever seen tbh
Was amazed by Tom's simplicity when I had a tutorial with him. He does all the basics, really well. You see how many fish he catches and you think he must have some wonder rig, bait, edge. He doesn't and just uses good solid angling.
Another fantastic video from Fox, most of it was info I was more than aware of but I will definitely be changing my Spod/Marker rod setup much easier way of interchanging then what I do currently. I'm sure that all anglers will reaffirm that they're doing stuff right at the very least and many like me will take a tip or two away to incorporate into their own angling
Great that Tom can Teach all of us how to catch Carp AND Treat it The Best Way so we can enjoy catching it later on while it's still in PerFect Condition …. said by an 55 yr old angler who has to manage ReCaps sorted out by pictueres during his fishing trips (for over almost 40 years)
good you showing how to behave with a fish. im new to carp fishing so it will teach me how to safely handle a fish while on the bank. Very important! Thank you!
Great video, very informative and has a lot of information for new, and seasoned anglers alike.I would personally say it is best to cover the first 1 or 2 feet of line as much as possible to protect the carp by using a leader, if allowed, but if not definitely some tubing.I have seen fish lose scales and receive side damage from naked line.
Fox I met tom at linear a few months ago I see he had some horizonxs rods are they these prototype rods tom mentions in the video as I did a serch and couldn't find them if their the prototypes then can I just say they look stunning especially with the bkack k build
Brilliant video! Good to see a video with carp care in too. 2 questions, Does Tom change the distance when spodding to a spot according to the depth, if so how much. Also why dosen't he use hemp anymore in his spod mix?
we will try and get Tom to answer this in his next video, in short he never really changes the distance in shallow water (Up to 10ft), after that it will generally be 1ft taken off the spod for every 3ft of water.
I don’t wana be negative cuz I love the fox videos but locking up on a snag is a good idea but not with a pod especially if it isn’t pegged down! If a fish darts with that set up shown it’s 100 percent pulling that rod in the lake especially if ya not sitting on the rods!
nice one EMMERDALE , all you got to do now is learn to be a bit more courteous to your fellow anglers and you got it made ,ie move your van off the middle of the road so others can get around the lake instead of just looking and doing sod all about it. when asked , making people reverse all the way back ,,your not a SUPPER STAR YET LIKE , GOOD OLD DAVE LANE
34:45 - Never hold the anal fin! it's harmfull for the fish, look at how the fin is twisted.. Give a like so people will notice. But yet another great vid!
What a great video for those of us who know nothing! Thanks Tom for making it simple and helping us all out with your knowledge and tips.

Was amazed by Tom's simplicity when I had a tutorial with him. He does all the basics, really well. You see how many fish he catches and you think he must have some wonder rig, bait, edge. He doesn't and just uses good solid angling.
Every new angler needs to watch this

that is so beautiful fish in world !!
Learned a lot off that and been carp fishing for years! Tom has got some hacks or what
Brilliant video! Good to see a video with carp care in too. 2 questions, Does Tom change the distance when spodding to a spot according to the depth, if so how much. Also why dosen't he use hemp anymore in his spod mix?

good one tom
How much shock leader do you join onto your spod braid?
Very informative fella are you doing another one?
at last someone who puts you right without all the bull
Hi, what rod is used in this video as the marker/spod rod ?
I want more of it
Could you please make a list of the gear you're using?
How long do have your leader? Thanks
10" he uses
Was this a one of episode ?
Finally a spod and marker combo! Hope we dont pay the price of both of them tho.
I don’t wana be negative cuz I love the fox videos but locking up on a snag is a good idea but not with a pod especially if it isn’t pegged down! If a fish darts with that set up shown it’s 100 percent pulling that rod in the lake especially if ya not sitting on the rods!
How long should the leader be?
👍👍

tom thanks for the video awesome info mate thank you ALIEN
When's the next vid due then?
Tom Maker or Matt Hayes?
I'm not sure if want tom as my coach considering he lost a fish that was in the net 😂
good video but 12 minutes to land and weigh a fish seems a bit excessive,3 separate container changes for one fish there is no need
I wonder what lake he’s on.… oh yeah, farlows lake 2😂
Best man at Fox is Tom. That pitchers is not fit to lace his boots the clown !!
34:45 - Never hold the anal fin! it's harmfull for the fish, look at how the fin is twisted..
Give a like so people will notice. But yet another great vid!
utter nonsense
Rubbish mate, where did you get that information?
Have a day off @andreasmich
Agree on that. Funny thing is is that he doesn't do it on all other fish except the one where he does the explanation. Great vid anyway.
