I’m cheap. So I went Eufy that way I don’t have to pay a monthly subscription. So far I’m very happy with it.
Great comparison vid. I just upgraded to ring pro 2 the day before this video came out. If Eufys non doorbell cameras had preroll I would be more tempted to switch.
So I put up a dual wired doorbell. Love it so far except it has issues switching to color after being in black and white at night. Toggling auto night vision or resetting device fixes the issue for a day or two

Eufy for the win
The Ring died on me during the July Las Vegas heat. I purchased a Eufy based on your reviews and really like it so far. Will give an update on whether it survives the extreme temperatures
Why not both 😉 I have one Eufy doorbell labeled with a sign „Business“ and one Ring doorbell labeled with „Private“. The Ring subscription fees are only expensive if you have one device. I have a whole Ring ecosystem with Alarm device, sensors and additional Ring cameras, so for me it’s worth the price for the 24/7 services they provide with the subscription fees.

Their plans get expensive at an annual basis. The plus plan costs $100 bucks a year and their pro is $200 a year. Pretty costly for a service you should already have by buying their product.

Wonder if one can split the functionality of doorbell and video by having a very basic doorbell, but a good porch camera. Looking for Homekit Secure Video option for the camera, no subscription fees besides the iCloud+. May be a Eufy 2 Pro? Also, all doorbells seem to detect the motion a little too late, so may be two cameras, one looking at motion earlier say on a wider perimeter that alerts the one looking at the door to start recording? Any thoughts? Love your videos.

I prefer my Ring doorbell due to the cloud storage, like you mentioned, IF the camera is destroyed or taken, still have the footage. I have Eufy cams and Amcrest wired around the house. Eufy for the time stamps and the wired for 24/7 coverage that the others can't capture - Best of both worlds.
Eufy storage isn't in the camera
there is a new wired 2k pro eufy doorbell with 32 gig storage that records continuous for 5 days like a Nest Hello but no subscription needed. Maybe they will offer the cloud option subscription but good to know it works without one too. Looks like it's pending for home base 3 compatibility. I also have a Ring floodlight cam with subscription so there is cloud storage for that at least.
Do you have the inside scoop on when reolink doorbell will be out? I keep checking the website. I tried to sign up to be notified but my email was rejected

Tried both also! I really liked the picture quality with the Eufy but its glitchy compared to the Ring Pro 2. Eufy also will only pick up 15ft away from the doorbell (which is badly to the front of my car) Ring is much better with this in my opinion. Eufy also had the bottom camera light come on a lot (even when there wasn’t motion). Another negative for Eufy is that it picked up absolutely everything (fog/bugs were the worst) even when I put the sensitive down, so I could only use human detection. My overall pick is Ring Pro 2!
I agree, why I returned my Eufy, glitchy as hell and motion captured everything even with zones set to not turn on.
What color face plate is that for the Ring Pro 2?
Overall, who do you recommend for doorbell, outdoor cams and floodlight for someone who wanted their products from the same manufacturer?
Ring has better integration overall among its products.
As someone who has used several video doorbells the ring pro 2 is the nicest to use every day. Im really interested is in the newly announced and soon to be released reolink video doorbell as it is wired with either regular power or poe with local recording, nvr and cloud support. I plan on doing a full poe nvr setup at my new home using reolink 8k cameras and the new video doorbell when released. Any inside info as when it will come out or any planned videos on it?

Ive had the ring doorbell and foondy that the wifi connectivity isn’t strong! I get a better connection with the nest doorbell!
How long does the charge last on the battery powered doorbell ?
I went with Eufy. You can do internal and cloud storage. I went with wired it's a pain changing batteries on everything all over the house.
The Ring PRO is a bad comparison since it the pro version, the Eufy dual video doorbell was a waste and Eufy just didn't want to do a proper wide angle camera.
I wish they discontinue this dual cam gimmick. This video demo clearly expose the gimmick with a 2 camera model.
Hopefully Eufy will come out in a few years with a 4K wider angle "single" camera.
I will stick with Eufy for a proper Eufy upgrade.
Ring may have a slight video quality edge but forced subscriptions make it a hard no for me.

If the put a 8gb in it's latest 2021 cam when it's 2022 2k no lol. I'm so f! It doesn't continue record or at least record a new of activity useless bell camera. The wired even doesn't work with exist chime
don't forget to mention ring is raising their prices $10 and the customer service is lacking these days. Yesterday i got NO notifications when UPS dropped off a package, and 30 mins later when I got home, i grabbed the package and still didn't get any notifications. I was right in the zone and the sensitivity is on MAX. when a deer shows up to eat my grass it tells me there's a person, but when you stand in front of the camera it doesn't do anything, grrr...

Looks like the 1536x1536 resolution originally introduced by Arlo and now used by Ring in pro 2 model really is the best option....
Why eufy went onto over-engineer a dual-cam system when a single square view lens does the job is interesting to say the least. It's similar to how amazon over-engineered fire phone with 4 extra cameras to show 3D effects that Apple did in iPhones with existing camera and gyro sensors.
In fact (it's my opinion IANAL) if a package is stolen in eufy's dual-cam case, and the perpetrator's face cannot be seen in the lower camera (e.g. just use hands to pick up, or even kick package out of view and then pick it up thereafter) then it will not be easy to "prove beyond a reasonable doubt" that it was in fact the person seen on top camera who stole the package.
Also in my humble opinion, if security is a concern for you, do never put the storage for your camera footage outside your locked/secured/private area.
That Ring notification looked pretty slow. But the Eufy can get glitchy and their motion detection isn't the best.
It is because I have the smart or AI notifications On…if turned off, ring usually notifies within 2-3 seconds.

I noticed something on night color test you missed. So test you cant fairly compare them. Is that for the Ring you had on your solar motion light which you also pointed out. But on the Eufy you did not. Which is why the shadow from your hat and cant see your face.
If you wanted to test out how the ring would compare to a person wearing a hat with over head light and the Eufy with a side light. Then that would be fair.
Also since the Eufy has a lower camera its better mount it about a foot higher also.

Hello i pruchased the eufy doorbell camera . And as a first time doorbell/camera user . Do i need to also buy a transformer ?. I currently have a regular door bell no camera nothing special just a doorbell button . And also what transformer is paired best with eufy doorbell.
For the video doorbell you will need a 16v 30VA transformer. Can get at home depot for like $20. Older homes have smaller transformers that cant power the smart device. I ordered a wired doorbell and will need a new transformer because my transformer is 16v 10VA
omg i have to wait 20 seconds with the Eufy when it notify me. router is 2m behind the doorbell and 250.000 speed
This Eufy camera has to be the first one they have that I can't see crappy video compression. Have they improved their other options?

One thing I hate about the Eufy video doorbell is that anyone can use a big paper clip (or a thief can buy a Eufy doorbell with the included tool to remove the camera) and easily steal your video doorbell.. there goes your $260+tax. They should fix this!
Same can be said about Ring Doorbell. And I have a Rind doorbell so I'm not hating... :)

Ring has a peephole camera and I also have videos on screwless installs using the doorbell boa, just search in my channel.
My old apartment only allowed the peephole camera - might want to check with your landlord before paying out cash for something they might make you take down.
I thought Eufy stores its videos on Homebase.
It is only for most of their battery powered cameras and doorbells. All cameras that are plugged in and wired, and also their solocam series battery cameras, No..they store the footage locally on the camera themselves.

Maybe Eufe have internal storage but doorbell gonna send a Motion detection video to your phone fast enough before will be stolen or destroyed, so you can see who is it and what’s happened.

just tried eufy. it doesn't detect any unless you press the button, then it works well for few hours and then looks it is off. I am good wit working with this stuff and try to trouble shoot it but it is disappointing. I want to return it and get a Ring pro2. btw the eufy customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. The only strength is the well design.
Make sure you change the mode to Armed in the security section.
