I feel like the number of theories on TH-cam gives most people too high expectations. It seems like they expect that the answers to all their questions/theories will come within a week. And then, when an episode is mostly buildup, people are disappointed. In my opinion, the problem is not at all with the show, but with the expectations of the viewers (or at least the ones complaining).
We did get big clue about it tho....answer even. She was let out, lured out to get Henry, once she did she was taken back...and the bottle tree that is fareaway too changed and is now working as other faraway trees..meaning someone is controlling it, someone with power. And we learned , this place is powerful, there is no way out, even if you get out, it will take you back as soon as you get on the road. They have to do something there to win or to satisfy the entity and hope it will let them go, I just do not see it happening. Entity there is all powerful as it seems, not sure if it is supernatural or all of this is simulation, but who ever is in charge is too powerful for them. That is what we know. And that Tabitha and Miranda have a big connection, possible the theory of Tabitha being Miranda in past life is true.....based on similarities and even her dream, many past lives she end up in From place, why...no idea. And all can be a game/simulation/program ....if they get too complicated, they can use those theories to fix it all. For now we learn this much...not too much tho..
@@HodajuciParadokseven if they were to be forcibly brought back to fromsville, Tabitha was about to see the most important tree of the series and conveniently through a fit and put them back to square one. The only important things so far is with Elgin, Victor and Julie and Jade finding new clues that we probably won’t get to learn about until season 4.
I believe they lied that they have a plan for the story. Not a single answer was given, only some details to some of the questions. Considering the amount of mysteries and entities in the town, not having a single answer by the 3rd season tells me they are just stretching it out without having a clue. Just pilling more and more mysteries and characters. We have so far with no answers: 1. How and why do people arrive in town? (No one walked in or used a bicycle?) Most of the time, just 1 motorised vehicle. 2. Humanoid monsters who did not speak until people moved into the houses. Who enjoy hunting and sleep in caves with hoarding hobbies + caged monsters in the cave 2. White boy ghost who can be in the real world and in town + the dog 3. Protection rocks that apparently can not be replicated 4. Voices, ghosts who manipulate people during the day 5. Animals and food appearing or rotting from nowhere. Electricity question and random music and static 7. Wheather, which never changed but does now + forest getting closer 8. Teleportation trees + some with bottles and without. Papers in the bottles 10. Symbol of the tree branches 11. Music box monster and disappearing dungeon 12. Monster killing blood and the caged guy 13. Usability of the liquid from the dead monster 14. Usless ghost kids who only scare and repeat the same shit 15. Memories of this town from people who just arrived there 16. Tent grabbing entity 17. Tower with no clues(drawings, monsters) and exit by breaking a window? 18. Fatima eating people and rotten shit 19. Quick recovery from non-lethal attacks 20. Statues and red rocks 21. Who dropped the rope 22. Giant spiders bites Not mentioning abandoned ideas like catching a monster etc.
I hate to agree but I feel it. There are way too many teases and loose plot threads that barely make progress, it's my biggest frustration last season because a lot of things happened but when you actually thought about what we knew about the town and the monsters at the end of season 1, we somehow knew less by the end of season 2, the amount of questions were like 5x more but no answers. This season, some of the characters are actually sharing info, which was handled very awkwardly a few times, I'd guess because it was just kind of forced in after the backlash, and it felt like we were getting some progress, things different characters have seen are being linked together, but everything is drawn out to a point that we still somehow really have no meaningful progress or answers for even a single plot point. We just know that a few of the questions go together somehow, we don't know how but somehow. Like everything and nothing has happened in 7 episodes. It's so weird, I don't get what they're planning because there's too much they could have paid off by now. Like they need to understand, if all we have is a million questions after 3 seasons, it devolves into nonsense, you can't even remember everything, let alone make sense of it. The story is more vague than Elden Ring at this point. The fact you made this long list and I can genuinely think of so many more off the top of my head, the spiders, civil war ghosts, voice on the radio, the kids, Tabitha's reflection looking like a different person, the spiral staircase, etc, it's beyond too much so it feels like there is no plan, I totally agree with you.
@mismismism yeah I kind of put all the visions of soldiers and phone calls into the ghosts and vision point because there are so many. I totally forgot the spiders, and I guess many more.
Without revealing anything, I can tell you that the answers to questions 2, 14, 15, and 18 will be answered in the finale, along with a few others that aren't on the list like the rope, for example. As for all the others....I have no idea. I think some questions will get partial answers too, while others they're holding back on until later seasons. I just want to know who the man in yellow is right now. 🤔
Literally!!! There is something of a game master/entity here that is purposefully tormenting them, I assume radio guy is also the one playing music in the diner (specifically songs to torment the characters) like there are sentient things here purposefully fucking with these people, and instead they're worried about the date tree and Fatima's weird pregnancy (still issues but way smaller)
let's count together: a town that lock people in, monster coming out at night, talismans, ghosts, power wires connected to nothing, ghost calls, bracelts that shouldnt be there, ghost dog, ghost voices telling people to kill, ghost kids chanting a weird word, misterious kid wearing white, magic trees, misterious pictograms in the wall, old guy chained to a wall, ghost bugs, possessions, magic crops appering out of the blue, totems, ritual stones, ghosts from 1800, magic music box, ghost lady in kimono, ghost pregnancy, misterious new critter in the cabin of the woods, talking puppet...did I forgot something? Oh, yeah, Kristi's wild mullet haircut...that thing got to be the evilest thing of them all
I was saying it as soon as Tabitha returned to Franville that felt so rushed her acting could not hold up what they were trying to do just ruined the atmosphere for me and it's been going downhill since
The show creator said it's the end of the beginning, yeah no shi×, the beginning aka season 1 was great. We haven't seen the boy in white in a while and where is that dog? So many other questions not answered. Watching 10 episodes just to get one thing answered in ep 10...
I also hate that most of these episodes happen in the daytime. The creatures are barely present in the show anymore, and the fear that your felt in the first two seasons just isn’t there.
@@___Somebody___ That's why part of me thinks it might've been a good idea to have had the show start in season 1 when they dont have the talismans yet and boyd finds them in the first season that way we know the feeling of how dangerous the town truly is because we experienced it while now everyone is just safe and comfortable at night so we don't feel that danger anymore because we barley experienced it
E7 was the worst of the series so far and S3 is worse than S2, which was hard to achieve. Some have tried to push the narrative this show is about trauma and "human dimension" to hide the fact this season is a total let down. Most likely the last 2 ep will give some answers (but more questions), will close some of the astronomical amount of storylines opened and developed in a nonsense way, and will end with some impactful cliffhanger, but that won't change the fact this season was a scam.
Whenever the reveal comes, it will divide opinion like never before. I personally think the show will be all downhill from there. They have posed way too many questions, and introduced too many useless characters to make any sense of this mess.
I felt early on that this was the type of show where the writers aimed for a character drama with mystery setting And I think the core mystery is something that could’ve been done in a mini series and they’ve just thrown in additional ”mystery of the week” type stuff to stretch it out over seasons
@@jahivah I think thats the problem with this show. It’s too many useless characters and too much drama. I’ll understand season 1 trying to get everyone on the same page into half way of season 2. But for it to be season 3 and these mfs don’t know how to communicate still, share useful information, and stop putting blame on people without little to no grace knowing the place they in drive people crazy is wild to me.
This show has always been like this since season one. I don't even know why I watch it. There is no story development and It's so frustrating. It makes sense that these are the same creators of Lost
The show is set in a mysterious town that traps all who enter. Residents can't leave and must survive nightly attacks by monsters. The monsters appear human at first but transform into bloodthirsty creatures with sharp teeth. They come out at night and kill anyone not adequately protected. There are many supernatural elements in the town, including talismans, ghosts, mysterious symbols, and unexplained phenomena. The town seems to have connections to different time periods, with some elements from the 1950s-1970s and ghosts from the 1800s. There's a theory that the whole situation might be an elaborate test or experiment to see how far people can be pushed before they break. Hope seems to "feed the forest" and make the town's supernatural forces stronger, rather than fear. In the season 2 finale, a potential escape route was discovered when Tabitha woke up in a hospital outside the town after being pushed from a lighthouse. The monsters appear to want to torture the townspeople as much as kill them, as evidenced by their actions in releasing the town's livestock during a food shortage. Many mysteries remain unsolved, including the true nature of the monsters, the purpose of the town, and how people get trapped there.
Jade is the only one running around, trying figure sh*t out, while everyone like "oh, we tried *one* time, so lets just give up", and I get why Kevin is like that, but him being "oh, we just stopped asking questions :)" was really frustrating...
He's focused on surviving and not getting sucked in some mind twisting plot while grieving. Make sense for him...but where the heck is the torture sesh with the night grifters that Boyd promised us? Torching that underground would have been a good thing too. (after taking back their stuff from them)
Is it just me or would others like to see Boyd put Fatima in the box only to have the creatures lead her off to the cave. Then she comes back and convinces Boyd’s son to let her in and she kills him. Surely that would break Boyd.
I want Fatima in the box if she won't leave. I want Acosta in the box period. I don't believe the creatures will kill Boyd - they've overtly turned down 2 chances to do so this season alone.
@@aparsharma5335 old news but this wasn’t a prediction. It was a question of if a scenario would be good or not. Honestly, very few people would post what you posted, decent people would delete it.
The show is bringing up more questions and that’s a serious issue… by the third season I expect some answers. This is feeling like lost all over again.
I totally agree with you. We get a lot of questions and sub-plots, but barely any answers or resolutions in this series. We get for example, the following questions/subplots with barely any answer: - Nobody talks about a plan to escape anymore - Nobody talks about destoying the cave with the monsters anymore - A journey to the lighthouse - Tabitha's stupid decistions in the real world (sorry, had to put it here) - Catching a creature. What's up with that? - Sara being in the Town. She has killed people - in season 1, everybody wanted to talk with Victor about his past, but he was gone. When he returned, nobody talked with him. Only Tabitha eventually talked with him - Jim's plan to create a radio tower. There was just 1 storm, and now he just does nothing anymore. - Kristi's wild mullet haircut - Etcetera I fear that the show will be canceled before we get answers
Why are there here?? What is this place? what are those monsters? who is the boy in white dress? How can they all get out?? where is that dog?? What is happening to Fatima? What is that symbol? Who are those children? Significance of Angkhooey??? Cicadas?? Tower? tree blocking the road?? Trees getting closer as mentioned by victor? the night of slaughter? The woman bothering Elgin? what about Jasper? Motel Sign? Portals opened by trees? Tabitha's dream??? The World War soldier? the bottles around the trees and the numbers found in those bottles? The creepy puppets outside the wooden cottages? The navy man who gave Boyd the worms???? Red stones? transfer of worms to monsters? The cave system? The talisman??? what abotu sara and the voices she heard and her role in the beginning ?? 27 episodes and not even a single thing has been answered.. yet, they keep adding more twists?? its kinda getting bored and i feel like they are goign to mess it all up like they did with "LOST"..
Every single one of these questions you’re asking is just the result of not watching the show. We quite literally just watched Dale die from an escape attempt, the town isn’t too keen on trying an escape plan after that. The caves have been shown multiple times to be highly elaborate. Not sure what you want them to destroy the caves with, but it seems like a rather big waste of time considering the vastness of the tunnel system. Again, see what I see earlier for the answer to this lighthouse question. Dale tried. He died. Could go on, just try paying attention and a lot of these will be answered. Doesn’t change the fact there are still a lot of questions unanswered, you’re just asking the wrong ones
This show would be great if they just had a small cast. The fact that they try to add more cast and more mysteries is whats killing it. Acosta now takes the role of Dale and Randall. Bakita will take Kennys mother role and take over the diner. When you see to many people having difficulties understanding the show or having different theories just proves the show has lacked in delivering one thing.. a story line
Yeah there's almost too much for their own good! I really like the show but the stories just piling on top of one another me is just getting a bit too much to keep track of
They’ve barely gone up in cast whatsoever, people literally had a theory about replacement last season specifically because for how many people are killed close to an equivalent is introduced.
That was my issue with season 2 and the people on the bus 😩 I WAS GUTTED like omg this is the laaaast thing we need. A million more characters to eat food thats scarce and use up resources.
I concur, from the interviews i've read the showrunners had the beginning and the end laid out...and the middle was pieced together along the way. it feels like we are in the middle, filling episodes with 'filler' to get to the handful of moments that really matter
The threat of the monsters outside at night has greatly diminished since season 1. I thought the whole chasing the animals through the streets thing was ridiculous, if people were faced with watching their food run away, or facing down supernatural monsters that will mutilitate them with smiles on their faces, they will watch the food run away.
I forgot about the dog too...like the dog led to the talismans, the dog led B+ others away from the creatures and when's the last time we saw it? We've been w/ Tabitha since season 1, why are we just now learning she had these nightmares as a kid?
Cos they only find the red stones in season 3 lol. Tabitha had no idea she was seeing Fromville. She just thought it was a scary, recurring nightmare. Chances are, other characters may also find that they saw the town before they got there (Abby and maybe even Jade since he keeps seeing these visions that seem more like memories@@realSimoneCherie
You absolutely nailed it with this video. I'm looks like episode 8 will be exactly the same amount of nothing as well. Seasons being 90% nothing, 10% cliffhanger is just not good enough. They've really let us down this season. I don't have enough investment in any of the characters for me to suffer through bad pacing.
I stopped watching a couple episodes into Season 2 cos I felt this was where the show was gonna go.. seems I was right - do they keep teasing a mystery that’s never answered?
It’s clear the writers/creators are just attempting to prolong the story for as many season as they can get… and with that they are creating more questions than answers and dragging it…. Shows like this need to have a definitive season plan to tell a story and not deviate. Three seasons without answers is too much. We should have answers this season and another season to see if they can escape
Yeah let's enjoy 2 seasons of mystery and answers where nobody cares about all the characters because there is no time to develop them since in just 20 episode u need to think only about solving mysteries, amazing take dude! U should be a writer
@@SimonTargaryen there's ZERO character development. if there were then all those pointless filler episodes would've been character dedicated episodes.
@@sanantonio855 how there's zero character development they literally focused sooo much on Randall, Julie, the relationship between Victor and his dad and also the new police officer
@@SimonTargaryen no they did a shitty scene where they drive. victor and his dad barely get any talks, and the new police officer is yet another shitty character in a show that has about two dozen too many. in lost you'd get whole episodes focused on one character not a bunch of filler jumping from one scene to the other
@@sanantonio855 Kiddo in Lost you have TWENTYFOUR EPISODES EACH SEASON to develop EVERY character, of course they can't to the same development lmao what are we even talking about????? What they did here it's more than enough for this series with these characters, they gave space to characters in these episodes and in the ending episodes of the seasons they'll give us answers and showing us new things. Nothing bad about it.
Since the beginning, even though I was very interested in the show, I feared it would end up similar to The Blacklist, where the writers seem to have wanted to eventually explain everything, but since there was *so much* to explain, and since it was so complex it would’ve taken an entire season (or at least a few episodes to explain), so maybe the network was against that and made them go in a different direction, abandoning the story because it was either too much to explain, or maybe they thought the majority of the audience wouldn’t be interested. (Fans were divided - many fans had decided to believe in a different story that did not account for the thousands of clues the writers intricately weaved into the story). For the first 2 seasons of From, I tried so hard to not believe that, the producers said it would not end up like Lost - but the more I analyzed the story, the more I thought that they are going to run into issues, *likely with the network,* because networks are not interested in complex stories, but stories that appeal to the majority of viewers who aren’t interested in shows that they have to think a lot about to figure out, but instead just sort of blindly watch like background entertainment. I just now looked up to find out what happened with the show concerning networks, and found out that From went from TH-cam Red, to Epix, then for the 3rd season went to MGM+, and that matches what I said previously. But, I’m biased against MGM, because of the Stargate franchise, so….??? But I DO know one thing for sure: The network has a lot of say with the writing & story. I’d love to know the truth about what the writers originally planned for this show - I bet it’s very different from what it is now.
I've come across the leaks for S3's homestretch. They're out there for sure but deliver some majors reveals that satisfyingly pay off the set up that's been worked into the narrative; it also feels as though some definitive answers have been/will be provided a tad too soon so I'm reserving my overall judgment on how exactly they'll shake up the status quo.
I keep a 10TB hard drive of my favorites shows/movies. If this season doesn't finish in a satisfying way, I have to delete the first 3 seasons and give up. It feels like nothing has happened since the start of season 1. . Every episode sets up the next, but then the next just drags into some new un-interesting plot point. I don't get why they won't just write anything satisfying..
Problems: Too much soapie drama - not enough action Too many questions upon questions and not enough (no!) answers It’s “Lost” all over again and I am afraid that this is all going to be a joke on the audience 😩
What happened to Boyd's plot to capture a creep? Writers seem to have forgotten and moved on. The writers of this show has no idea how to answer any of the questions they've raised, they'll just keep creating further red herrings, rabbit holes, and goose chases and then breathe a sigh of relief when the show is inevitably cancelled. Just like Wayward Pines, 1899, Night Sky, Y the Last Man, and whatever else we watched over the last several years. The writers have no clue how to wrap this up so they'll just keep making it weirder and weirder until the show is dropped. Been there, done that.
On one hand I agree with most fans, on the other I hate when shows over cater to fans. I love that From is character driven, and generally am ok with slower instead of instant gratification. But, the show needs to start disclosing more about what happens and they can without compromising the quality of the storytelling
@@KittyChibiWaifu Then, just don't continue the show. Reveal something now, and leave the big answers for grand finale. It's simple as that. That's all they have to do.
@@KittyChibiWaifu If you are a bad writer no amount of fans can save the show. This is why GoT first 6 seasons were epic then came the season 7 and 8 which the audience hated because of how it was rushed and didn't make sense. What I'm saying is you have to have a balance between pace and storytelling instead of just adding mysteries after mysteries with no conclusions.
Spoiler alert ‼️ For those interested in a summary of the upcoming last episodes 9 & 10, I’ll paste it in this comment… your welcome 🙃 ++9-10 SPOILERS+ + Boyd and some colony house ppl figure out Elgin has Fatima hidden and they kidnap and torture him to tell them where she is but he doesnt say. He keeps saying "it" told him it was the only way to save the town. Boyd realizes Sara said similar things when she was killing folx in ssni so he goes to her. She says he'll never tell them be she remembers how she felt. While boyd and the others are areguing they hear elgin screaming and go upstairs and sara has blinded him/removed an eye (hard to tell) and says Fatima is at the root cellar. Jade, Tabitha, Victor, and Jim realize the bottle tree numbers only go as high as 12 and they might be musical notes, Jade says he will stand in the woods and play the notes on his violin and see what happens. I saw someone on this sub guess it might be about music so good for them be they were right. And now the big ending things: Boyd goes to where Fatima is. She has found a hatch in the floor of the room she is being kept in but cant open it. She gives birth to a baby-sized fleshy pod. The kimono woman appears and takes the pod down the hatch. Boyd quickly comes in and follows kimono. She goes to a chamber where all the monsters are standing in a circle and puts the pod in the middle. It grows very fast and turns into a standing man, who turns around and it is the smiling man monster reborn. In the woods, Jade plays the song and one of the angkhooey children shows up. She sais angkhooey one more time and it looks like it snaps something in both Jade and Tabitha. Tabitha runs off and jade says "oh god." Jade then says angkhooey means "remember" but doesnt explain why. Jim goes to talk to tabitha who remembers she's been here before and was victor's mother, and jade was christopher, explaining why they see things related to both. Tabitha also remembers that she and jade were 2 original people in fromville, and one of the grey children was theirs in a life long, long ago. Apparently most of the town sacrificed the children because "it" said they could live forever if they did. I'm just speculating but that seems to be connected to the monsters who are maybe also original citizens who made the deal. Jade and Tabitha didn't and "tried to save them." Tabitha tells Jim she needs time now that she remembers. RIGHT at the end, while jim is processing, a short haired julie runs up to him, probably from the future. She says he has to run and "this is when it happens" and then someone says "hello jim" and a bald man in a yellow suit appears. julie tells him to run. The man says "you shouldnt have let your wife dig that hole" and rips out jim's throat while julie screams. It should be noticed this final scene takes place in daylight so the rules for the man in yellow are different than the monsters.
I think that you centered the main issue of the show. I am a bit divided, because from one end I really would like to see the reveal of the mystery, but I am quite tired of waiting all this time to finally have a glimpse of what all this fuss is about. I understand thast the nature of this show is slow paced and it is very character driven, but at some point you need to progress and even hard dying fans at some point they demand some tangible resolutions. I hope that the last two episodes that are titled Revelations, will finally shed some light on what is happenning. We are 27 episodes in and I feel that very little progression has been made.
That's the thing it's not like we want all the answers right now we just want some kind of decent pacing and maybe one answer they're adding so many Mysteries that there's no way they're going to even answer half of them when it's early season 3 30 episodes with practically zero answers
I think people are tuning out because people know they are being strung along by filler. As you said, Miranda had a dream as a child which we saw the episode before and now she at the same spot and it's all being explained to us with her husband being the skeptic which makes no sense in the place they are in to be that way. "Honey how could you have dreamed of a place you had never been before" also I talked to our dead son on the phone two night ago on a phone that wasn't even plugged into anything. Also I thought the whole Miranda made it out into the real world would have had some sort of pay off other than bringing back Victors dad. I mean, that was kind of waste of time. She called her mom, farted around and ended up back in Fromville.
I feel like for 10+ episodes now, I keep thinking "This next episode will be INSANE and finally give us something" and every single episode ends with no progression. I just don't understand how they decided to quickly swap between so many plotlines instead of sticking with a few and giving some satisfying answers in the meantime.
1. What is the Town? The town traps people who enter, preventing them from leaving. It seems to have supernatural qualities and is connected to an unknown force or entity. 2. What are the Monsters? The monsters appear human but transform into horrific creatures at night. They seem to be driven by a desire to kill and may have a connection to the town's supernatural elements. 3. What are the Talismans? Talismans are used by residents as a means of protection against the monsters. Their effectiveness and origin remain unclear. 4. What is the Significance of Ghosts? Ghosts from different time periods appear throughout the town, suggesting that there may be a deeper connection between the town's past and present. They often influence or interact with living characters. 5. What About the Strange Phenomena? Elements like power wires connected to nothing, ghost calls, and mysterious critters contribute to an atmosphere of confusion and dread, indicating that reality in the town is warped. 6. What Do the Ghosts Want? Some ghosts seem to manipulate or guide living characters, while others appear hostile. The motivations of these spirits are often ambiguous, adding to the show's tension. 7. What is the Role of Rituals and Symbols? Rituals, stones, and pictograms hint at an ancient or ongoing conflict within the town, possibly tied to its supernatural nature. 8. Why Are People Trapped? The reason for their entrapment is not fully explained but suggests themes of punishment, testing, or a cycle that repeats itself. 9. Is There Hope for Escape? Characters like Tabitha have hinted at possible escape routes, but success remains uncertain as they face numerous obstacles. 10. What Happens Next? The show intentionally leaves many questions unanswered, creating suspense and encouraging speculation about future developments.
@@FunnyProducer see how you can provide a lot of detail without revealing any information? that's the show. they give us the "what" and the "how", never a single "why"
Am i the only one who think Season 3 is the best Season so far? So many people complain the same about answers, while i enjoying theory and i think the writer will wrap up everything in the next season. For Me Season 3 is the best, so intense.
well done this video summarizes all the problems with FROM. It's season 3 and we do not know 1 single thing what is happening. many episodes have been fillers with nothing important happening. it's not year 2000 anymore, people don't have 6 years to wait for answers! the falling ratings reflect all this. now imagine if the network cancels the show right now!!!!
In my opinion episode 7 wasn't that bad. The real problem, and I agree is the lack of anwser after almost 3 seasons. I'm a huge fan of attack on titan, and yes each time you get an anwser in that show, you get like 3 questions, but at least there was progress. And i effectively don't see progress at all in this show. So the 3 next episodes will give me the faith of this show, if it's worth to watch it again or not.
This show is not going in the direction I thought it was, based on major clues they gave us from the beginning (like Jade’s soliloquy in S01E05 about Klein, Hardis, Einstein, Podolsky, & Rosen, then Trudy ‘reads his mind’, & asks a question that relates to his internal thoughts that she didn’t hear what he said to himself, but what she said to him was as if she knew, and she made other comments that relates to her being like a planeswalker who has that ability) - which is purposeful by the writers, it’s a literary device that’s genre specific, used in supernatural & science fiction types of shows - so this makes me wonder what the H is going on.
At first I thought the same thing about From taking its time giving us answers and the story moving at a slow pace. But since I been watching Teacup it made me appreciate From alot more because the writing for Teacup is trash! So now I'm fine with the slow pace of From. No complaints!
The biggest problem is the carrot dangling. I never get the carrot. I realized how the show just sucks as the engaging part is trying to figure it out. Once the reveal is there its over. I stopped caring. Im out.
@spellegren The Brundles were a place where people went to go for fun. To relax, have a swim and forget about everything. The fact that nobody goes here now anymore shows perfectly how the whole atmosphere in Colony House has changed. Maybe the location will be featured in another episode at some point, but I don't see any problems here?
True we should probably stop with our extravagant theories cause we are just setting ourselves up for disappointment. If the show gave us more clues it would be different now we fill in blanks & even create more blanks the writers did not even think about.
Last two episodes have been a bit concerning - feel like the writers are 'stuck' - unable to keep their neat ideas in check but also unable to bring themselves to move forward with the plot. I think a LOT of viewers will drop off after this season unfortunately.
I strongly agree with everything you just said. The start of the season felt so strong and it felt like we were gonna get so much but after all we've had like 3-4 episodes where nothing has really happend and just longing the ideea started into an episode into the next one and so on and so on
I think you've nailed it. At this pace you need more episodes per season. The result of what we have currently is going to be a cancelled show that just left people hanging.
I agree something has to give but if we go off with the writer/show runner is saying the last three episodes are the end of the beginning.. Don't give up until the magic happens
I really appreciate From steers clear of woke bullshit and just focusses on a good story. I don't care if an episode is slow, it's called character development. If they give up too much too soon, people will be annoyed and tune put, if they keep the mystery going beyond the average person's attention span (which is pretty bad these days it seems), people will get annoyed and tune out. People will complain no matter what. I'm still invested. I enjoy guessing. I appreciate it takes time to develop a good story. So I hope the show runners ignore all of you, honestly and doesn't get cancelled because of all your bitching haha
I'm so mixed on season 3, on the one hand, they finally started having characters talk to each other even though some of the conversations sounded crazy because of how little it made sense to withhold the info in the first place. For part of the season it felt like they were finally getting somewhere but the more it goes on it's like they're stalling for time and I struggle to understand why. They've been teasing the monsters only being the tip of the iceberg for so long but the only other monsters that have been a tangible threat were the cicadas and the way they wrapped it up basically removed them from the playing field in the same season they were introduced. Still no mention of the spider(s), whatever things are around the huts, they've teased potentially something weird with the 3 that got taken but it's only teased, same with Fatima and Ellis, everything is being so drawn out even though there are like 100 mysterious plot threads that have been teased and need to lead somewhere. For a mystery, progress is taking way too long, I rewatched some of season 1 and there are so many things that still haven't been touched on that were teased and what is expanded has barely been expanded. It feels like they're trying to stretch this story to take 10 more seasons before we actually make any true progress.
Man, what happened to From? Season 3 feels like it’s totally lost track of what made the show interesting. Now, it's mostly focused on personal drama that doesn’t go anywhere, and the main mystery feels like a distant memory. It’s like the writers are more invested in dragging out pointless subplots than giving us any real progression. At this rate, even if the monsters took over, at least we’d get a change in pace! It’s such a shame to watch a show that started strong get bogged down by all these distractions.
They need to answer why the town had attracted the people it has that alone would help so much but they find time making more random sub plots rather than focusing on the main plots its questions from season 1 they havent answered
Same happened with LOST there's a type of viewership that get lost in theories and no show would ever live up ti whatever they have dreampt up in their head.
This show is heading down the toilet if they don't get it together. NOTHING happened in this season. They may as well have not even released this season.
From reminds me of DARK !! The simplist way to look at the movie is what happend to the missing kid and how can he get home ?? But the complexity the craziest the unknown is what made DARK a great show !!! We need to be patient and not rush everything it’s deeper than why are we here or how did we get here !! I feel like from is going to take a different approach then we were expecting !! The show could go on for 3 more season just based off the different stories and situations i think it’s smart !
Dark was pretty complex with amazingly written storyline, character and dialogs. All three seasons of Dark was good. The first season of From was also good. But seasons 2&3 is just bad writing. And this not even about answers. The writing is bad like they asked chat gpt to writhe the whole stuff. Many storylines that were dropped, characters make illogical decisions, useless dialogs. I do not want all of the answer - I want the show to have meaning, good story. I hope it all will be fixed in last 3 episodes.
@ i definitely get what you mean ! A couple of episodes this season were just fluff !! But i just still feel like it might make a change for the better !! Hopefully it does i was a a bit disappointed the last episode but i just think it’ll all come together and make sense at one point ! And i feel like season 2 of from was good ! 2 really started opening things up and now we’re going deeper ,
also, usually every season works on a 'topic' that starts, builds and completes (like the cicada in previous season).. + some sprinkling of questions + answers from previous questions.. this season is just a bunch of plots all over the place, lots and lots of new questions.. no new answers.. I feel like if we get to the end of the seasons like this, people will be sooo upset and just close the chapter to the whole thing.. won't wait another year or two just to keep playing around with no reward..
This is probably my favorite show at the moment, but it's definitely not progressing as quickly as Id like. I always felt like the writers could have tried to maintain a more compelling side narrative to give more purpose to some of the filler scenes. For example - Ive never understood why Boyd only tries to control and operate within the confines town. Boyd establishes a relative peace by using the talismans to secure the homes. He also ventures out of town on his own and couple other times in search of answers. Given someone with his organizational abilities, Im surprised he never attempted a more collaborative and systematic effort to gain territory outside of the town. I understand that his primary focus is to keep the towns people safe, but arguably finding answers is just as important. Either through building homes themselves or by using the encampments already built in the forest, the towns people could slowly take over territory in the forrest. Using the talisman to push deeper into the forrest they could be much better positioned to explore different areas and find answers. An underlying narrative showing different ideas and ways they find to push deeper and uncover more would be entertaining and help provide more opportunities to uncover answers. Although drivers on the road eventually loop back into town, we don't know just how big the world in from is and how deep you could go into the forrest.
The from fanbase is by far one of the worst I’ve been in man all yous do is moan about the show just allow the show to give you the answers in time it’s a slow burner show and people are pissed cause they need to wait weekly🤦🏻♂️ if you had the 10 episodes at once you wouldn’t be moaning cause you’d get the answers near the end of the season which usually happens in most shows anyway it’s pathetic the way some people are going on
I have a million questions, what pulled Boyd & Sara’s tent? What’s walking outside the huts ? Who was on the radio / phone ? What’s worse than death in Fromville ? Come on throw us 1 freakn bone !!!
Whats crazy is we're 3 seasons in and the show is just now finally getting mass recognition. I really don't see us getting any solid answers on whats really going on anytime soon because they'll want to keep the show running for many more seasons. If this show was on Netflix everyone would be talking about it.
• At the end, while Jim is outside, a short-haired Julie (Tilly is Julie herself so that explains why she was in town) runs up to him, possibly from the future. She tells him to run and that "this is when it's going to happen" and then someone says "Hey Jim" and a bald man in a yellow suit appears. Julie tells him to run. The man says "You shouldn't have let your wife dig that hole" and rips Jim's throat out while Julie screams. It should be noted that this final scene takes place in broad daylight, so the rules for the man in yellow are different than the rules for the monsters.
It wasn't just how bad episode 7 was. It was just an episode where you come to finally realize just how shallow the show actually is. The only thing good about the show is the premise. Thats all that is keeping you watching. Everything else is horrible
Concur with your assessment. This series is one of the best on TV at the moment...however i could list numerous questions and plot threads that dont get answered...the fact we 27 episodes in and still people havent come together to gather info in my opinion bad writing...elgin...victors damn maps etc etc!! People are also aware this show is made by the same people who made LOST...so there is some memryberries going on also in the viewers minds concerning mysteries!!
No hate, but seriously, if you're not into a show, why bother watching it? I've started shows that put me to sleep, and I bailed faster than a cat in a cucumber patch. Bet you all had mixed feelings about Lost too! 😅
The first half of the season was so good, it's these past few episodes where it's really felt like things are repeating. I'm optimistic that the next three episodes are going to build to something good!
It's story buildin, season 1 was an intro to the game, the town and the rules. Season 2 was character building, creating familiarity to relate to and finding the puzle pieces. Season 3 has been about finding a table to put the puzzle together at, all 11 episodes they've been looking for a table
The entire series has huge problems. The writing is slow rolling every single thing, while introducing more questions that will never, ever be answered. It's been this way since the first season and I have no idea how the show got renewed afterwards. Whatever happened to "The Brundles" in season two? Never heard about them again.
i went through season 3 in less day a day by skipping some dialogs cuz i wanted answers and now i am at episode 7 waiting for episode 8 and still have no answers like its so frustrating.
I see comments where people are saying we need to wait for answers and we have no patience. People would be less inclined to complain about not having answers if they at least saw the story progress. Week after week it seems to rehash the same questions with no progression of the story. Its not about getting everything wrapped up quickly, but at least show progress from week to week or people like me feel like we WAITED for absolutely nothing
Season 3 of From is definitely proving to be the shows most controversial instalment. Be sure to share what you think of Season 3 in the comments!
Lol😂
I feel like the number of theories on TH-cam gives most people too high expectations. It seems like they expect that the answers to all their questions/theories will come within a week. And then, when an episode is mostly buildup, people are disappointed.
In my opinion, the problem is not at all with the show, but with the expectations of the viewers (or at least the ones complaining).
Thank you for the video, I really liked it and I gave it a like. Thanks bro!
I feel you. Are we getting answers though?
@80ighty you will get a lot but you might not like them. I've seen the spoilers.
at this point the viewers themselves need to call Jasper for answers.
Loool!

This literally brought tears to my eyes 😂😂 because fr though. Can’t put my hope into Jade he been struggling with those symbols since season 1. 💀

I'm still upset that they totally abandoned catching a creature. They haven't even brought back the idea, like why was it even mentioned???
The writers must have forgot or something
That's so true what ever happened to that
donna shot it down and boyd gave in to her
Donna advised against it. But I feel they should have tried different things like shooting a flame at them. See if they can withstand fire

Season 2 ended with a really big cliffhanger: Tabitha in the real world.
And after 3 episodes, she is back in the From-world. Nothing really changed.
For now we learn this much...not too much tho..
she was never in the real world i think
@@HodajuciParadokseven if they were to be forcibly brought back to fromsville, Tabitha was about to see the most important tree of the series and conveniently through a fit and put them back to square one. The only important things so far is with Elgin, Victor and Julie and Jade finding new clues that we probably won’t get to learn about until season 4.
Yeah that bothered me too!
Yep…
I believe they lied that they have a plan for the story. Not a single answer was given, only some details to some of the questions. Considering the amount of mysteries and entities in the town, not having a single answer by the 3rd season tells me they are just stretching it out without having a clue. Just pilling more and more mysteries and characters.
We have so far with no answers:
1. How and why do people arrive in town? (No one walked in or used a bicycle?) Most of the time, just 1 motorised vehicle.
2. Humanoid monsters who did not speak until people moved into the houses. Who enjoy hunting and sleep in caves with hoarding hobbies + caged monsters in the cave
2. White boy ghost who can be in the real world and in town + the dog
3. Protection rocks that apparently can not be replicated
4. Voices, ghosts who manipulate people during the day
5. Animals and food appearing or rotting from nowhere. Electricity question and random music and static
7. Wheather, which never changed but does now + forest getting closer
8. Teleportation trees + some with bottles and without. Papers in the bottles
10. Symbol of the tree branches
11. Music box monster and disappearing dungeon
12. Monster killing blood and the caged guy
13. Usability of the liquid from the dead monster
14. Usless ghost kids who only scare and repeat the same shit
15. Memories of this town from people who just arrived there
16. Tent grabbing entity
17. Tower with no clues(drawings, monsters) and exit by breaking a window?
18. Fatima eating people and rotten shit
19. Quick recovery from non-lethal attacks
20. Statues and red rocks
21. Who dropped the rope
22. Giant spiders bites
Not mentioning abandoned ideas like catching a monster etc.
Giant spiders!
@mismismism yeah I kind of put all the visions of soldiers and phone calls into the ghosts and vision point because there are so many. I totally forgot the spiders, and I guess many more.
Also why is the show called from. Writers say there is a specific reason for the title.
I feel like everyone just forgot that someone spoke to Jim on the radio
No one ever brought that up again
Oh, yeah, Kristi's wild mullet haircut...that thing got to be the evilest thing of them all
Kirsti wild mullet haircut is the most disturbing thing in the whole show lol
That mullet joke got me dying laughing
The wild mullet part cracked me up😂😂😂😂
that haircut, 😂😂😂
You forgot the dancing ballerina.
I’m glad someone is saying it.
I was saying it as soon as Tabitha returned to Franville that felt so rushed her acting could not hold up what they were trying to do just ruined the atmosphere for me and it's been going downhill since
@@VSMOKE1I rather they give us victors sister than his dad. He hasn’t added a thing

@VSMOKE1 that's very true I'm not sold on Tabitha as an actress.
I also hate that most of these episodes happen in the daytime. The creatures are barely present in the show anymore, and the fear that your felt in the first two seasons just isn’t there.

@@___Somebody___ That's why part of me thinks it might've been a good idea to have had the show start in season 1 when they dont have the talismans yet and boyd finds them in the first season that way we know the feeling of how dangerous the town truly is because we experienced it while now everyone is just safe and comfortable at night so we don't feel that danger anymore because we barley experienced it
Which I feel like Fatima Will change that because of what you just said
E7 was the worst of the series so far and S3 is worse than S2, which was hard to achieve.
Hahah😂😂 i like your comment.
this season was a scam💚.
Whenever the reveal comes, it will divide opinion like never before. I personally think the show will be all downhill from there. They have posed way too many questions, and introduced too many useless characters to make any sense of this mess.
I felt early on that this was the type of show where the writers aimed for a character drama with mystery setting
And I think the core mystery is something that could’ve been done in a mini series and they’ve just thrown in additional ”mystery of the week” type stuff to stretch it out over seasons
@@jahivah I think thats the problem with this show. It’s too many useless characters and too much drama. I’ll understand season 1 trying to get everyone on the same page into half way of season 2. This show has always been like this since season one. I don't even know why I watch it. There is no story development and It's so frustrating. It makes sense that these are the same creators of Lost
Frankly lost is miles better. It just had a bad final season...
@@evertchin i still like the final season
I think the creators are lost too
What creators from Lost wrote From?
The writers are more interested in showing us how the people deal with this place, rather than explaining the mysteries of the town.
True
Jade is the only one running around, trying figure sh*t out, while everyone like "oh, we tried *one* time, so lets just give up", and I get why Kevin is like that, but him being "oh, we just stopped asking questions :)" was really frustrating...
He's focused on surviving and not getting sucked in some mind twisting plot while grieving. Make sense for him...but where the heck is the torture sesh with the night grifters that Boyd promised us? - Nobody talks about destoying the cave with the monsters anymore
- A journey to the lighthouse
- Tabitha's stupid decistions in the real world (sorry, had to put it here)
- Catching a creature. What's up with that?
- Sara being in the Town. She has killed people
- in season 1, everybody wanted to talk with Victor about his past, but he was gone. When he returned, nobody talked with him. Only Tabitha eventually talked with him
- Jim's plan to create a radio tower. There was just 1 storm, and now he just does nothing anymore.

I really like the show but the stories just piling on top of one another me is just getting a bit too much to keep track of
what if it's to show that the town is in some sort of cycle? to show that history repeats and everybody is truly stuck
Lol. Yes. How many times we had to see Fatima eating crap. Too true.
If the show was over and we could watch all the seasons it wouldn’t be bad. But we all just want something before a cliffhanger and a 2 year wait!!!
You absolutely nailed it. 100%. I have nothing to add, because this is exactly how I feel. Great video and analysis 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great point
I forgot about the dog too...like the dog led to the talismans, the dog led B+ others away from the creatures and when's the last time we saw it? We've been w/ Tabitha since season 1, why are we just now learning she had these nightmares as a kid?
Cos they only find the red stones in season 3 lol. Tabitha had no idea she was seeing Fromville. She just thought it was a scary, recurring nightmare. Chances are, other characters may also find that they saw the town before they got there (Abby and maybe even Jade since he keeps seeing these visions that seem more like memories@@realSimoneCherie
@@realSimoneCherieBecause Tabitha saw a drawing made by Jade. Before that she thought it was just a nightmare she had as a little girl.
From Season 3 biggest problem: To many questions, not enough answers
I stopped watching a couple episodes into Season 2 cos I felt this was where the show was gonna go.. seems I was right - do they keep teasing a mystery that’s never answered?
Not enough answers❌
Not even one answer✅
From biggest problem: Too many questions, not enough answers
Biggest problem: too much screen time for Fatima and Ellis.
Id take 2 seasons with mystery and answers/resolution over six seasons at this pace. I just used 6 as an example
Yeah let's enjoy 2 seasons of mystery and answers where nobody cares about all the characters because there is no time to develop them since in just 20 episode u need to think only about solving mysteries, amazing take dude! U should be a writer

Thank you so much for not spoiling. ☺️
how did it get leaked. is it legit
Did Boyd just forget about capturing a monster or did I miss something?
Donna talked him out of it

I’m sick of the stupid constant visions and dreams the characters get they go nowhere
It's like they got 5 episodes of material but 10 episodes to fill that material into. I've lost hope we'll get any answers out of this show
Problems:
Too much soapie drama - not enough action
Too many questions upon questions and not enough (no!) answers
It’s “Lost” all over again and I am afraid that this is all going to be a joke on the audience 😩
Do you have an example of a show catering to fans that seems like a blanket statement

++9-10 SPOILERS+ +
Boyd and some colony house ppl figure out Elgin has Fatima hidden and they kidnap and torture him to tell them where she is but he doesnt say.
And now the big ending things:
Boyd goes to where Fatima is.
Damn!!🤯
One answer: Yes, you can go back to the real world.
Another: yes, you can come back from the real world to Fromville.
I think the puppet will only talk to jade, last time it talked everyone died except for victor, idk about the season 3 finale.
Even in LOST we got an answer who Others are at the end of the second season, and in FROM... nothing, just more questions. It's annoying.
I feel like for 10+ episodes now, I keep thinking "This next episode will be INSANE and finally give us something" and every single episode ends with no progression.
I just don't understand how they decided to quickly swap between so many plotlines instead of sticking with a few and giving some satisfying answers in the meantime.
The from formula is this..
Introduce a new idea, and tease it for 3episodes, then completely abandon it while answering absolutely nothing.
@@FunnyProducer see how you can provide a lot of detail without revealing any information? that's the show. they give us the "what" and the "how", never a single "why"
yup 3 filler episodes in a row like hurry the fuck up with the spiders and demons.
Am i the only one who think Season 3 is the best Season so far? So many people complain the same about answers, while i enjoying theory and i think the writer will wrap up everything in the next season. For Me Season 3 is the best, so intense.
i am really disappointed at this season so far . i feel like this will be a another show where it will canceled without giving any proper answers
The minute I learned that the showrunners of Lost made this, I figured this would be the situation
This show is reminding me more and more of "Lost", and not in a good way! How can any of this eventually make sense?
well done this video summarizes all the problems with FROM.
So the 3 next episodes will give me the faith of this show, if it's worth to watch it again or not.
i think the show is holding to the big reveal with hopes they’ll get another season… but that’s not it works anymore with tv.
I'm intrigued to see what this new reveal could possibly be!
Episode 7 was the first episode I half paid attention which means I guess it’s getting boring to me, shame.
That is a shame!
I was feeling asleep T.T
Its pretty boring untill the end. Still no answers, not even one, just more questions.
Right now im watching FROM and The Penguin, look forward to it every week.
Same here 😊
Me too!!!
lol same here
At first I thought the same thing about From taking its time giving us answers and the story moving at a slow pace.
Im out.
Remember The Brundles? Neither do the writers. Just like most of the crap they've thrown at the wall making it all impossible to ever explain.
I just want the monsters😂 its becoming not scary
True we should probably stop with our extravagant theories cause we are just setting ourselves up for disappointment. If the show gave us more clues it would be different now we fill in blanks & even create more blanks the writers did not even think about.
Last two episodes have been a bit concerning - feel like the writers are 'stuck' - unable to keep their neat ideas in check but also unable to bring themselves to move forward with the plot. I think a LOT of viewers will drop off after this season unfortunately.
It's a shame if that is the case! I guess we've just got to see what these next three episodes bring
I strongly agree with everything you just said. The start of the season felt so strong and it felt like we were gonna get so much but after all we've had like 3-4 episodes where nothing has really happend and just longing the ideea started into an episode into the next one and so on and so on
I like the pace hell if it was us in the show it would probably take years to figure shit out our selfs I wish it was more episodes per season tho
It's true, but if it had more episodes or a longer run time then it would probably work better!
I think you've nailed it. At this pace you need more episodes per season. The result of what we have currently is going to be a cancelled show that just left people hanging.
Great idea. Nice comment
I agree something has to give but if we go off with the writer/show runner is saying the last three episodes are the end of the beginning.. Don't give up until the magic happens
Jasper wasn't talking cos the writers don't know what they want him to say yet
Loool!
Too many freaking visions that is my problem.
3rd season and we still know nothing. episode 7 doesn't explain the dreams she had as a child or ghost that keeps appearing. 3/10 for my vote.
I'm hoping the final three episodes will provide something!
@@BrainPilot final 2 :( episode 8 was empty
No need to worry the last 3 episodes will answers to questions and more answers but its going to be a hit
I feel weird for liking how things are going

Me too, loving this season.
People get bored trying to get to end instead of enjoying the story!
2 really started opening things up and now we’re going deeper ,
This show went from sugar to 💩 real quick! Not to mention we waited almost 14 months for season 3 to drop.
I don't think they'll be answers or many answers. I think they'll leave it up to the viewers to decipher everything lol
I hope not!
I've read the spoilers, we get no answers really, just more questions
It’s great! People complain too much.
It's a good show, it's just got a pacing problem and an answers problem!
also, usually every season works on a 'topic' that starts, builds and completes (like the cicada in previous season)..
I knew this would be a problem since season one, I could see this coming
The from fanbase is by far one of the worst I’ve been in man all yous do is moan about the show just allow the show to give you the answers in time it’s a slow burner show and people are pissed cause they need to wait weekly🤦🏻♂️ if you had the 10 episodes at once you wouldn’t be moaning cause you’d get the answers near the end of the season which usually happens in most shows anyway it’s pathetic the way some people are going on
FROM is LOST. The creators care more about the characters’ journey than solving the mystery. There will be no answer
I dont think they care about anything but dragging into more seasons to make more money
Bro... it's winter.. there's snow and ice everywhere... where do u think The Brundles is? lmao
i went through season 3 in less day a day by skipping some dialogs cuz i wanted answers and now i am at episode 7 waiting for episode 8 and still have no answers like its so frustrating.
I thought I’m only the one feeling this way. Glad some youtuber, the real one just pointed it out.
The fan base of from is the MOST irritating group of ppl I have ever seen. If the show is moving to slow, then stop watching it.
