It's pretty only on that part. I find it kinda ugly how they only went with that elaborate, beautifully complex design on that raised surface but the rest of it is just an aluminum block.
In the past, it was difficult to choose an IEM due to the huge number of them, and it seems that the turn has come to dongles. I heard many people and articles saying that there is no difference in sound. So, has the choice now depended on shape, weight, manufacturing materials, or an additional feature such as a screen?
You're right. Just like IEMs once you reach a certain price point it's all just diminishing returns. Going from your motherboard's analog audio to a Dual CS43131 for example is very noticeable but anything above that is luxury imo, unless you have a set that's REALLY demanding to drive.
Great review! This beautiful dongle kinda had my expectations high but it was still not up to par with the Onix after all. When you mentioned about the driving powers of dongles, I hope you can take a look and hopefully review the newly released Luxury&Precision W2 Ultra as judging by specs wise (800mW at 5.3Vrms), it is an absolute monster compact dongle at a premium price.
Make a ranking list for dac dongles with categories of score in performance, value, and other stuff include if built in battery etc, coz its hard to remember everything without a list
11:07 phone in general should be able to give 5v 500mA or 2.5w of power I think that's more than enough for a dongle. Some with reverse charging could go above 2 Amp.
I thought the same thing too. I thought it was a Gizaudio review but then I saw the Audio In Review card in the beginning title screen and was confused.
Newbie question here what dongle is best for just IEM, coz I don't need the dongle for headphone ones coz I don't use headphones Secondly is it better to use a 4.4 than a 3.5 for iem?
4.4 theoretically produces better audio quality. I own the moondrop dawn pro and I absolutely love it. it comes with a 3.5 & 4.4 and it's the one of the cheaper options out there ($50). But regardless of its price, it performs like a $100 dongle
I have the Tanchjim space, which I use with my Artti T10 (planar) and Truthear Hexa (hybrid). 4.4 sounds a tiny bit cleaner than 3.5, in my case I can tell. I have 3 cables, one of which has interchangeable audio jacks, and on all three 3.5mm sounds just a tiny bit more muffled (and obviously more quiet since the Tanchjim Space prioritizes the 4.4 and gives that more power). With easily driveable and generally less capable IEMs it probably won't matter as much. The difference is minuscule and you'll only notice it if you get a more expensive dongle with both inputs to compare and also have 2 cables at hand. Even then you can get used to 3.5 with like 2 listens. The whole point of 4.4 is mostly related to how most dongle dacs prioritize it, as in the 4.4 jack will give you more volume than the 3.5. In most cases it doesn't really matter, both can get loud enough. The other reason is just... a beefier connection lol, which is what I really like. As far as power is concerned you don't need anything fancy, even for planars. A 5-10$ generic dongle off Aliexpress will give you enough power while eliminating any sort of internal noise your internal audio chip might interfere with. Just don't expect flawless audio is all, which shouldn't matter if you aren't experiencing that a lot already. The upgrade will be massive, you'll be able to tell regardless. I have one of those and was using it with my planars just fine. In my opinion, get a KA11 for a newbie. It's around 30$, very compact (essentially just a cable) and it can deliver some crazy power. You don't need anything above it to be honest, unless you really want to get into the hobby and buy a dual-chip, multiple output dac with extra gain features, an app etc. If you want to just listen to good audio on the go all of those things just add bulk and complexity.
When are these manufacturers going to add a bass boost button on these smaller devices, 2034?? I know the iFi Gobar has a one, but it's expensive for what it is.
Why not add the price in as an overlay for us? It’s tough to gauge the product when all we have is what you think the range is going it be. Maybe it’s a good guess based on what the manufacturer has said but maybe it’s just pure speculation and it’s way off target. As to the DAC, the benefits of EQ are going to far outweigh the benefits of picking a DAC reconstruction filter mode. No EQ at all and it’s an immediate skip here.
You can already buy it just look for it. 120 for the Not limited version. Kinda a moonriver ti with app support. Ordered the limited version for 10 more as an anime weeb.
The aesthetics and the package design as well, both look extremely good.
Damn that's a beautiful dongle.
If it were just a drawing, it would be normal, but since it is CNC and that has a contrast between the glossy and the matte, it is beautiful
Looks like something Tim Henson would use

That's what she said.

Qudelix seems to be damn good for EQ,moondrop dawn pro bec of power output, price and 4.4mm and any dongle with good stats are seemingly good options

The price for Tanchjim Space would be around my limit. This one is too much for me.
They do NOT all sound the same.
i can confirm they do not sound the same, im treble sensitive makes me feel thristy and dizzy if i use bright dongles
I saw postings for $130 and 140 so spot on

How does it do againt the new Onyx Alpha ?
Finally, a dongle with a wow factor.

please tell me iem cable (jack port) with media controller (volume)?
It’s a bit confusing to see the “Audio In Reviews” title card on a Gizaudio upload.
I thought the same thing too. I thought it was a Gizaudio review but then I saw the Audio In Review card in the beginning title screen and was confused.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm definitely going to change it back to the Gizaudio intro. Thanks for watching!
Luna vs SnowyNight? 🤔
Tangzu recently released a new version of the waners. Could you please make a review on them?

First
I don't like the excessively long intros on these reviews :(
is this any better than moondrop dawn pro it is only 50 bucks what would b the difference if theres anything at all
Probably the design and the powerout, but it doesn't justify a high price
Similiar tuned to the more expensive moonriver tI only on one expect a minor behind for less money. Dawn pro is more warm like the truthear shio.
