Great blog as always. Brilliant to see you both having a laugh along the way, as its not all about being ultra serious. You can still concentrate but enjoy the moments good and bad "its fishing in the end" and its meant to be fun. Always makes me "FOX Chuckle" when I watch you two?
Another informative video Mark, thank you. I didn't realise how many weather apps there are until I looked- hundreds! Which one were you using which showed the hourly wind speeds and directions? This would be invaluable. The standard weather app I have on my iphone doesn't show this.
The US is loaded with big pit venues. The great lakes altogether are over SIXTY MILLION ACRES! Including thousands of massive inland lakes (1000+ acres) and even thousands more of smaller inland lakes. Then you have massive rivers connecting all these lakes. It's just incomprehensible. So uncharted and so much yet to find out.
Yet another great little film from Mr Carpy and Harry .......the 50lb common 'butt head' that now lives in there was only stocked recently.....it was the lancashire record common for a long time....
Mark I wish you could do a just rigs video all your rigs a different ones where you use them and may be recap on some really special captures and customised ones where no other rig worked and I think the carp freaks out there like myself would love that..... Like a tutorial one 2 one but rigs and your way may be add some mark MUSINGS in there that be fun always entertains me like for instance betty the tea tin that was hilarious any way I leave it with you.
yet again a brilliant carp adventure well done mark and harry. me and my dad went to a1 pits just last Tuesday on pit 2 and it was a blank unfortunately. but keep the work up lads 👊👌
No better feeling than walking laps all day to finally see some big dark shapes in the water slowly they come into view and that buzz hits you like a sack of shit nothing like it
Ok bruh thanks , more and more waters are becoming syndicate waters now, and I do understand why on many levels, its just now its getting to the point of where do our youngsters go to learn the sport we all love,
The Leg Man not sure if you found a solution. light works, on shot and video pad depending on your skill level. First 2 are free but have paid versions. I run these on a 10 year old celeb on with 3gb of ram. Takes a while to export 2-3hours.
Good video as always. But, i'm a little bit disappointed... :-( It's called ˝big pit˝ fishing. I was hoping he is fishing abroad on a 500ha+ lake. Hope to see something like that.
Hi John, in the UK a 70 acre pit is a big lake. If you want to see Mark fishing a lake of over 100,000 acres then check out his DVD In Pursuit of Carpiness. Alternatively in Edges 4 he tackles a tiny 1000 acre in France.
Mark Pitchers, Those fish will never be spread out evenly around the lake. The majority of those 400 carp are likely to be in 2 or 3 main shoals / areas. So as you highlighted, find the shoals and then you could have a 'runs' session on your hands. Trying not to be too modest but i've had several multiple catches on there once i got on the fish. Heavy baiting pulled them in.
Dave Stone - it was a strange one on this session Dave, most of the fish we saw were mostly either solitary or in small groups of just 2 or 3 fish, but I agree I would have expected them to have moved around in large groups, in fact I'm sure this was the case but they just didn't give themselves away.
Good video but your summary/conclusion was a little mis-leading stating you caught after 17 minutes: 1. you stated you had been walking around for 4 hours 2. while playing the carp you mentioned you had received an aborted take earlier 3. while playing the carp you mentioned that you had to return to the van for a drink as you had been baking in the sun for ages Nuff said!!!
When we said 17 mins that's exactly how long it took to get a bite once the rod was in the water; we know this because when we checked the footage back that how long the camera had been rolling. At the end of the day location is the most important factor and I that was was illustrated perfectly here. Yes, many hours walking around trying to locate the carp and once they were found the bite came very quickly indeed; in fact the aborted take came within just a few minutes of the rig being placed.
Harry, you are an excellent film maker. 5 stars bro.

you not with mainline no more cool video and what a piece of water
low stock ? 400+ carp isn't low stock even on 70 arces.
Depends how you look at it I guess Dave, at less than 6 carp per acre it is certainly not a runs water lol..

Mark Pitchers Well hopefully you'll go back another time and have a few as it is a lovely complex of lakes.
Oh , and be sure to film it.
All the best.
Dave Stone Cheers Dave, hopefully I'll make a return trip one day as I thoroughly enjoyed my session there! 😊
Skip to 24 mins.
Sorry my watercraft is getting lazy dad get the drone out CBA
#dubreggae
Just goes to show you dont have to fish 100+ yards to catch carp..
Beginning was so cringe

Walking and drinking isn't fishing last I knew
