I get attached to inanimate objects almost as much as I get attached to animals, pets, which are animate! I see no harm in any of it. It’s all delightful! Obviously, people come first, but hey, we gotta get what joy we can when we can. I forgot how much I love design, miniatures, travel, sewing, etc etc. Because life has become mundane caring for my 90yo+ parents. But! We’re never too old to fantasize 😊💃 Thank you. 💐

Hello Richard I have 5 dollhouses but I can't decorated them and do them up as they ate in boxes. Ready to be moved to are new cottage up in Cornwall in July. Or August. I love watching your videos. You ate the best and so is Julie warren. I really injoy watching both yours and Julie you inspire me to do mine. But I have to unpack them. . Going to a dollhouse fair at the end of July.

Kathleen/Rich, thanks for a new suggestion for a great miniaturist to follow. I’m checking out Julie Warren asap! After over 30 years, I’m picking up the hobby again. I started at age 16 with some money my grandfather left me and built two houses. Unfortunately, I had to part with both of them after many years and transitions, having two children, and fleeing an abusive marriage. You can’t imagine how hard it was to see all my memories and hard work sitting on the curb with the other things I couldn’t afford to take with me. However, I was able to keep about half of my furniture and accessories in boxes that have been sitting for decades now. I just bought two kits this month, and I’m looking forward to many healing hours of building and accessorizing my new houses. I hope some of my fellow miniaturists read this because you’re probably the only people in the world who understand. (I also love and follow Kath on the TH-cam channel Square to Spare who makes incredible modern miniatures.) Love from Texas!
Richard, my miniature client Madame (not that kind) who owns the NYC brownstone ( it's a bookcase) told me she did not like any of the 9 chairs for the living and dining room that I bought last month and refuses to have them. Well. that kept me awake but now I am waiting for an eBay order of Strombecker couches and lamps. Thank goodness you, John and our community understand. These Strombeckers are from the 1930's and are simple wood children's toys. (I also like 1930's Kilgore cast iron for the nursery). Nothing gets bought unless it is a good deal as we are low-income, so Madame better shape up and stop complaining.
