The rail bridge through which the train was running, was built up by my company in 2007 Gammon India. We constructed the RCC structure and the steel portion was built up by BBJ. It is the longest river bridge project of my carrier till now, 2.1 KM long. We used to sit on this sand beds during summer inside some temporary huts and look after our works. If someone broke an egg and kept it on sand beds in summer, it became an omlette almost. We have constructed another 1 km long river bridge in the upstream over the same river Mahanadi near Naraj Barrage.

There used to be lots of talks about raising of platform levels to avoid accidents/inconvenience during boarding/deboarding. Suddenly people and ministers have become silent on the subject. Railways may note that inspite of may improvements, they are loosing many passengers simply due to this reason. Present Railway minister is an innovative person and therefore he should look in to this issue.
