A great sim is a great sim. The graphics might be old compared to ACC and others, but the racing is the most important thing and it absolutely 100% nails that part. The netcode is fantastic, you can rub door handles without getting spanked off into oblivion. The AI is sometimes pretty hit and miss, they will slow right down for certain corners or incidents, but for the most part you can race well with them (I still prefer adaptive) I know there is no day / night or weather, but for an out and out sprint race sim it just feels amazing. Love the MX5 at portimao and the ring. I bought all the DLC pretty early on in my sim racing journey simply because the cars just felt right to me, that was before I had donr any online racing so I didn't know how dead it was online. Unfortunately, the only time it is busy online is when they have a free access week and all the Forza and Mario Kart drivers come on and beat it up.
Very nice. I hope to see more of RRE on your channel. AI is very agressive indeed, and the car to car contact on close racing is just insane. Mazda MX-5 Cup or TCRs races are only too much fun to be missed, and you may give multiclass (like GT3 + DPi) a try too.
It would be nice to atleast have some gt3 and gt4 cars unlocked along with a few more tracks for free without having to pay just to have access with other ppl because it excludes ppl who don't want to pay and in return makes the playerbase small and inactive, other than that it's a sim with the best ffb i've tried and i love the way the cars look and sound.
Raceroom was my go to sim from 2016 to 2020. The AI was incredible, non stop large grid servers one after another in the evenings in Europe it had it all man. The last three years folks have moved away and it got even worse last autumn, they put in a whole new physics update which made the game feel even more amazing but it destroyed the AI and made them unraceable and still to this day they are gathering feedback on their forum to try and fix it with hopefully an update in September. The tired graphics engine, DX9, the poor use of cpu and so many other sims released that got good have left this once epic sim in the shadows. It’s really sad because this after RF2 was my next most played sim.
29:40 Grey: "I'M TAKING IT!" AI: "No you not , kid" LOL I agree with you though with this game. I really enjoyed it when it came out. There were people on where you didn't have to have the DLC. You had great racing and then you had Need For Speed racers. As you stated the FFB is very impressive. I'm still trying to figure out how you getting your wheel to work well with these older titles. Tried PCars2 last night but couldn't dial in settings for my CSL DD and Formula V2.5X wheel.
Re3 is my top sim.... especially for manual driving. Try the mustang in dtm 92 class on nords or Bathurst....game has some of the best sounds, but most people complain about no day / night cycle or weather. Graphics are dx9... so it needs an update
You can setup private servers for it and they race eSports leagues with it; A lot of people don't like the way it looks claiming it's graphics are out dated.
The two things that make my RRE so much better for me is Re shade and Tactile Transducers. I gotta say RRE feels really good with strong powerful Butt kickers mounted left and right of the rig, in my case the Sim labs P1. The effects are some of the best i have ever experienced compared to the others i run, and they also work great but RRE brings that bit more. So sensitive to curbs, engine vibration and that thumping hard gear feel through he whole rig. all working with 200 watt amp and 4 aura bass shakers and Simvibe. RRE is still very current.
some of the cars in Raceroom feel great, unfortunately the sim is several generations old, they desperately need a new graphics engine and to implement features that have been in other sims for more than a decade
I've just redownloaded it after watching this video..damn u greybeard as I'm now £60 down from buying tracks and cars 😂 forgot how good this sim was..my only bug with it is, there's no change in weather or night racing
Yea, R3E some times has a problem of crashing, what you might want to do is check your how many replays are save in the sim. Believe it or not it can cause the game to crash, so see if you have too many save files.
R3E was always a fun time. We had a whole North America Discord community with the biggest group of R3E racers and would follow the weekly endurance races. Unfortunately, we stopped getting support from R3E (stopped putting up servers for us or there'd be issues) basically just starting ignoring us so we as a community moved over to AMS2. Game just doesn't have any traction outside of Europe and their eSports, shame as an older title that does need work it's still great.
@@robhoofs3932 I can't speak to the overall online play as I really only do online with our Can-Am Sim Sport community. I've heard it's hit and miss but mainly miss. Hopefully they can get something going with LFM and that'll help.
Race Room is one of the best imo ... Simbin know how to do it :)
It’s a great Sim, a very underrated sim that needs promoting more 👍

@@TheGreyBeardGamer I'll be watching 👍
That was fun. Looking forward to more RaceRoom to see how you adjust and adapt.

It would be nice if there was weather on this sim. RRE & ACC are my two favorites.
Ok I thought it was just me. I could find the weather settings at all
Outstanding race going to give it a go 🏁👍
Hey! Very interesting race. Really kept me into it. Liked how aggressive those AI racers were .

Thanks that is really helpful information!!!

Man they quickly took those positions back😂
Keep it up bro
It should be played more! It is a great sim.

Looks fun. I have it, but have never really played it. I am busy with ACC & iRacing.
Looks pretty gud. I will have to buy som car packs I guess...
They had it at 50% off when I last checked

It’s the only sim that keeps crashing on me unfortunately. No issues with all other main sims…hmmm
🤔 you’ve probably done this already, but have you tried to verify your game Files

Is AMS 2 allive as a online game? I am playing quite some ACC and have AMS 2 installed on my pc but rarely play it.

Yep, it's shame the way KW Studio treated the group, the guys in the group are good people.
