I bought a 2018 model. Unfortunately it runs high RPM on drive mode. For example if I'm cruising at 75 miles per hour the tachometer reads 2.7 RPM. On my 2019 Ram pickup truck 5.7 liter Hemi Laramie Edition with the gear selection allows me to travel at a much lower RPMs and of course much horsepower. So at 75 miles per hour on my Ram pickup truck I'm doing at least 1.1 RPM At 100mph, 1.7 depending on the road Terrain and also the wind factors
Amanda Pamela O'Sullivan, these are two different engines and transmissions the biggest factor in your results are the engines sizes, a 4 cylinder engine will run at higher RPM’s then a V8. A V8 has twice the cylinders requiring less work to maintain the same speeds especially under no load conditions. That’s why that’s why your 5.7 HEMI runs at a lower RPM then the 4cyl in your journey. It’s nothing to worry about and normal, your probably still getting better gas mileage in the journey then the Ram.
Im very surprised no one said it, but the issue here is gearing. The RAM has 8 speeds in the transmission while the journey was still using a 4 speed auto. at 75, 2.7k Rpm seems right

@@BoomenSooner the journey also comes in 6 cyl as well, the rpm problem is very common

The manual transmission doesn't downshift automatically when the vehicle is slowing down. You need to correct that part in your video lol
