Here's a lovely 2024 haul from my trip back home to NY. Miniatures and Supplies. Plus, two dollhouses less than $40 each. Hope you may find something to inspire your miniature visions.

Those tiny pegs with the rings are used for half-drilled pearls or gemstones. They are glued into the drilled hole.
I had a bunch of tiny carved jade animals with shallow holes drilled into their backs to take this type of finding. Yep, they are absolute treasure for us miniaturists! What a fantastic haul! Metal bits are my biggest weakness, my hoard. 😂

They look like a cuff link to me too. You struck gold with all of the wonderful things that you found. Especially with your fabulous fabrics you found. Say that five times fast. I can’t believe all your stash, now you have to put it all away so it’s organized with your own stash, lol. Have fun and I can’t wait to see what you use all of your stash for. They are definitely cuff links. You can cut out pictures and glue them into the cuff link base, underneath the cabochon (round glass) tops.

Thank you, NY is usually a dependable state for thrift and free finds. Miss that about living there, people just throw away great furniture pieces and a lot of antique and vintage furniture, like they have no appreciation for such finds..its a shame, really, but on the other hand gold for people like me..lol🥰❤️
New houses are exciting. I can’t wait to watch you bring these houses to life. I love the Josephine house, so I’m sure I’ll love those

The unique pieces are cuff link blanks. You put your own image under the glass. The ones that look like little keys are glue in peg nails you can use to connect a half drilled bead like a pearl. I’m all about jewelry findings. The trays can be called bezels, cabochon settings or cabochon bases. This was super entertaining!

Definitely cufflinks. I have a pair of of Huckleberry Finn cufflinks I have had when I was knee high to a grass hopper.
Those are probably really awesome, and I would think quite rare. I love Huck Finn... he was such a menace ❤️🥰

What wonderful buys,the dolls houses are beautiful.All the items you bought were amazing,the material and lace was a good find.The little silver round things look like cuff links that you add colour to to match the ties,many years ago I was something like this for shirt displays.l loved everything you bought,can’t wait to see what you make with them.I wish we had a shop like that in UK, miniature and doll house things are hard to find here and if you do they are expensive.Thanks for sharing it was brilliant.

What a haul Jolene! A chatelain is what a house keeper or lady of the house or castle would wear to hold the house keys and precious items of the house such as scissors and a watch. You could make a castle in a future build! I’ve never heard of second hand craft stores here in the uk but what a fab idea xxxx

Wow, Jolene! What amazing goodies! I think that retro wallpaper would make a great linoleum rug in Josephine's kitchen if you slapped a coat or two of mod-podge on it!

I really enjoyed watching you sort through your haul and talk about the different stores! Wow but you got some wonderful things! Imagine how much all those little notions would have been retail! The dolls houses are of course the BEST! It's hard to gauge scale in a video. Do you think they're as small as 1:24? 1:16 maybe. I LOVE the smaller Victorian style one. I can't wait to see all the wonderful things you'll do with them. So fun to watch 🥰✨
Thank you, 🤔I'm not really sure 1:12 or 1:16..they are bigger than 1:12. And I placed that small rocking chair on the porch of the smaller house and seems to look good. I won't really know until I get in there and start placing furniture to size the scale. However, the good news is I can install proper lighting in the smaller house and possibly the larger one. I have planting of dollhouse eletrical tape. I just need a few components. 🥰❤️

I have used placemats as throw rugs. They are wonderful to use, because they lay flat and are usually pretty thin. I don't think the smaller house is a Duracraft; it looks handmade, but the bigger house could be a Duracraft. I'm remodeling a Duracraft house right now and if they aren't built well from the start, which mine wasn't, they can be a real pain to remodel, because nothing is straight. I 2nd hand craft store is a fantastic idea and I wish we had one in my area!

Wow, what a great haul. I’d love it if o could find places like this to shop at. The lovely vintage and antique emporium that used to stock some miniatures changed hands last year and no longer has anything 😢

I miss that about NY. You could furnish your whole house next to nothing, mostly free and pocket change. They have awesome estate sales too. But I don't know they say the grass isn't greener, and even with that in mind I would still rather be in the UK ...lol 😂😂❤️🥰
