Thank you! We have so much fox footage to publish - we are way behind. There was a family in one of the other dens last summer that were huge fun to watch. It might take us another month to get the video out, but it will be great.
Great video. Made my day. As we discussed before let's hope that rat isn't a poison victim. I would be talking to the neighbors about not using poison. Looks like mom may be all the rat control that's needed. Had an a hole here in KC that shot rabbits to protect his flowers. They didn't do much to his flowers. I wanted to pull his flowers at night and pile them on his front porch. If the rabbits eat a little plant more flowers. Same with a garden
We found a dead fox about 10 years ago who had probably been killed after eating poison, and about 4 months ago I found a ringtail. In both case we blame rat poison. We hate the stuff - and anyway, what's wrong with a few rats? They are admirable animals. Rat poison kills foxes, coyotes, owls, ringtails... you name it. We don't have many rabbits but we love to see them, and they're welcome to eat whatever they want. We're lucky that we don't live close to people who might shoot them for eating a few pansies.
Probably say this in some other video, but what kinds of cameras are you using? I know this was 2 years ago and of course lots of new technologies come out since then
We have built 4 other dens, plus the foxes also sometimes live under our shed. They just really enjoy being in this den, even though it is small. They usually choose it over the bigger dens.
Yes, a very good question. It's very likely the parent foxes we've had on the live stream are either related to these little kits from 2018 or perhaps may be the same animals. We have a lot of foxes here, and they pretty much behave like one big happy family. They may all be related. It's not that they hang out together exactly, but they're friendly when they see each other. If only we could DNA test everyone... That would be fascinating.
So nice. Yes. It would be amazing if you were able to do that. I like the names you have given to the members of the new fox family. I enjoyed watching their live feed. Thank you.
The critters move stones and wood around in this den all the time. We've had a skunk family in there for the past week and it looks as though there's been an earthquake in there. Every time we try to scrape out the extra detritus someone moves in and digs up more.
What a blast watching these grey fox pups , your comentary is informative and pleasant. My new favorite video

I wonder if any of these pups are the ones you are filming in the livestreams lately?
That’s a great question. 😀👍.

To the little foxes, it's "Dead rat. Delicious!"
