Thank you for the honest review. I concur completely. I haven't personally had a problem with the shocks. I hope this car stays around for a long time and more parts come out for it
I've ran 10-15 battery packs thru my CF rtr version. I haven't as much as changed the shock preload. It's straight out the box. No issues at all so far aside from the gyro going nuts when i did turn it on. I ordered a HW 10bl combo with it but haven't had a reason to put it in yet. It's far from my favorite rig but I'm in no way disappointed in it. I've only jumped it off my small ramp so jumps have been limited to 10-12 ft high but it's taken it like a champ so far. If it breaks today it doesn't owe me anything. I do hope the aftermarket will get behind it for parts support. I'm not crazy about only having 1 place to get stuff from forever.
Nice! thanks for the detailed review. I also set the droop before running it and no trouble with the diff cups wearing. Actually no trouble at all apart from one failure: one CVD ball broke at the pin and i'm in Rear wheel drive for a while 😅 I have the Carbon RTR, electronics are good so far, only the brakes are too strong (front flips a lot) and not waterproof i've been told
Thank you for your comment, yeah overall its a great little truck, glad you have had a good experience with yours, there will always be the odd breakage, thats partvof the hobby 😀, thank you for watching 👌👍🏻
Luv running this awesome little truck, 200 Quid for the carbon rtr version is a steal in my opion. The smaller Rlaarlo Desert Buggy is also a hoot to drive as well, fast but cheap.
Whoop whoop u put in there where I hit u 😂, that was a hard hit too and it still survived, and it went for a swim ... twice, it took some bad tumbles and landings and still kept goin, I didn't drive it but I would defo recommend this truck, great review buddy and great little truck 🤙🤟💪🤛
I have beat the snot outta my carbon version and its still going strong. And i love the perfect size. I do hope they make a large scale of this truck though, it would sell very well.
Great information video mate. Your luck you didn't get it with electronics. I've changed all the electronics and controller too. And yeap the small screws are a pain. I'm in the process of changing a lot of the screws to 3 mm. And putting battery brackets out wider.
Thank you 👍🏻, yes the 1.5mm screws are a pain 😢, would be interested to see what you do with the battery tray, yeah i always buy rollers if i can, i like to add my own electronics, and always use the same transmitter, i just buy extra recievers 😁
The difference is Arrma is distributing 1.2 million units and they had 600 in the initial release? Yeah its a bit of comparing Oranges to Apples. I like this truck very much and have purchased my own. I love the ROG1 also, Hope they continue to grow. Just hope they don't start pricing them like Arrma or Traxxas.
Thanks for the great honest review! I have the Carbon Fiber RTR version and haven't really changed anything yet. The only issues I have so far is that the car is pretty nose-heavy and that the brakes are waaaay too strong (and the ESC is non-programmable). Obviously, you wouldn't have the second issue in your roller setup, but how about the first? Did you notice that, too?
Thank you very much 😊👍🏻 Yes your correct im able to adjust the esc so the braking is not an issue, yes the car is a little front heavy, so when jumping i tend to give a little more throttle just before it takes to the air, also if you thicken up the centre diff fluid that should give you a little more air control, but mainly its adapting your driving to the car imo, hope that helps 👍🏻
you cold try to make the shocks more durable adding o-rings or fuel tube around the rods to act as bump stops. I did this to the AK917 shocks to stop the e-clips from popping off
The stock differential drive cups are the biggest weakness on these trucks. Completely destroyed mine after only 2 weeks and 6-7 packs. Never ran more than 3S and stock gearing. Thankfully rlaarlo offer upgraded differentials that have stronger drive cups, but that's the biggest issue imo and as of now no one is mentioning or talking about it.
Just saw the section where you mention to adjust the droop screws, that's definitely a great suggestion and I'll be adjusting mine after rebuilding the diffs
Okay so... I waited 2 months for mine, and i cannot say, that it was worthless wait BUT the car has some issues. I have carbon rtr version, but i already changed the radio and esc because they kinda suck. That esc is really smooth, kinda like sensored esc, but the 200% brakes sucks :D so i changed the esc to hobbywing 10bl120 g2 (too :D). The radio is kinda good, but is really not any better than that dumborc which metal version have(dumborc have better gyro with supported transmitter tho). Gyro wasn't working properly(servo wobble) and the reverse was just weird so i changed that to radiolink rc6gsv3. I changed the diff fluids to 100K rear/front and 1mill middle, topped shock oil with 400cst oil and i've ran around 6 packs thru mine. I've broke rear body skid plate, stripped few screws (few 1.5mm ones and one 2mm below motor mount), all shock stand screws bend, lower rear bumper screw was bend (dont know how) and i bend wheelie bar screws :D As for another modifications i build some protection around middle diff so the gunk cant get inside, after watching this video i removed sway bars :D, installed big battery kit, i vented the tires from outside and patched the rim, and i set the droop screws and that's about it. I like this car a lot, but in my opinion, the center diff "cover" is major flaw on its own and the weak standoffs and wheelie bar too. Maybe ill order some titanium screws or S2 standoffs in the future. Im still running stock pinion on 3s, but i definitely will run that thing on 4s sometime. Overall really decent car. I've had a lot of rcs (including kraton 6s and traxxas udr) and this little basher is the overall toughest one!!! Nice vid, and nice car :D !
Thank you, great breakdown on your findings, as you say there are some issues with this car, im glad i went for my own electronics, i agree though. A great little rc car and good fun 😁. Again thank you for ypur comment and support, 👍🏻👌🤟
@RCvapor ... it's not a screw issue ... it is the gear on the motor keeps coming out ot contact with I guess the pinion gear and I keeping having to fix it 5 or so times per battery used ... I like the omni terminator carbon but after getting my arrma big rock 6S it's hard to be happy with the 1/12 scale Not 1/10 scale omni terminator carbon ... RLAARLO Need To Make A Proper 1/7 Or 1/8 Scale Omni Terminator Instead of calling the 1/12 omni terminator a 1/10 when it is not ... Also if it were not for the awful range of the YIDEDRAW STRIKER G I'd prefer that truck for the incredible wheelie bar alone and it has a better body and goes seemingly just as fast and it's a 2S battery truck and it's much less expensive ... the omni terminator wheelie bar is utter Garbage though
You mentioned a 120C LiPO that fits the factory set-up battery tray, but I couldn't find the specific make/model in your vids. Could you please link it? Great channel, BTW!
@@RCvapor Very nice - thanks! I've also experimented with using the Gens Ace 60c 3600 mAh "shorty" packs. If you put in the vertical strap mounts, you can still keep the ESC in the factory location but put the shorty pack vertically and gain some extra mAh run time. I put a castle sidewider system in my Terminator roller and it's just insane on 3s! love it

Thank you, yea me too, a great car 👍🏻
Nice video! I’m actually just waiting for my rally car , based on this chassis. That’s why I watched this.
Cheers mate, yep waiting too, I've gone for the rally roller myself, I have done another video where I go into more detail on chassis👍🏻
@ I also chose the roller. Saw a video on painting the body that was pretty cool. Will have to check your chassis video out:-)
Great job on providing such a thorough and honest review!🤪
Thank you 😊

Yeah the AMD12 is preposterously fast, like 72kmph on 3s if i remember correctly. A real riot of a car

Yes agree completely 👍🏻👌
Thanks for the truth big channels made this the greatest of all time bashers gonna pass my stampede is all upgraded so im good 👍 thanks 😊
Definitely wanna know what you find for new shocks
Will definitely share, once i find 👍🏻

Looking forward to seeing more videos on this truck! What shocks are you going to get?
Thank you, definitely more videoes on this truck, not 100% sure on which shicks yet, seen a few that may work, will definitely update once i know 😀

I did that with my 917 too 👍🏻 yes i may try on the omni, although it will be good to see if there are any shocks that will work as spares too 😀
What can be done about the chassis slap if I adjust the droop screws ? My Chassis is already showing some wear from jumping.
If you want to prevent chassis slsp, stiffer springs in the shocks will help, i will be doing a video soon on different shock setups and options 👍🏻
So how did you raised the arms to prevent cups from fast wearing?
By screwing in the droop screws, i show this in detail on my previous omni video 👍🏻
Nice review buddy, seems very good for the price little bargain 👌
Cheers mate 👍🏻

Power HD 1250MG Micro Servo
@@RCvapor thanks! Is it powerful enough?

Sanwa mx 6 reciever, as you may have seen at the end i went fully into a pond, did this twice, fully submerged snd still working 💪
Where is this buetifull place? ( at the end of the video)
Its in leicester uk, west park bike trails, a great bash spot 👍🏻
How low did you droop? I basically went to 0 almost...
I did about 8 turns mate, just eyeballed it tbh, not quite 0
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you 👍🏻
nice
Thank you 👍🏻
Get the Carbon version... It's better than most RC trucks for double the price.
This is the carbon version ? Just the roller. So no electronics.
