Yes this concert was awesome!! Seats 20,000 and sold out 15 nights in a row!! 233,000 watts of power pushed through the lighting and sound system which was second to none and probably still is second to none!!!! Just about any song from this concert is at least equivalent to almost any other bands Grand finale!!! Pick any song from this concert and you will very likely agree!!!
OK...here's the scoop: Pink Floyd is David Gilmour (lead vocals, lead guitar, acoustic guitar, lap steel guitar, fretless bass, voice box), Richard Wright (keyboards and harmonies), Guy Pratt (bass, harmonies who replaced founding member Roger Waters), and Nick Mason (drums). The other amazing musicians are there in order to recreate the original studio sound without using background recordings for overdubs - Tim Renwick (second lead guitar, rhythm guitar)m Jon Carin (supporting keyboards and harmonies)m and Gary Wallis (additional drums and percussion). The background vocals, choreography, and harmonies are done by (left to right) Durga McBroom, Sam Brown, and Claudia Fontaine (also RIP). This concert was part of the "Division Bell" tour to support the album of the same name (sadly, their final studio album). Shortly after the tour ended, a video set was released covering it all. The recording was called "Pulse", and the tour has long since been referred to by that name. 50 tons of equipment and over 150 roadies accompanied them around the globe, where over 5 million got to see them in their glory. Every track is an audio and visual work of wonder. Many below are requesting "Comfortably Numb", but there are many more standouts: "Sorrow", "High Hopes". "One OF These Days", "Time", "Keep Talking", and the epic "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" just to name a few. Frankly any one will be a journey unparalleled in live performance.
The same concert: Comfortably Numb. David’s guitar solo from this concert went on record as the best guitar solo ever. Also, any song from that concert is dope.
It is the greatest concert ever created. You must watch from that concert, in that order- shine on you crazy diamond, high hopes, sorrow, comfortably numb. It will blow your mind even more than what you just reacted to.
I was there! The most incredible concert I have ever experienced in my life.Pink Floyd are the best band ever to have existed! They pushed the boundaries and beyond. Please watch the whole concert, you will be amazed! Your reaction was brilliant!
welcome to pink floyd he whole pulse concert is considered to be the best live show ever suggestions from pulse , great gig in the sky , high hopes, one of these days , keep talking and the final number using over 1 million dollars of lighting hold onto your seat its run like hell and of coarse comfortably numb David Gilmore the main man is still performing world wide to sell out crowds at 78 yo you should also watch his live concert at Pompeii in 2016 aged 70 again comfortably numb and run like hell . first time an audience has been there since the roman gladiators The pulse concerts featured even more special effects than the previous tour, including two custom designed airships.[2] Three stages leapfrogged around North America and Europe, each 180 feet (55 m) long and featuring a 130-foot (40 m) arch resembling the Hollywood Bowl venue. All in all, the tour required 700 tons of steel carried by 53 articulated trucks, a crew of 161 people and an initial investment of US$4 million plus US$25 million of running costs just to stage. This tour played to over 5 million people in 68 cities; each concert gathered an average audience of 45,000
Comfortably Numb, High Hopes, Sorrow and Learning to Fly are all great as next steps but every single song from Pulse Love is over the top. There’s never been another concert like this one. It’s the Division Bell album tour in 1994 the live version is called Pulse. So glad you’re reacting to Floyd. Subbed and liked.
You’re gonna love Pulse concert! Also check out from the Delicate Sound of Thunder remastered concert, On The Turning Away, Dogs of War, Us & Them, Run Like Hell, Comfortably Numb… welcome to the rabbit hole to the greatest band ever🎸
Man , your really going to get hooked on Pink Floyd , a lot of great songs for you to check out😊. Comfortably Numb, High Hopes, Sorrow, Keep Talking, Time, Great Gig In The Sky , Shine on you Crazy Diamond and on and on 😊.
Hey there, It's Beth Ann, (AKA Grammy), and Kaelyn. I was waiting for the day you discovered Pink Floyd. Being a teen in the 70's they were on my top 10. I still have their CD in my car, even though my car doesn't have a CD player, I still listen thru my Apple music on my cars Bluetooth.
I was there too, the night before they filmed the concert on the 20th October. I wanted to go that night, because it was my birthday, but it was sold out, so we managed to get tickets for the 19th. It was the best concert I had ever seen, or will ever see. Nothing since then has come remotely close.
I was there on the 19th as well, maybe saw you, I agree with you, unforgettable experience and never been matched, watch reactions every day just to see people having their mind blown.
Anything from almost any live show is what Pink Floyd are renowned for and Gilmours guitar playing is sublime in the Pulse concert. Tim Renwick plays the second guitar, he is a session musician.
We have Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, both in surround! Listen every Friday evening! Such awesome music Gilmore’s guitar sings through all of the surround so beautifully!🎵🎶🎸 Great reaction. You definitely must do more!!❤❤
Well, well, i do feel ancient now😊, just ending a long day already and this arrives, i must admit it took me a while to grow into pink Floyd but once i started to really give it a chance i got it! Total classic here, thank you as always
Great reaction dude & welcome to the world of wonder that is Floyd. Check out any of the suggestions below but let me save you some savage comments by giving you some advice. Never pause during a David Gilmore guitar solo. Some people get pretty savage about it. I was at this concert. I was 32 at the time & had tears running down my face most of the time. The only original members on stage are David Gilmore, Guitar & lead vocal. Richard wright, keyboards & vocals. Nick Mason, Drums. The others are all top musicians & vocalists in their own right.
Pink Floyd is the best. Consider Pulse version, "Hey You", "High Hopes", "Comfortably Numb", "On the Turning Away", "Mother", and from 1973 studio version "Timer" and "The Great Gig in the Sky" with Clare Torry. Every song is very different and all tells a story that not always is obvious.
All I can say is that you're in for a real mind-blowing treat in the coming months with this band - strap yourself in and make sure you have a box of tissues by your side as the journey will get quite emotional.
The lead vocalist David Gilmour, is also the laad guitarist.... Considered one of the best there ever was. The other guy is a backup road musician, but pretty damn good in his own right. As they say... you ain't seen nothin' yet!! "Comfortably Numb" by them next! Studio version, or from this same 'Pulse' live concert of 1994. 👍
Stick with this great Pulse concert-----it'll knock your socks off since every song's a banger. Try their beautiful song, High Hopes, next, then shift gears into hyper-drive with One Of These Days.
Also, just subscribed in anticipation of more Pink Floyd. The other video you have of the gal doing Wish You Were Here. If you liked that, please check out Pink Floyd doing it at the same concert, Pulse. You’ll be blown away.
Actually, it's not a typical Pink Floyd song. Yes - it was a hit in discos all over the world in the late 70s and 80s. But that's why the band doesn't claim it as much. Pink Floyd are typical exponents of art rock, psychedelic rock or progressive rock, but not pop. That's the image that Bob Ezrin, the producer of The Wall, gave them. No one in the band wanted a children's choir singing on the track. Yet Ezrin secretly sent a sound engineer to a nearby school, where they recorded several choral parts to incorporate into the song. When he played them for the band members, they were satisfied and left it at that. However, the song became a worldwide hit only after the single was released in the US. It broke all the charts. If you want the real Pink Floyd, listen to Echoes, Time, Money, Shine on you Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here. Ideally, listen to the entire Pulse concert. It's got most of the typical songs, and it's also a feast for the eyes...
It was a huge hit in the UK before the US - in fact It was the final British number one of the 1970s. Who would have guessed Pink Floyd would have that accolade?
If I were you I wouldn't moan about having to listen to Floyd- nothing like expanding your listening material! Some of us have been listening to this music for eons!
Yes, the Pulse Concert was epic. But Pink Floyd is sooo much more. They have always managed to get a little more out of the available possibilities than expected. If I'm not lying completely flat, they were, for example, the first or at least among the first to hold concerts in Quattro Sound, so that even the visitor at the back has the feeling of being right in the middle of it all.
ANYTHING from the PULSE Concert will be good ~ "Time", the original "Wish You Were Here", "Sorrow", "High Hopes", "Coming Back To Life", really anything. But the song that brought the house down was "Comfortably Numb". It's been called - arguably - one of the greatest concert performances ever recorded. But don't take my word for it ~ go see for yourself! BTW, you might recognize the second guitar soloist, Tim Renwick, from several Elton John albums in the 70's and 80's.
This was 1994 and probably the greatest music event of all time outside of Opera. 2 and a half hours of music so good , this is one of the least requested numbers. The Delicate Sound Of Thunder world tour from the late 1980's and Pulse from 1994 are so popular, they continue to release remastered DVD 's. I still have my original CD and video ( VHS ), but they are nearly 30 years old so i paid $120 about 6 months ago for the latest remastered DVD. I'm a pensioner with no money, but was money well spent. ANYTHING from this concert will melt your mind, but i suggest you listen to the recorded album versions of Time and The Great Gig In The Sky as one song, before doing the live versions.
You have no idea what you have gotten yourself into. IMO this is one of the three greatest bands in history. The rabbit hole is deep. If you listen to the Dark Side of the Moon album you will have listened to an album that set sales records for years!! I'm jealous of you. I wish I could hear them again for the first time. Speaking of "Time", it's a Pink Floyd song and one of their best and a great choice for your next listen.
You should make a point of seeing The Wall, the movie that spawned this music. David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, and Stevie Ray Vaughn are to me the three greatest rock guitarists ever. On a given day I'll think one of them is greatest. The next, I'll change my mind.
Not the best place to start a Pink Floyd rabbit hole exploration, but I guess it's better than none at all. This single song is taken from an album that was written for a particular purpose - a theme, and as such wouldn't normally be indicative of what the band might write on any given day. Sure it does indicate the supreme level of musicianship they are capable of. You also need to remember that while Pink Floyd was a leader of producing music at the highest level of quality in a live setting, it limits the bands ability to reproduce what was recorded in the studio, and as such so much can be missing in a live performance. A good example of this can be seen in the Pompeii recordings. Whilst they are a STANDOUT collection of songs, they can't touch the audio sounds and mixes produced in the studio. So many of their records had elements that just couldn't be reproduce on stage and/or wasn't reproduced on stage to save time and money and some songs lack authenticity of the original recording accordingly. I'm glad you enjoyed this recording, but can I suggest, if you are serious about discovering PF, that you start from the earlier stuff and work your way forward. This will show some progression in the bands evolution, but perhaps more importantly, show the how the band member's level of participation has changed over the years (particularly Gilmore and Water) and what influence that has had on the lyrics and musicality of the songs and records over time. Some of the earlier stuff is weird and fantastic, where as some of the later stuff is somewhat a little less weird but fantastic too!
If you're going to go down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole it would be nice if you discovered the music through the studio/audio versions first for the full Sonic lyrical and production experience. They are layers upon layers of sound and production. Not to mention lyrics that are some of the most profound in Rock. I believe it makes experiencing them live afterwards all the more enjoyable. Check out the studio version of "Time" by them.
This is the slightly cut version which jumps in the build up. The blu-ray doesn't do this. This track gave PF their only UK no1 chart hit back in 1979.
Welcome to the real world and the masterpiece that is Pink Floyd. After experiencing Pink Floyd you will never want to return the rock you have been living under.😂
hio again 555- to like "the BOX i asked for - try this oldie from waylon jennings- "WRONG" a jazzy funny country song by a great artist of the past! al
I didn't know if you realized that you can hear the song real well because you are wearing headphones. We are not so every little word or comment that you make muffles the music to our ears. Many channels talk about the song before it starts a once, maybe twice the video is stopped, so a comment can be made again after the song finishes. It kinda makes sense. It's hard to react to a song if you haven't heard it. Anything else would be just butchering the song.
Keep talking from pulse tour please. Another live album is momentary lapse of reason tour, from 87-88. Check it out, some excellent tracks including "Time."
You ain't seen nothing yet mate. All of Pulse was amazing. Wasn't into Pink Floyd then, but I got offered a free ticket to this night...., and turned it down. Yeah, what an idiot! "Sorrow" from Pulse.
Same concert...Comfortably Numb, Sorrow, Wish You Were Here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Run Like Hell, Coming Back To Life, etc. Only one golden rule when reacting to Pink Floyd...NEVER EVER pause a David Gilmour solo...it seriously pisses off the music gods.
Uh Oh, this is a rabbit hole you're going to go deep into! No there are not 2 lead guitarists in the original band. The singer and red guitar player is the guitarist for Pink Floyd, David Gilmour. He plays multiple parts in the studio version, so to do a live show he must bring in a comparably talented guitarist to play parts he normally overdubbed in the studio. And David is magnanimous and lets other people shine so let him loose with solos too. This solo was nothing compared to the one from this concert in the song "Comfortably Numb". Oh and these videos from the so called HD Pink Floyd Channel are crap. Use the ones labeled "PULSE Restored & RE-Edited" These are distorted video (stretched) and not as good audio. th-cam.com/video/7kWl-ZGMwkQ/w-d-xo.html ( Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (PULSE Restored & Re-Edited) ) This song is from a decade after their really big explosion of incredible soundscapes, starting with Dark Side of the Moon in 1973, which to this day is one of the highest selling albums of all time. Your musical education is incomplete until you have listened to the whole album from start to finish. It is a complete work, not a collection of songs and tells a story. And all of the tracks from Dark Side of the Moon are done in this PULSE concert, but do the studio version first. Here is one from before Dark Side, and is part of the unique and varied sounds Pink Floyd innovated: th-cam.com/video/CK_BcyKOAt4/w-d-xo.html ( Pink Floyd - One Of These Days (PULSE Restored & Re-Edited) ) I bet you've never heard the country music slide guitar sound so heavy and psychedelic.... There are so many incredible tracks from both early and later Pink Floyd. David Gilmour is still going strong at 78 years young, as he just released a new album in Sept and completed a 21 show tour in Rome, London, LA and NYC back in Nov 2024. He did some beloved Pink Floyd tracks as well as from his new album. Here is a compilation of one song from different venues: th-cam.com/video/SOKlfW3ABtA/w-d-xo.html ( David Gilmour - The Piper's Call Live Around The World ) that woman singing beside him is his daughter Romany, who sings lead on one of the tracks and backup for the rest.
Love Floyd, but really can't stand this song, especially the awful Cockney accent, even worse on their music video with the children. David's guitar playing is always good though.
Yeah, do all the songs from the pulse 1994 concert. You won’t regret it. You have sorrow run like hell shine on your crazy diamond. They do the whole dark side of the moon live keep talking any song you pick actually will be amazing. High hopes there is another song I just thought of.
The whole Pulse live concert is epic.
Concert only missing one thing, Clare Torry. But still are epic
Anything, everything "Pulse"......you"ll be very happy!
Exactly what this guy said.
@@uwmxerexactly what those guys said!
Ditto.
Comfortably Numb from the Pulse concert - the greatest live guitar solo ever!!!!

I was there! The most incredible concert I have ever experienced in my life.Pink Floyd are the best band ever to have existed! They pushed the boundaries and beyond. Please watch the whole concert, you will be amazed! Your reaction was brilliant!
Dave Gilmour sings and lead guitar. The other guitarist, Tim Renwick, plays rhythm guitar, but in this song gets a few bars to show off his chops
Comfortably numb from the same concert!! You won’t be disappointed!!!
welcome to pink floyd he whole pulse concert is considered to be the best live show ever suggestions from pulse , great gig in the sky , high hopes, one of these days , keep talking and the final number using over 1 million dollars of lighting hold onto your seat its run like hell and of coarse comfortably numb David Gilmore the main man is still performing world wide to sell out crowds at 78 yo you should also watch his live concert at Pompeii in 2016 aged 70 again comfortably numb and run like hell . first time an audience has been there since the roman gladiators
The pulse concerts featured even more special effects than the previous tour, including two custom designed airships.[2] Three stages leapfrogged around North America and Europe, each 180 feet (55 m) long and featuring a 130-foot (40 m) arch resembling the Hollywood Bowl venue. All in all, the tour required 700 tons of steel carried by 53 articulated trucks, a crew of 161 people and an initial investment of US$4 million plus US$25 million of running costs just to stage. This tour played to over 5 million people in 68 cities; each concert gathered an average audience of 45,000
My father bought me the VHS of Pulse in 1995 when I was about 14..Pink Floyd fan ever since
Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Springsteen, Rolling Stones, Crosby Stills and Nash - the music I grew up with. Never get tired of it!
Watch COMFORTABLY NUMB from the same PULSE concert
This concert from over 30 years ago is stil the very very best concert I have ever seen. And I have seen a lot.

It was awesome. I was there at Earls Court just over 30 years ago and I still love Floyd as much now as I did then. Great reaction 👍
I was there too, the night before they filmed the concert on the 20th October. I wanted to go that night, because it was my birthday, but it was sold out, so we managed to get tickets for the 19th. Hard to believe it was 30 years ago.
I was 19 in Denver. Nothing will ever top it.
Anything from almost any live show is what Pink Floyd are renowned for and Gilmours guitar playing is sublime in the Pulse concert. Tim Renwick plays the second guitar, he is a session musician.
EVERYTHING from Pulse is epic. After a world tour of the show, they sold out Earl's Court for 15 nights!
We have Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, both in surround! Listen every Friday evening! Such awesome music Gilmore’s guitar sings through all of the surround so beautifully!🎵🎶🎸
Great reaction. You definitely must do more!!❤❤
Like everyone else: this whole concert is fantastic. My favorites: High Hopes, Comfortably Numb, Wish you Were Here and The Great Gig in the Sky.

Pink Floyd "One of these days" Pulse Concert
Great reaction dude & welcome to the world of wonder that is Floyd.

"Comfortably Numb" by them next! Studio version, or from this same 'Pulse' live concert of 1994. 👍
Subscribed. Ready for the Floyd journey. You're life is about to change
The whole Pulse concert was made into a DVD and CD which I think you can order but maybe not Ebay probably best chance.
From the same PULSE collection, please check out TIME and also SORROW.
Do the whole concert! Amazing.
great reaction, this band is like no other ;)
Stick with this great Pulse concert-----it'll knock your socks off since every song's a banger. Try their beautiful song, High Hopes, next, then shift gears into hyper-drive with One Of These Days.
Got to watch Comfortably Numb, Sorrow from this same Pulse concert
A rabbit hole to enjoy
Also, just subscribed in anticipation of more Pink Floyd. The other video you have of the gal doing Wish You Were Here. If you liked that, please check out Pink Floyd doing it at the same concert, Pulse. You’ll be blown away.
Thanks!
Try "Keep Talking" from the Pulse concert, or "Sorrow", or "Comfortably Numb", or....well, ever song from this concert is iconic.

Add Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell from Pulse....of course, anything from this concert is fire.
great reaction, id recommend that you try "COMFORTABLY NUMB " from the
same pulse concert
You must do "Sorrow" from the Pulse concert.
He 80s equivalent of the 70's Alice Cooper schools out.
A commentary on the private school system. Guy Pratt a master bassist.

Pink Floyd rabbit hole time

I wish I could hear them again for the first time.
Speaking of "Time", it's a Pink Floyd song and one of their best and a great choice for your next listen.
Do 'Run Like Hell' from Pulse. It will BLOW YOUR MIND.
The Bass player is Guy Pratt, do a search for ' Guy Pratt like a prayer'
"Hope this is good quality " 😂😂😂

This will show some progression in the bands evolution, but perhaps more importantly, show the how the band member's level of participation has changed over the years (particularly Gilmore and Water) and what influence that has had on the lyrics and musicality of the songs and records over time. Some of the earlier stuff is weird and fantastic, where as some of the later stuff is somewhat a little less weird but fantastic too!
1 lead guitarist, but here David Gilmour lets 2nd guitar get in a 2nd solo here, that's Tim Renwick a semi regular, semi floydian
After experiencing Pink Floyd you will never want to return the rock you have been living under.😂
NOW DO COMFORTABLY NUMB from PULSE.
Then do RUN LIKE HELL from the same concert
Do High Hopes and Money from this same concert, before you do Comfortably Numb
Could have watched this in even higher quality from Pink Floyd's own channel.
You should do the hole Dark Sido of the Moon album and also Comfortably Numb Pulse 94 performance
Watch the Sorrow video from this concert.
hio again 555- to like "the BOX i asked for - try this oldie from waylon jennings- "WRONG" a jazzy funny country song by a great artist of the past!

Welcome to the Pink Floyd Rabbit Hole. I have been there since 1978. :)
NEVER! interrupt a Gilmour Solo it's against the law.
If you want to watch a good video look at Pink Floyd at Pompei.
Keep talking from pulse tour please. Another live album is momentary lapse of reason tour, from 87-88. Check it out, some excellent tracks including "Time."
Si no conoces a Pink Floyd.. dedícate a otra cosa..
You ain't seen nothing yet mate.
All of Pulse was amazing.
Wasn't into Pink Floyd then, but I got offered a free ticket to this night...., and turned it down.
Yeah, what an idiot!
"Sorrow" from Pulse.
can you pls react to red gum - i was only 19
Same concert...Comfortably Numb, Sorrow, Wish You Were Here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Run Like Hell, Coming Back To Life, etc. Only one golden rule when reacting to Pink Floyd...NEVER EVER pause a David Gilmour solo...it seriously pisses off the music gods.
13/10? You'll have to give "Comfortably Numb" 75/10 then! ;)
Great reaction but be warned you have no idea the rabbit hole your jumping into! Pink Floyd will change your life
Uh Oh, this is a rabbit hole you're going to go deep into!

This song is from a decade after their really big explosion of incredible soundscapes, starting with Dark Side of the Moon in 1973, which to this day is one of the highest selling albums of all time.
Your musical education is incomplete until you have listened to the whole album from start to finish. It is a complete work, not a collection of songs and tells a story. And all of the tracks from Dark Side of the Moon are done in this PULSE concert, but do the studio version first.
Here is one from before Dark Side, and is part of the unique and varied sounds Pink Floyd innovated:

I bet you've never heard the country music slide guitar sound so heavy and psychedelic....
Here is a compilation of one song from different venues:
th-cam.com/video/SOKlfW3ABtA/w-d-xo.html ( David Gilmour - The Piper's Call Live Around The World ) that woman singing beside him is his daughter Romany, who sings lead on one of the tracks and backup for the rest.
Love Floyd, but really can't stand this song, especially the awful Cockney accent, even worse on their music video with the children. David's guitar playing is always good though.
Are you a teacher? ☺
Yeah, do all the songs from the pulse 1994 concert. You won’t regret it. You have sorrow run like hell shine on your crazy diamond. They do the whole dark side of the moon live keep talking any song you pick actually will be amazing. High hopes there is another song I just thought of.
