- Today, we are going to compare Ring's Wired Video Doorbells... We will be comparing the newly released Ring Pro 2 and Ring Wired Video Doorbell to the older Ring Video Doorbell Pro. Which one is BETTER?. I'll be telling you why I chose Ring Doorbells as the Best Video doorbell for my needs.

@@Auroramystic Plot twist.: you get what you pay for which includes a free replacement device if yours is stolen with Ring, which no other company offers. Also if you’re recording to an SD card that’s in your doorbell, you’ll loose both your footage and your doorbell if it’s stolen.

Great comparison video! Many thanks!!! I recently bought a Wired to test things out with around the house. Watching this video made me get a Pro 2 for the front and the Wired is now relegated to the garage side door.
Very nice review, a breath of fresh air actually -- loved your bitrate comparison and the way you showcased the video quality. Gadget reviewers typically don't even have an idea of what a bitrate is. The devil is in the details. You got a new sub, hopefully your other reviews are as in depth as this one.

Great video! Very detailed and informative.
Of the 3, I am all for the Pro 2. However, I feel the only drawback for the Pro 2 is that the images in the driveway, the street, and the house across the street now look much farther away. So if there’s anyway I could adjust it to zoom out a little to make those images look closer up, like on the wired and the Pro, then the Pro 2 would be my choice without hesitation.

Again thanks for the video. I am willing to cough up the 250 on the Ring Pro 2 because my front yard is huge and I can see the video quality in terms of speed is better than that of the others. Also I have an amazing door bell as of now, so what I got from your video is that I can connect it to the existing chime I have. I hope I understood that right. Thank you!!!!

Thanks for a comprehensive review LifeHackster (always no.1). On the day I purchased the Pro, Ring announced the Pro 2. So I sent the Pro back and the ordered the Pro 2 instead which I will be installing today. Not overly keen on the night video quality but the pre-roll and sound are excellent. Looking forward to your Floodlight Pro review when it's released.

Not having any doorbell camera to begin with, I opted for the Pro 2. Discounts and banked rewards gave it a sub $200 price tag and a much better value. I like the square aspect ratio, given the narrow space to the front door, I get a better top to bottom view. The camera motion detection is great, picks up the Amazon truck at the street and starts recording before the driver comes into clear view, while at the same time not tripping each time a car passes the house. Camera is linked to the overhead porch light and the garage lights, so I get a good color night. To date, no complaints.

fyi Nest Hello doorbell does the exact same thing mentioned at 3m05s … when some presses the doorbell my Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max automatically display the front door and give the option to talk to the visitor… love all your videos! cheers from Canada :)

Great Compare... Most Companies now keep pushing all the super long lasting battery doorbells by marketing them as easy to install no wiring .. but yes you make a great point about getting just a few seconds makes a huge difference in it and honestly if you can't do a two wire screw head install you shouldn't be messing with anything smart home LOL. Ive tried the Lockly Vision, Arlo, and Nest, and Ring Pro 3 and totally like Ring soo much better especially if your smart home wired in the Alexa-sphere.. BUT I HAD TO TAKE A DOUBLE TAKE AND READ YOUR T SHIRT.. BLUE BELL ICE CREAM HELL YEAH MY DUDE> Hello from Bulverde, TX! ;)
