My favorite style. I love displaying steampunk in my shop. Your project was incredible. Every time I thought you were going to stop, you moved on to creating more details. I guess we all have to sell pieces to keep the journey alive, but you have to be so emotionally attached to this piece at this point. Maybe flip a few other pieces to cover the cost. Thanks for sharing your "drawer mistake".....I've done a fair amount of trim carpentry and in past years, pocket doors in houses have become common....well, I've nailed my fair share shut when putting on base trim. Just about every carpenter I've talked to has a "pocket door" story.....so. right there with you. Very cool piece!!

For an interesting texture try spraying a small amount of water on the surface and then spray oil base paint on to the wet surface. 😎👍

I think there is probably no one making this style of furniture out there in the Steam Punk world. I would love to see a collection. The base furniture is priced right, curb side pricing is just great, so profit margin is good ... a few corresponding pieces for the living room ... and especially bedroom furniture ... Wow! No one else does your style. It would be insanely popular .....

Epic build man! I laughed out loud when you said you nailed the drawers shut. I was expecting you to say something about the light because you just put it in and I think that's why it was so funny, it was unexpected. We all make mistakes, it's a part of the process. Two other artists I like to watch are nerdforge and Bobby Duke. She does a lot of models, painting, cosplay and Bobby does flipping amazing artwork. Both of them use many different methods that I think you might like to see. Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing more!

So you have inspired me to do the same thing to my dresser/cabinet. Thank you for your tips. I thought that I would have to buy all copper pipes and such, but you showed you can buy wooden dowels at much a cheaper cost and just spray paint them copper. I guess I'll have to invest into a spray nozzle/gun to achieve the greased old worn look. Such an amazing piece of art you created. I think you sold it for a bargain. You could have gotten so much more for it. Thanks again, your incredible.
