Front Fender Installation Tips - 2018+ Honda Gold Wing

I wish I’d seen this video before I installed my front fender a few weeks ago. I could not get the upper left bolt to start. I finally swapped the two upper bolts despite checking threads, however, both started with no issues. I guess I just got lucky. Thanks for pointing out the floating nut plate.

great tip Max…thank you…perfect timing for me as i’m probably going to install the fender extension…once the front fender portion is off, there’s 4 bolts holding the rear portion on ?…any issues with that coming off or going back on ?….my thought process here, is if it’s not too difficult to get the rear portion off, i’d install the extension with that part off of the bike…hold the extension in place, mark the inside of the fender with an awl and drill the holes from the inside of the fender so they’re perfectly aligned…thx in advance

It's easiest to just remove the front wheel and then mount the extension. The odds are low you will drill those two holes properly with the fender and wheel on the bike. One is always slightly off.

Max, a small blob of grease will also hold the nylon washer in place prior to fitting the bolt.
