If the last pursuit was like that in the vanilla game, it would been much harder and challenging for many players.
I don't think many computer in 2005 would handle 500+ police giving chase.

I remember having a fever dream once where I was in the M3 and in front of me was a tonne of cops on both lanes and cross leading the pack with him coming over the radio saying something along the line of "My my isn't this a fine day for a bust." to which I speed off down an alleyway. Pretty sure there were less cops then what I'm looking at now.
