Who knew that the Onakke, only referenced on a planechase card and a lackluster core set legend, were so interesting?
Spooky my good man. I think Liliana Vess may transform into a dangerous necromantic succubus and we amy even see succubis/incubis appear in mtg.
I do hope that Liliana gets saved from its cursed she's been one of my favorite planeswalkers since she first came to be!

A fantastic card in our Superfriends deck. I didn't realize how circular the lore for this veil was, it certainly seems to have sentient intent.
The Chain Veil is what keeps me coming back into the lore! always gets my attention
M15 was my starting set, and I will always love it! My first deck was the green m15 intro pack and I still hold a connection with Phytotitan.
I pulled a foil one of these, but would not mind another. The flavour of this card is so good.
I love how it's the planeswalker symbol upside down, vary intimidating.
the veil is a very interesting artifact, I can't wait to see how it will all turn out.
Chain Veil is very much one of the best companions/staples of any superfriends deck.
This story is awesome, I love stories about seemingly sentient objects that cause havoc for those you use it. This is a super creepy artifact, but I love it cause it looks like it's staring into your soul!

I like the chain veil a lot because of it's synergy with the planeswalker commanders like Teferi

This card could make a really nice center for a planeswalker-themed deck.
I do remember wanting one these when it came out. Always love double up cards, even though they usually don't end up being very good.

I I love the idea of using this in any of my planeswalker decks, especially with a nicol bolas deck!
Liliana is my favorite planeswalker. Her story and her motivations are so intriguing. She is the one walker that truly stands out from the rest of the origin 5.
I first began playing Magic with the Core release of M15. What got me started was reading a comic book that had Liliana Vess getting the Chainmail and cursing Garruk! I had no idea who these characters were but when I learned how they related to the game I had to try it out

I remember when this was spoiled, the community was split two ways. Either you were
*Team Veil, and immediately looked up all the planeswalkers to make a Superfriends deck (me) or
*Team Competitive and you hated on it taking a mythic spot in the set and thought it would never see serious play in Standard (true).
The Chain Veil is a card you build a niche theme deck around, and it is all sorts of fun in casual play. I gave my copy to a "friend" as part of a superfriends deck I never saw again... so a new one would be nice!

I think the whole story based around her is amazing and she was one of the first planeswalkers I learned about and I've loved her ever sense
my favorite planes walker lore wise is nahiri unfortunately her planes walker card isn't very good

This card would be so awesome to have in my simic infinite planeswalker loyalty combo! Tezzeret, Nissa, and the Chain Veil!
I really like this card, there's not many that focus on just plains walkers
This has a ridiculous combo with the last ability of the teferi planeswalker
The art alone is worth throwing my name in the pot for this haunted artefact - beautiful.
I love the combo between this, Nissa Worldwaker, and the new BfZ duel type lands. Tap them untap them with Nissa, than tap them again, use the chain veil so Nissa can untap them again, you get it. Witch means 12 mana from 4 lands!
Would make an awesome addition to my Planeswalker control deck!

the chain veil is a really great card to combo off with in a super friends deck
I've seen the chain veil + contagion engine used to do crazy things in an esper super friends edh deck...
For all that Ms.Vess has done in the story line with it.. It's Narset and JtMS everyone fears when the veil is out on the table.
Innistradd is included in so many of these cards and stories. I love it

Such a powerful curse... The Chain Veil is too dangerous.
Chain Veil is a pretty good card...if you have a Superfriends (lots of planeswalkers) deck. Even if you don't though, it is still good, but you have to be very careful as in find a way to destroy it if your planeswalker(s) die(s).
Just got the Liliana of the Veil you sent me, man it is cool and i'm hoping to finish up my liliana themed deck, around her history and storyline, still coming together to make a great deck

The chain veil is pretty interesting, and I am excited to find out what wizards does with it in the future.
This is the main component for any Planeswalker deck, my colors for that are Bant.

Man, Garruk and Liliana definitely need help. Maybe, just maybe, its connected with Nahiri. Her powerful hedrons can trap evil, so maybe Nahiri has traveled back in time to inquire to the Onok about their last relic.

@seibenlore Sounds like the chain veil brings out the dark side on whoever wears it and those cursed by it slowly become demonic and are corrupted. Nice job on this lore😉

So I was playing against a friend who was using the Chain Veil play mat. It wasn't until we finished our games that I got a good look at the veil. And suddenly, a year after its release, I realized it is the planeswalker symbol upside down. I felt a bit stupid, but I like how the design is most obvious to your opponent and less to you.
I've seen a superfriends EDH deck with the chain veil in it has done some very unsavory things!
The chain veil would be awesome in my Narset deck I'm planing on building with lots and lots of planeswalkers.

The Chain Veil is great, and it is on flavor.....for the most part.
One veil to rule them all, one veil to find them, one veil to bring them and in the darkness bind them...

The ogres of shandalar definitely are a mystery. A tribe usually compared with Red making a Black mana focused artifact? Very interesting. I worry for Daretti
that card with a black ob nixilis and liliana deck would be a total blowout
I believe it's part of all magic players dreams to create a planeswalkers commander deck, and this card would be needed in it! One day...
The Onakke are pretty interesting, to say the least. Kurkesh would be a good lore, but good luck finding anything.

+reier østerberg it's in his card's name. Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient. Plus he's an Ogre Spirit, so his card came after their demise. He's great with artifacts too, which is flavorful with the lore.

I remember you mentioning that the remaining two demons in Liliana's contract were WAAAY stronger than even Griselbrand, who is already bonkers. I'm guessing that's not going to reflected on their cards.
Makes so much more sense why she is called Liliana of the Veil in Innistrad. Never saw her holding the Chain Veil in the card. Whoops!

I've been meaning to make a superfriends deck with the chain veil...
Always beena big fan of Liliana. She was the first plains walker i recived so naturally i spent my time resurching her and the chain veil. While most of the story i knew it took much longer to find out what i know about the veil.
As far the the story i feel ether liliana will ether lose the veil before any physical transformation or there will be not much of one. But i am exited to see wether the veil will be destroyed or itself transformed into something new.
