Isn’t California one of the most expensive states to live in though? People are always amazed at how “cheap” Texas is. But are these prices really that unordinary compared to the rest of the country like other southern states, the Midwest, etc? Being from the Midwest (Chicago) at this point Texas is more expensive than the Midwest from what I’m seeing.
I live in Houston and there is absolutely nothing to do in that area. Horrible schools and commute to Houston is 90 minutes one way. Garbage area near industrial plants.
I live in this neighborhood. Honestly its almost perfect. Close ti the freeway. Gets you almost anywhere in Houston and the neighborhood is fantastic. Nature wise its just amazing. The downside is the property tax. Its def high and parts of it did flood so do your research
The only thing about living way the heck out there unless you work out there the traffic in Houston is horrendous. If you think that you're going to drive from all the way out there into downtown every day that gonna get old very quick. Also look at your HOA fees because most of these communities you're adding a few hundred a month on top of your mortgage in HOA fees and that normally increases every year.
Great stuff! where is that $220K home located? What is the property tax? I’m looking for a safe, quiet retirement home sometime later this year early 2024.
I have noticed that all the homes have NO mailboxes. But there is a designated mailbox for every home, just like an apartment complex. Is this the norm in Texas? Are these homes in flood zones? When the last time this area was flooded?
Can't really tell you about the mailboxes, but I work remote for a company in Kingwood (just south of New Caney) and all the people who do go in person HAS to leave early during any storm because the area floods so quickly. Otherwise, they risk being stuck at work. Hope that helps! So even if this area is safe from floods, the inner city will be inaccessible during flood times as you would need to drive through Kingwood to get to the inner city. Side note: I hate how he puts in the title the Woodlands is so close, but just so happens to forget to mention that you have to use tolls to get to the Woodlands, which adds up costs quick. I'm sure these homes are legit low, but Texas metropolis will take your money in other ways whether you like it or not. There was a time that Texas major cities were great. Those times are pretty much over.

Looking at Katy but my budget is 200k and coming from nyc and being the only provider for my family. I’m king of scared of this big change. Scared things won’t work out for us there. 🤷🏽♂️
Include the taxes and choose wisely. It’s the taxes that makes the mortgage extremely high.
@@meauxmodern9529 taxes in NY are way too high. You are paying $2800- 3000 for 800sq apartment in Brooklyn, which is not the best or closest neighborhood to the city. The prices and costs of living are ridiculous. Laudry machine $3 per load. This is what drove me away
A used home maybe 200K
Speechless 😶 here. SoCali can’t even compare - 800K for nothing like this. Could you find and show more of these houses with “next gen living with the in-law suite”?
Isn’t California one of the most expensive states to live in though? People are always amazed at how “cheap” Texas is. But are these prices really that unordinary compared to the rest of the country like other southern states, the Midwest, etc? Being from the Midwest (Chicago) at this point Texas is more expensive than the Midwest from what I’m seeing.
I live in Houston and there is absolutely nothing to do in that area. Horrible schools and commute to Houston is 90 minutes one way. Garbage area near industrial plants.
Damn, 90 minutes? @@htxgladiator
Thats why I got the hell outt cali and bought a brand new home for just under 400k new construction.
Thank you for your great videos! Can you recommend any rural areas or properties where chickens are allowed? Under 500 k preferably! Thank you!
Love your videos! Very helpful to research the area. Interested in League City area!
Glad to hear it! we have plans to head there soon! reach out privately too if you want us to go over the map with you there!
Beautiful home
You need to do a review of Huffman, new homes right next to Lake Houston, mid size home is just under 1700sqft, single story, comes in at mid $200,000
Property taxes are ridiculously high.
@@leticiaurbach1720That’s just Texas.
@@leticiaurbach1720 Yep , But the Houses are ridiculously cheap.
I live in this neighborhood. Honestly its almost perfect. Close ti the freeway. Gets you almost anywhere in Houston and the neighborhood is fantastic. Nature wise its just amazing. The downside is the property tax. Its def high and parts of it did flood so do your research
I want to buy in the east area. Do you know which part flooded?
First question: ARE THEY IN A FLOOD ZONE!! Because it rains a lot in Houston 🌊
Great video. What’s the builder that built the next gen?
Lennar
The only thing about living way the heck out there unless you work out there the traffic in Houston is horrendous. If you think that you're going to drive from all the way out there into downtown every day that gonna get old very quick. Also look at your HOA fees because most of these communities you're adding a few hundred a month on top of your mortgage in HOA fees and that normally increases every year.
Please come to Springfield Missouri and build affordable houses like these.
Great stuff!
where is that $220K home located? What is the property tax? I’m looking for a safe, quiet retirement home sometime later this year early 2024.
this one is up near new caney. reach out to us and we can help you plan it out!!
Likely tax is above 3.0%…possibly 3.5%
3.3%
The house in the thumbnail is actually not $200k, they start mid $500k. TH-camr with their bait.
@@jjwien8593 No, You are wrong. These are the actual prices . I live here.
Dude that's a lot of home compared to other cities!
Bay town smells delicious
Still remember when they were hit by a hurricane and people were moving away by the thousands.
Great video. Always add to it 100k because of upgrades you will find out you need
Starting at $200k is affordable in this day & age, but it won't be the house pictured.
Yup the one pictured is a Westin Home at $500k. Homeowners insurance and property taxes are really high
JoJos got the keys to the castle !!!!
Good video 👌🏾
There's a lot to do nearby, and so many homes being built
The $200k house was an amazing value!
Amazing.
Glad you think so! what did you think of this community?
99 made Tavola possible
great spot off 59 to IAH and not too far from front of Woodlands
Gorgeous city man
Dont expect to leave your house with the heat index!
nice offers here
I like the price of the 🏡 but not big fan of the HOA fees
Amen I hate hoa fee
Nice 👍
In Canada these houses would be easily over $2 Million.
God bless America!!!
It’s really tight in the last house look cluttered to me but as you say it’s better than renting 😊
Joe is speechless on that battery failure lol 🤣
left me hangin homie! hahahaha
Each block has a big mail box cluster set up like the apartments have.
How much the property Tax?
The orb camera in the middle of the house is crazy
Is a gym part of the amenities?
I believe it did have a gym in there. you like this area? reach out we can do a deep dive about it with you and other areas that may fit you!
Unfortunately, there’s no gym. 😔
May be we can try we love it
JoJo took us on a bizarre adventure, but I had fun.
Please let us know about property taxes, thank you 😊
There's a creek behind the house forget it will flood 🌊
Jesus Christ love you all my brother and sisters and have a special place for your hearts and soul.
John 14:2-6
In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Jesus Christ see the pain and suffering he see the trauma you been through he see the manipulation your friends and family have put on you but he say.
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Jesus Christ love you unconditionally 🥺🙏 more then house or materialistic thing on earth.
My wife and I will be retiring before the end of this year. We are looking into getting a single family, 1 storey house in the 250k price range. We would like to stay west and north of Houston. Can you recommend a housing development? We are actually flying to Houston next Saturday, July 1.
just call us asap and we can get everything planned for you!!
@@houstontexasliving33 That 220k house featured at the end of the video would have been perfect for us.
where are u coming from? NJ here.
@@subaruamazon from MD
Fowntown Houston 25 minutes away? Now that's a laugh May be at 2am. Sone of these planned communities out there it can take 25 minutes just to get out to a main highway from your house during rush hour.
Can you tell me what video editing software you recommend?
hi aside from real estate may I ask how u get such clear smooth skin?
The Extreme Heat and Pollution
The $220k one is where the developer is making the most money!!
Hi Jackson & Jojo! What about Meridiana Masterplan Community?🤗
Good stuff man
thanks so much we work really hard to make the best videos, what has been your favorite so far?
The last home, who is the builder?
Lennar I believe, reach out we can go over this with you personally and find exactly what you need!
@@houstontexasliving33 i purchased a house at pine lake cove about a month ago but still love the videos and thank you
Great location.
I am so sick of Uber. 12 hours $ 141.00 dollars. Mines $ 35.00 for gasoline. Not factoring in all other expenses, like service monthly etc. Riders are not tipping. I've also had many trips paying $ 2.60 took me 25 minutes to pickup and dropoff. Absolutely a joke. It's an insult. It's slavery and abuse. I very much agree with the rideshare professor. Fighting for a chance for all of us drivers. I'm looking quitting driving. Just looking for a real job. I've been driving fulltime for 8 years for Uber and they don't appreciate all of the hard work. I'm sick to the stomach. Also when I hear the CEO Dara, saying that they're all about HEART ? WOW. 😡
I'm s sorry to hear, there are jobs out here in Houston that pays you more than Uber, without adding those hefty mileage on your car. Even Target will pay up to $15/hr or more
Over 210,000 for a 1,200 square foot closet! Ridiculous. The world is so ridiculous with these prices. That is not a house, it’s an apartment
What is the hoa?
High and never stops
Even though its an amazing city with modern areas of sky scraper clusters all over and lush green but very flat. But, NO WAY!!! Humidity and extreme heat, the fast drivers, traffic, heavy rains with extreme loud thunder, mosquitos, snakes, alligators, fire ants. 2 weeks was enough for a business visit
I've been here for a year have not experienced lot of the things u said. Crazy drivers yes, rains anytime yes but its a great place. No wonder lot of people are moving here. I thhought the same when I was living in cali but when I moved and started living i realized houston is a hidden gem. I work from home so traffic does not affect me
This place is definitely a flood risk. If you're from Houston you know that's the woodlands in general.
What are the insurance costs?
I like your videos but if you add the distance for mosque and churches that people get more information about the area it will be helpful it will the most important for families
😂...120 degree days, crushing Humidity, outrageous electricity costs, flooding, fist sized hail 😞, ..but it's cheap 🤕
lol its not for everyone for sure. And new homes are energy efficient bills are re around 90-120 a month for 2700 sq ft. And 3 months of extreme heat during the day but evenings are awesome. I moved from cali and not sure what people brag about it gets hot out there as well . I like houston a lot :)
Let us know about flood zones. Out of state moving this summer from Florida (work transfer)
Thanks for the video and if they were 200,000 they def went up after this video lmao
What would you recommend for future retirees? Currently 55 now but looking to sell here in California and maybe moving to Houston area. Single story 3-4 Bdr.
