Looks great from the front! I would imagine it looks equally great from the back. What about the sides? I would think that as you look down at it while playing, you see where the front and back don't match up, or more likely, don't touch, and you see the original surface and two wrap edges? I don't think I would be happy with that.
Im restoring a rgt47dx that someone tried this on. 4 layers of paint and the tape got stuck so he painted over it . Neon orange, some kind of red, black and black peral. I did a relic and left the remnants of the old paint job's. Looks so cool.
You will need to keep your guitar away from sunlight. If you don't a colour like Tony's pretty in pink one will have bands of different shades when you remove the wrap. Each to his own, but i prefer to keep my guitars original.
@@addictedtogear Pure experience, having worked in the Hi-Fi industry, i have seen the cosmetic damage caused by self adesive labels to the finish on painted surfaces. It is very dificult to remove the stains, and nothing looks worse than an area where a label has been and is a different shade of colour to the rest of the finish. I have just had to replace a scratch plate on a fender acoustic due to the previous owner leaving the "free lesson" sticker on, this left a area of a different shade, that would not clean off.
I once put the Jokomo Led Zep 4 symbols on a guitar. Looked excellent.
Looks cool man. Tiger stripes never go out of fashion!
You've gone Beretta Crazy!
Nice just got one myself thinking of grabbing a Vega Trem as well and following in your footsteps!?
Would be great if youd shown the entire process of installing the wrap
Love to see another baretta video

Nice. Thank You.

1st!...I've got an old beat up black telecaster that needs a facelift. Maybe this is my answer, I'll check them out!
Telecasters would be even easier as they are generally nice and flat!
@@Mr.PhatsVarietyVibesShow I don’t think the tone would change enough to notice a difference.

Would have been good to see the details on video, specially when you place the vinyl and when you cut the edges.
That's goofy I love it
lol The Toronto Maple Laffs.
If you want to make it last longer without getting a scratch in the wrap, you can also varnish it for finish if you want it to be permanent ofc!
Great job. I guess we have to spray clear coat (lacquer) on it to make it last longer, right ?
No lacquer is needed
But Duuuudddeeee! The decals " smother da tonezz ", lol.
J/k looks interesting. Thanks Tony!
LOL! Imagine the nightmares this would give Eric Johnson.
Ah ah ! Belle idée !
Salmon is a fish when did it become a color?
Only issue is, where is the seam? If it is a front to back wrap, it's got to be meeting edges at some point.
The seam is on the edge of the guitar not the top or bottom
Interesting. Thx Tony.
Thanks for watching!
no heat gun needed?
nope
Wow! You did that so fast! lol
Too many guitars, too little time!
Niiiice!
