I got a 91 Camaro 305, and my question is are or were your factory lifters flat tappet or roller? Im trying to figure tht out so i can pick the right camshaft
My 305 is a roller engine. I ended up putting new roller lifters in when I did the cam but you could re use them if you wanted to. If you have a flat tappet cam I would definitely put new lifters in.
@@Robs_garage90 yeah im definitely going to upgrade from flat tappet lifters and cam to roller lifters and cam...rebulid the heads with better springs, valve stems and rockers...but another questin did u have to dynotune ur ecu because u changed ur cam and lifers?
@@Robs_garage90 is your engine stock? I got a 305 with a couple goodies i want a nice chop lol What cam do you recommend for a nice choppy idle but good performance for deliverability? Stock 78-79 chevy small block 305 with edelbrock 1405 carb, edelbrock perfomer 2102 intake, flowmaster exhaust.... Aftermarket headers but not sure what ones since they were on it when i got it
Mine is rebuilt with a new crank and flat top pistons about 10:1 compression and has trick flow heads. I would look into the comp extreme energy cams. I would got with the xr276 cam or the one that is one step above that
SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the rims nice sounds good to I also like the height truck sits to low looks ugly makes wheel wells look huge if to low
Thanks I appreciate it!

Sounds good! Just make you use retro fit roller lifters in a non roller block. I have a carb on this engine so no computer tuning
@@Robs_garage90 ahh ok. Thanks for the tip.
