Egyptian_Thoth there might be workshops. but really it is learn as you go and research as much as you can. buy books watch videos. talk to the people who work at places like Lowe's or home depot to know what works with what.

Did you put a finish on it, or a sealer? Sorry I don't know if that's the right wording or if it's even needed. I've never done this before, but I definitely have a lot of old furniture I want to makeover but I know nothing about this stuff.

I'm so glad I found your videos. I'm moving to Florida from Pennsylvania and was planning to leave my old heavy furniture pieces behind....but now I'm rethinking my plans and considering taking some wth me and repurposing them. With a little(or a lot lol) of elbow grease, I'm sure I can upcycle a few bureaus and credenzas. It'll save money, help the environment aand give me the satisfaction of seeing a beautiful "new" piece of furniture. Don't worry, I plan to go wild with COLOR!! Thanks again for the INSPIRATION!!

This turned out beautiful! I just found a really nice wood desk for my sons room. I just did a galaxy moral on his wall, so I’m painting the desk black and painting planets on the draws. This was a great tutorial to show me how to get a nice lasting finish, thank you.
Initially I did not see the true potential in that piece of furniture. The result is very nice!! It doesn't look at all dated or like someone just slapped paint on it. You took the time to make it right and current. Thanks for opening my eyes and showing me that I must finally get a real sander in order to get a similar result. You've been blessed with talent because I might have ended up in the ER if I did all of that with those nails. ;-) Thanks again!
